Okay, we're back. We're on See Tucson Real Estate Facebook.
Woohoo!
Good morning.
Good morning. And guess who's here today? That's Darren Jones. Woo! Celebrity is here today.
I do exist.
I don't think you've been with us for like 3 weeks. I know, 3 weeks. Yeah, 3 weeks. God, it's good to have you back, buddy.
I was not sleeping in. I don't know what he said.
He will. I said you were showing property. You have been.
That's true.
And he will be showing property in a few minutes actually when we're done here today. He's out. Who's in there? Who?
Dennis. Dennis.
Dennis.
Good morning, Dennis. Dennis is in Idaho.
Idaho, man.
Happy to see you.
Are you in Idaho, Dennis?
Type now and tell us if you're in Idaho. I think Dennis is in Idaho. And I hope you got my email about the patches. We'll talk about that later. Anyways, so we got some really fun stuff to show you. There's a ton of really cool holiday stuff going on in downtown Tucson.
It's Santa! I know, Santa's here!
And we want to talk to you about all the fun stuff. If you've got kids, this is going to be the place to be over the next few weeks. And we've got some amazing houses coming up that we really are—
Yeah, really fun stuff.
I'm bouncing off the walls.
This because I really want to show you these houses, but I have no photographs and I have— I can't show you anything, but they're coming. So I'm going to give you a sneak, uh, not a preview, but it'll be verbal. It's like a story that you buy and you listen to the book.
I'm going to tell you the books on tape.
Books on tape. And so we're going to show you some cool stuff. We're going to take a walk down there. Santa's already down there. I can see him. And as we're walking, I'm going to give you kind of an overview of some of the cool buildings and stuff that you're seeing in downtown. And then, uh, before we go, Dennis said welcome back, Darren. Vivian says hi, Tony.
He says he's still in Seattle.
Oh, you're still in Seattle! Hey, Seattle!
Alright, so let's go see Tucson.
You're on that side, I'm going with you. On your right here, you're gonna see Marbles, which is really nice. The lady, um, here's, uh, Lisa. They've got a patented jewelry store here, and it's, um, it has these little marbles that snap in, and you can get all these different colors, and they snap into these really pretty necklaces and earrings and stuff like that. So let's walk forward. The next stop is the Olive store, Olive Oil store, right, Darren? Yes, Olive Oil. So, James, this is Olive Central. Olive Central. Yeah, it's pretty. Look at it. If you can see, you can see us. Look at it. Hi! You can see him in there. But you can see all the beautiful stuff they have going on here. They did a nice— oh, by the way, so let's— downtown is going to be doing Christmas window contests. So there'll be Christmas window contests down here. So when you come down here for the holidays, there's gonna be some fun stuff going on. I'm assuming they're getting ready to decorate all this. This is the new Screamerie ice cream store. I have not had any of the ice cream yet.
Have you?
They're not open, so we can't ask for samples. That's just not right. So let's just keep going that way. You can see Santa popping in. Can you see him? He's over there. I saw Santa! This is right here. You can get your hair cut, make yourself good looking before you go out strutting this little strip here. And then this is the, um, Elvira's, which we have had dinner here. And I have to tell you, if James— if you peek in that window right here, maybe you can just get a glimpse up there. There is a thousand pieces of blown glass in the ceiling. Can you see up there? Yeah, move it up and get the color.
There's a glass around the entire restaurant. It's backlit and it changes colors.
Yeah, it's a gigantic organic chandelier, kind of. Okay, so we're walking that way. Our connection, our connection is weak.
Do we have—
our connection is weak. Do, um, is it on D&D or do I have to stare? Uh, no. Okay, okay, so we're having issues. Hold on just a second. Can we do it from here? Is it better? Are we better? Okay, we're better. Sorry, we almost had technical difficulties. This is like every time we're trying to learn how to do this. I think, uh, this is, I think, going to be the new tea shop. And if it is the new tea shop space, a friend of ours named Shane Barella has a tea shop called The Scented Leaf down at the university, which is very popular, and they have amazing tea, and it's organic, and it's beautiful tea, and it's loose leaf, and they have sleepy time tea that knocks you out like in 20 minutes, and there's nothing else in it but tea leaves.
Oh wow.
And there's— I think Shane's gonna be opening his store here, and I think it's this address. So we're just super excited that Shane's coming to open a second location. So hi Shane Barella, and your scented tea leaf. Um, go to Shane's website right now, and he has, uh, He is doing a thing too, a big Christmas bonus. I think he's still doing it this weekend. You might want to check, but he's giving away a lot of cool stuff for gifts and stuff to help fund the store. What's the website called? Huh?
What's the website?
Uh, I don't know.
And here we're in front of The Hub.
The Hub, which we love The Hub. Say hi!
Hi, Hubsters!
Hey, guys! We love The Hub. We know everybody in here. These are great people. We love their food here. It's a great place to eat outside. They have really good bartenders, so it's a nice stop.
This is your midday and late night go-to.
Okay, so we're getting really close. This is Miracle on Congress. So what we have is Miracle on Congress Street going on, and Santa Claus is actually here, and he is here today from 10 to 6, it looks like, and tomorrow from 10 to 4. And you can see how beautiful this is. Everything inside is Christmas. So let's walk over there so we can pop in. Oh, I hear Christmas music. Can we put you on video? We're doing some Santa Claus stuff to show downtown. Yeah, let's get— can we pop in and say hi? What is your name?
My name is Sadi.
Beautiful. Sadi, look at that.
Wow, that's the prettiest reindeer I ever saw.
Yes, that's a beautiful reindeer.
Wow, just scan around and look at this place. Ah, yeah, nice hot chocolate, cookies.
So come over here, Jason. I will. So it looks like there's a lounge area in here for the kids to hang out. Oh wow, and then the coloring fun.
We're going to have coloring, and then the children's museum will be here from 2:30 to 4:30 for some arts and crafts. And then afterwards, we're going to be Decorating some cookies.
We don't want to do the cookies.
Decorating cookies, making snowflakes, watching cartoons.
This is so exciting. If I was a little kid, I would have been here so bad.
Look at this.
Look at coloring. Oh my gosh. So look at how fun this is. So you're open from 10 to 6 today? Yes. So from 10 to 8 today. Bring the kids down. Look at— you can color.
You could be here.
You could be coloring.
Look how sweet. Isn't that nice? Don't you want to color this? Look at this.
And look how beautiful this is. And then you've got Santa Claus coming and hanging out here with Santa. This is just part of the great fun that's going on. So let's sneak back out of here because we have someone coming in and we don't want to take up— we can sneak out that door, right?
Santa!
James, go that way.
I know you're perfect, man. She's very beautiful. Hey Santa, Merry Christmas!
Thank you, Santa.
Thank you. I've been really good this year and I want peace and love and happiness for the whole world.
I'll check the Santa app to make sure.
I think you want— you wanted world—
sound pretty confident.
Oh, world peace.
World World peace.
World peace.
World peace.
World peace.
Not too many people ask for vegetables these days. Yay, Santa's good to know people are health conscious.
You got Santa kudos. You get like a gold star and everything for that one. This is beautiful. Is this fun? Makes me want to come in here and play. What if I just was this big anyways? Could I color?
I mean, I was going to color.
I want to make cookies.
This is a judge-free So, so can we use your elf's outfit?
So let's talk about what's going on really quick then. So, uh, this is open on every weekend until New Year's Eve— I mean, to, to Christmas Eve. Yeah, till Christmas Eve. So you've got this open, Santa's here, and, um, I heard that, uh, Mrs. Claus, which is on the screen right now, which is kind of funny— Mrs. Claus is actually going to be at the Carriage House on December 17th, and she's going to be there, um, and she's going to read stories and stuff, and she's got cookies and, and Bring your cameras for all of this.
It's a fun bakery.
She does good work.
She does.
We try to spread it out so we're not in the same place all the time.
I appreciate that because what I'm showing here is we got Mrs. Claus at Carriage House on December 17th. You're supposed to be here that night, right?
Yeah, I'm here.
Oh, you're here all day? So Santa's here all day? And well, you guys are separating. That's kind of fun.
Well, I don't know if you ever worked with your spouse, but sometimes it's nice. It's just good.
But Carriage House, you can go online, you You can register there. The kids will learn to bake cookies and do Christmas things, and then Mrs. Claus will be reading and helping. It'll be a lot of fun.
And we— and you do want to do that because I'm sure they'll have, uh, reservations.
And hopefully, I'm sure it'll be packed.
Yeah, Mrs. Claus does draw a crowd. And story time with Mrs. Claus, what more could you ask for? She's a celebrity, she's all over TV right now. I love her. Oh, that's sweet. Um, you've got December 17th, the same night, uh, that you're going to visit Mrs. Claus, you have their downtown Parade of Lights that's going on, and that's really beautiful. It's going to start on 17th Street heading down Stone, and it'll go to Ochoa, and then it does a little kickback over to 13th. There's a— you can get the route on the Downtown Partnership's website. Remember, anything I'm telling you about, or he tells you about, or Santa tells you about, you can go to seetucsonhomes.com or give me a note at the bottom of this Facebook page, and we will link you to all of this stuff that's going on. Okay, so we're gonna sneak that way over there because Santa's got a visitor. Okay, let's go that way.
By the way, also today at Reid Park there is a Christmas craft show, so check that out.
And then on December 10th, we're gonna go this way. Let's get you out of here. Cool. Thank you, Santa.
Thank you. Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas. Thank you very much.
It's coloring reindeer. I love the red chair.
So Santa's getting visitors right now, so we want to make sure that we're not interrupting Santa's visitors because he's got some kids coming in, which is awesome. Um, it's a good shot. So this is called Miracle on Congress Street. Look, we— you're just the star today, our reindeer star. I want to color with her. Um, so, um, the Stillwell House also has something going on on December 10th. You're so close. I got a bar here. Hello. Um, so I'm trying to keep it so you can hear me with all traffic. Sure. Um, the Stilwell House has, uh, something going on with cookies, crafts, a photo booth, and a 2-hour interaction with Santa. That's on December 10th, and then, uh, that's from 10 to noon. Don't forget, December 10th is Second Saturday, right? Uh, Second Saturday, um, it will be crazy down here because you'll have, uh, all of the Santa stuff going on. You have— you have all of the different events. You've got Fox Theater, the Rialto. You want to check all of these guys' websites because they all have stuff going on for the holidays. So I've got like 8 things here. So Mrs. Claus at Carriage House, Miracle on Congress Street, which is where we are right now, the Downtown Parade of Lights, Santa Claus at Stillwell House, Fox Theater has holiday shows going on at foxtucson.com, check them out. Then you got the rialtotheater.com. Don't forget theater is re at the end, not an er. Oh, I got something in my eye. And, um, the Royal Cafe Christmas radio show, check that out. I want to go see that. That's at the Rialto Theater coming up. And Window contest going on. Santa just popped back out. Look, it's like a spotting. It's like a— look, we spy Santa. You can get him through the trees, James. There he is. Very nice, Santa. Okay, then I want to talk to you something, um, uh, Johnny Gibson's is doing something as well, so I'm going to show you that. It's for Casa de los Niños, so it's super important. This is on December 4th. It's from 9 to 12.
It's for—
it's called the, uh, a toy drive and biker event, and it's benefiting Casa de los Niños from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00. This is at Johnny Gibson's, our favorite downtown market. We love them, so you want to stop by there. I think we have gotten a better background for our music, right? Okay, so let's talk about a couple things coming up. Tuna Dito is another one of the beautiful charities, local charities that we have that does amazing things. These are for kids kids that are grieving the loss of someone. And they have a beautiful thing called Camp Aaron, and they take the kids, uh, to camp. And these are kids from 6 to 17 who have lost someone to death, and they, they have grief counseling there, and they get to do lots of activities. So I want to talk to you about tunadito.org because right now there's a state tax where if you donate $400— have you done that, Darren? You've done it. Last year we did it for schools. So Tunadito is one of those places. If you give them $400 it actually comes right back to you on your state taxes, dollar for dollar. So it's a perfect way to give money to this great organization. It's a beautiful place. Um, shout out to Liz. And, um, we— so I want you to know about that. I'm gonna put this up here so you can see tunadito.org. Okay, yeah, dollar for dollar tax credit. This is something to know about. And then let's get over here because Darren's back out and he should be the star because, uh, Darin, I've got these lovely poinsettias. So we have some really cool property coming up. So here comes the light rail. Dan, stay right where you are. It's going to go zooming by. Yeah, there's the light rail.
Ah!
Um, light rails, right? Really cool. So we have a condo. It's a beautiful building and it sits right on the light rail near Main Gate, and it's for $255,000. It's a 2-bedroom, 2-bath. It's gorgeous. It's mint condition condo. And you can be like, you can walk out like the door and walk right up to the, to the light rail and you're in the middle of everything. 340 venues on the light rail.
Right off of University.
You know, it's really not a light rail. It's like a streetcar, but you know, we call it a light rail because there's a little machine thing, light rail right down there. But it's streetcar, light rail, you know what we're talking about. Anyways, then we've got a beautiful house coming up next week. I can't wait to show you. It's in Armory Park. It's a 4-bedroom, 3-bath, done to the nines for $500,000, and it's gorgeous. It's all— it's like 2,700, 2,800 square feet.
Wow, beautiful house, great backyard, beautiful walls. Fantastic.
That's that way behind us, and, uh, you can walk to these houses. I mean, that's beautiful, fantastic. And then we've got 2 coming up that are, um, new construction. They haven't been built yet, and so kind of a secret right now. They're going to be in the $325,000 range, and the phenomenal thing about them is they're really close to the Mercado and the light rail. So we're very excited about these, uh, two new properties we have. If you want information on any of these houses we're talking about, these secret houses, um, how do they get a hold of us? Oh, they call—
give us a call, 520-631-8632. 8669.
That's perfecto. And visit our website at ctucsonhomes.com. And I think I've covered everything we want to cover today. This is a great holiday season down here. It's beautiful. Parade of Lights, all the fun that's going to be happening. We're going to keep you updated on Saturdays, of course.
