We appreciate you being here since this program is optional and discusses best practices for your consideration. If you are thinking of adopting any of them, please make sure to review the requirements in your area region with your broker, branch manager, or manager, including those related to contacting consumers. We do want to highlight the importance of the Telephone Consumer Protection act, better known as tcpa. The general rules are that it's okay to call people if the person recently gave you their phone number, but remember to check the DNC list lists regularly if they haven't spoken to that person in a while. You will also want to check the DNC list anytime you don't have permission. Automated calling texting platforms should never be used. Pre recorded messages in artificial voices should never be used. You will be personally liable for any violations of the tcpa. We'll mention the TCPA a few times throughout this presentation. Log in to my cbdesk.com and click on the MoxiWorks product suite tile. Select My Website from the top blue navigation bar. You'll be directed to the Agent Website Admin tool where you can control your site's features. In this tutorial, we'll demonstrate the process of configuring a vanity domain. Please note that this entails an extra purchase via a domain registrar, such as a website like Godaddy.com in the completing your site's activation section, click on the Go there link beside Set up a vanity domain. Its recommended to open another browser tab and visit the website where you purchased your domain. Log into the site to access your domain details. Returning to the Moxie Websites tab, enter your custom domain name along with its extension, whether it's.com, org net or realtor. Remember, you don't need the preceding World Wide Web, but you do need the extension. You can set this as your primary domain once it's verified by checking the box, or simply proceed by hitting Continue. The next screen offers instructions on mapping your domain via the registrar service where you bought it. You can select based on your registrar choice. The key action is to update the A and C named DN as record types. Use the values displayed in your Moxie website account as they might differ from those shown in the video. After adjusting the A and C name records on your domain registrar, click to verify. Keep in mind that although it typically happens swiftly, verification may take up to 48 hours. If it takes longer, you might need to try again or get some additional assistance. When you change your domain name, the site's secure socket layer might become inactive. SSL is essentially what secures your website, ensuring it's a safe and encrypted connection. If that occurs, return to the homepage, where you'll find an option under the Common Tasks menu to apply an SSL certificate. If I click on that and proceed, both of my check marks are active, but if you're encountering the Not Secure warning, there's likely an option to activate SSL that you can click afterward. Simply refresh the page and you should be all set.
