Dog Events and Things Their People Can Do Too! Tucson Real Estate Update with Darren and Tony Ray

In this informal livestream, REALTOR® Tony Ray Baker hosts a Saturday update joined by fellow agent Darren Jones, marketing specialist Dawn Vanderveer, and a dog named Vegas. The conversation covers several themes: (1) a snapshot of the current Tucson real‑estate market, emphasizing a strong seller’s market for homes under $300‑$500k and the need for strategic pricing, buyer pre‑qualification, and negotiation tactics; (2) promotion of newly listed properties in Green Valley, Foothills, Rancho Saurita, and the I‑10 corridor, with links to c2sunhomes.com. (3) Marketing tactics for agents, including custom promotional products (bandanas, koozies, reflective dog‑leash covers, collapsible water bowls, etc.), low‑cost direct‑mail campaigns (as low as 18¢ per piece), and branding opportunities. (4) A roundup of upcoming pet‑friendly and community events in Tucson—St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Arizona Beer House, K9 Walk for Cops, Griffin Gallop Challenge/Muddy Mutt Race, Trail Dog Days, various farmers markets, art fairs, book festival, and historic reenactments—highlighting how agents can engage with these events to connect with clients. (5) Calls to action for viewers to like, share, and follow the team’s Facebook page, visit their updated websites (c2sunhomes.com, c2solarhomes.com), and contact the agents. The tone is conversational, enthusiastic, and promotional, with frequent humor and dog‑related banter.

Hello, happy Saturday! I'm Tony Ray Baker, and today— and who are you?
I'm Darren Jones.
This is Darren Jones. He's been missing for a while. Darren Jones. Yeah, where have you been?
Where have I been?
Every time you're always out showing property.
Gotta work.
It's a good thing we have to keep— this is how we keep them out of trouble. We just keep them showing property, right?
You buy houses, something like that.
Yeah, and we're really excited because we have Dawn Vanderveer here with us today.
Hey, thanks for having me!
And this is Vegas.
Hi, Vegas!
Wait, I gotta bring it. Oh, that's not fair, Vegas. Look at mine.
Mine's better.
Vegas is here because Don's gonna talk with us about some really cool stuff about puppy dog events coming up and places that you can take your dogs because this is a really dog-friendly city. As we know, we have dogs and all of— a lot of our clients have dogs. And so we thought this would be a great place to get some information for some puppy stuff coming up, right? So we're very happy. Yeah, like, like, like. If you haven't figured out, I got my little emoji things. Nice. I found my toys.
Okay, cool.
So speaking of If you like us on our page that you're on right now, well, on the, the Sea Tucson Real Estate, it's facebook.com/SeaTucsonRealEstate. If you like us there, you can talk to us while we're filming and we can answer questions, or you can harass us, which is really fun, right? Or harass him because he's missing all the time.
What are you gonna do?
So like us, and we ask that you too share this, please, because if you share it, other people will hear all these fun events and things that are going on, and we really want to support our puppies, and there's some really fun stuff Coming up for puppies!
Yeah, we have a lot to talk about today.
Vegas is all excited!
She's like, "Tony Ray step aside, the spokesmodel is in charge!" Here this is Vegas—
yay Vegas! I brought that one from Vegas. Okay so um, like and share us and then remember as we go through today anything we talked about or events is on seetucsonhomes.com where there's things to do calendar it's a black bar at the top you click on things to do, and there's a full calendar of events. And I believe there's like 5 or 6,000 events in there, but typically on a normal day in Tucson, we're— we show about 10 to 15 events, right? So go there. Anything we do talk about for these cool events this weekend and next are going to be on that calendar. We're also going to post on seetucsonhomes.com anything she talks about. We'll be posting it on this so you can see at the bottom of this thread later. We'll post it there so you can follow the events because she has a cool website that actually talks about doggy stuff going on. It's all right. Yeah, so it's a Vegas day. Vegas like Las Vegas. Let's say hi to Tina at Tierra Antigua and Kenny Parker. Tina and Kenny Parker, yay! Tina, so both REALTOR® and we, we love our REALTOR® friends and, uh, we're always happy. We should have, uh, you guys pop down and say hi to us live, right? Kenny Parker. Kenny Parker and I started working together, um, in 1994. We shared an office. That crazy? Might have been '95. I mean, it was '95, right, Kenny? Because that took me a while to even get an office. Don't answer. Yeah, yeah.
Makes you feel old.
It makes me feel very old. 23 years, dude, in the business, right?
Yeah.
Awesome. Let's talk about some cool houses. You have some— we have— so we listed a couple. We listed like 5 houses on Friday, and 2 of them went on the market and immediately came back down. I mean, 3 to 5 offers.
Yeah, I mean, things are selling so fast. The market is really brisk in Tucson. And so under what price?
Under $2,000,000, $2,250,000.
It's crazy.
Right? It's a total, absolutely insane, total seller's market under $250,000. Even up to close to $500,000, it's still getting busier and busier. And if you go above $500,000, then we enter into a buyer's— a seller's market— no, buyer's market, because it's more in control that way, right? Right. So right now we're in a major seller's market under probably $300,000.
That's right.
But we have, we have some great properties. You can see them on the site, c2sunhomes.com. We've got a great property that's down in Green Valley It's a beautiful home, fantastic views with a guest house. We have a Foothills home. Hi, Vegas!
Vegas likes the Foothills home with the guest house. Very good.
We have a Foothills home for $399,000. It's fantastic, amazing views. We have a done in Saurita, Rancho Saurita, beautiful, beautiful new home on— well, not new, but it's got new carpeting, newly painted, big backyard, and all of the amenities that come with living in Rancho Saurita.
So that's a area as well.
And then up in Morana, just off the I-10 corridor, with access to all of the services and shopping and everything that is along that I-10 corridor from, um, what is this street? Uh, we're at Orange Grove and Tangerine. So anyway, Morana, up Toro Valley. Yes, Morana. So anyway, this is everywhere. It's great access. So there's, there's homes available pretty much everywhere, um, and we're excited to look at them.
Yeah. —And we'll post those, those houses are of course at c2sonhomes.com and we can post those on the thread, on the Facebook thread below the house. Cortero. Cortero Farms Road. Cortero Farms, yes. Then we'll post those so you can see them as well. So I want to talk a little bit about this though because it is imperative that you understand if you're under that $300,000 range, we are in a seller's market. Sellers can't price up too much, so they, they can price at the top level of the curve but they can't price up too high because they still have to appraise because most of the houses are going to sell with a loan. So if they have to appraise, the appraisers are not going to give them excessive amounts. So I want all buyers to understand that you're still going to get a house at the right value because the appraiser has to substantiate the value when you have a loan. Also, if you're paying cash, you can always have an appraisal in your contract that is contingent on that sale, right? So the reason I'm saying all this is because there is some strategy right now that needs to take place if you're in these kind of markets, and And one of the things, for example, we noticed is on Friday we had 3 offers on a house we listed within 6 hours. And so one of the real estate agents called and asked you a funny question, which was, "What's the lowest price your seller will take?" And— I didn't respond. And it's very important to understand that there's no lowest price in that market, right? Yeah. Now is the time to talk about what's the win-win to create for that seller, because you want them to look at The offers coming in, you want them to look at your offer and you want them to take yours. And it's not always about price because one of our clients took an offer that was lower in price but gave them better terms. And it was helpful to the seller in the long run after the closing. So it's all about understanding how to negotiate and present that right offer. You can win, you can get that house. It's just a matter of having the right agent negotiating on your side. It's really what it's all about. Okay, these guys, wait, like, like, like Wait, oh no, that was a key to success. Oh, we're sorry, that's a key to success of buying a house. Be prepared right now as a buyer. You need to have your pre-qualification done. It needs to be with a top loan officer in town who's local, has a local underwriter and a local appraiser. It has to be. It's— I don't recommend right now credit unions and banks because these other agents who are representing those sellers are going to want to see the best loan officers, underwriters, and appraisers involved, and they're going you're going to be counseling the seller on these issues, right? Have your house in order. Have your house in order. That prequalification should show that you did every bit of homework that that lender required. All of your documentation is in. We analyze this every time. And so that's why we're telling you now that it's important to do your homework all up front. You can be successful. There are ways to negotiate and get that house. We are— we've had every one of our buyers has gotten the house they wanted against others. It's just about negotiating and doing things right. So If you just make sure, you know, get it all done up front. That's my— for the day, right? My brain's fight. My key to success. That was— you're supposed to hold that up. Success. Yeah, and then you're supposed to go like this, like, like, like, like, like. We're still— we're going to fumble back in with the emojis.
There you go.
Are these called emojis or emoji cons? Um, I'm not young enough.
We have to ask a young person.
We're going to say— yeah, Aisha. Hi, Aisha. Vegas, Vegas.
Somebody Google it. Somebody Google Google it, let us know.
Yeah, somebody— is it an Emojicon? Because that's what I think it's called. Emoticon. Emoticon. Emoticon.
Or an emoji. Emoji. You're just trying to—
it has two names. It has two names. The new name is Emojicon.
That's a contraction.
It's a Tony Ray Baker— it's a Tony Ray Baker— I mean, we love that. Um, let's talk about puppies, right?
Let's talk about puppies because apparently according to Vegas, it's positively important to get a puppy when you're doing that transit. Positively important.
To have the right team on your side, right? I totally love it. Um, I think, yeah, so let's, uh, let's say goodbye. Uh, oh, we lost her treat there. Let's let Aisha take Vegas, and then that way you can wait. We have to show— so, so we're going to talk a little bit with Dawn, but this is, uh, this is the parting gift. It's her new outfit, the patriotic little t-shirt.
Oh, I'm sorry, I can see all the little stars.
Oh my God, the stars are made out of bars. I don't know if you can see them right there, but the stars are paws and it's patriotic. This is your new little outfit. Did you film any? It could be a cape. That's right. Ryan Jack says he's still in bed. Who is it? Ryan Jack. Ryan? Hi, Ryan. Still in bed? Is that what you said? Nice. Get up. Get some coffee. It's time. It's a beautiful day in Tucson. We're rocking and rolling, right? That's right. We are ready. So let's talk about a couple things. One, We work with Dawn on all of our marketing and advertising stuff, and that is that— yeah, thank you. Dawn does any— like, if you can find it and you want your name on it, you can probably have her do it. I tried to get him engraved once. She said no, so I'm like, don't—
you can't take it too far.
But you can pretty much do anything, right?
You can find almost— absolutely anything that someone needs to have their logo on it to represent their brand, or if you're doing a team for one of these awesome upcoming pet-friendly events, we can do it. So bandanas, a whole theme of pet-related promo.
Well, and it could be not even business owners, but it could be somebody who wants to put something together for a kid's soccer team or stuff like that, right? Yes. You have catalogs. Catalogs. Of really fun stuff. Catalogs of millions of items.
So if you can print on it, we can put your logo and team name on it.
Yes, she agrees. And you've even done research for for us where we were in Europe, we were in Italy, and we found a really cool product in Italy that we thought was really nice. It did not have logo and stuff on it. We came back and brought you one, and you researched it, and you found a way to get us the product and get our names on it, and then we were able to give them out as gifts, and it was really fun and unique. Yeah, thank you.
It's a great idea, and then you also mailed them in cards, so they were fantastic, and then people have been using them, and they've got a long shelf life. This was like 3 years ago, and people are still using them.
People are still using them, they're great.
So that was another really cool thing is that it was an item that we could put into the mail, and I wanna go on to the mail stuff too, but we were able to mail it out, so it was very inexpensive, but really useful. It's a little wine stopper, drip stop.
They're called drop stops. Drop stops.
Drop stops. And then you put it in the wine bottle, and it doesn't let red wine hit that white tablecloth, and in Italy, every table had these on them, which is really neat. And so you did a full-color, beautiful display with our website and stuff on it. We were able to give those out, and they're very fun. I can mail them anytime I want. So if you want one, call me or send us an email and we can send you one.
Yeah? Uh-oh.
Tina gave us a live share, which is the best thing she could do. Alright, Tina, thank you for the live share. Hey Kenny Parker, she gave us a live share. Kenny Parker. Kenny Parker. Ryan, give us a live share. So let's talk about the mail because this is another key component. So a lot of times we might have a product or something like like let's say we have a koozie and it has our name on it and we want to mail it into a neighborhood. You are, as far as I know, there's no one with more knowledge as on the mail stuff and marketing. So if you have stuff you want to mail into a neighborhood, you're able to get like that koozie into people's mailboxes for very low price. Like lower than I could do a first-class stamp.
Absolutely, yeah, because we were doing the Every Door Direct Mail program on that. And so that was just point blank 7, 8 cents each in postage. So yes, I am the postage queen.
18 cents. Yes. So she's able to mail koozies into the neighborhood at 18 cents. Isn't that crazy? It is free. Plus the cost of the koozie and the printing, of course.
And the printing, that's right. And the envelopes in which to mail them. You can't just put a label on a koozie.
But the postage is what, 49 cents for a stamp?
49 cents for a first-class stamp, yes.
So I can mail you something for 49 cents, or she can mail you something that's fun to play with for 18 cents. Absolutely, like these even reflective dog leashes. Yeah, this, so this is pretty cool. So this goes, you, you get this made like this?
Yep, so this is how it works. It is a reflective dog leash cover. This is a large one and you can put it in an envelope and mail it. But the great thing about this is safety. You know, we're all concerned dawn and dusk when we go out. We want to be fine. Sometimes you just have to use that word.
That's positively fabulous. Oh, buddy. Okay, I'm gonna release you from this.
Oh no, no, we are on Pong Central now.
Go ahead.
Oh wait, it gets a smiley. Oh, get a smiley. Great. And we've got that fun fact too, that if you are dressed in all black and have just a thumb-sized reflective piece on you, you are more visible at a greater distance than if you're wearing all light. So that's why I love these things, because they're great for safety. You got your brand over here, they just slip over the leash cover. Um, but yeah, and so got your brand on here, helping protect those nightly and morning walks.
I'm thinking this could be, um, also used for other things, because if you are out with the puppy and you have this, you could also probably put that on backpack straps on your back. So I'm thinking 2 of these, one on each side of a backpack strap, so you would be visible from behind. I'm thinking this would go on cyclist stuff. I'm thinking if you, if you want a great promo product to give away, this might be really awesome. Yeah, because it's something that would save their life.
Yeah, you know, yeah, that's awesome.
Not even just for leashes, this would really go far on a lot of fun things, right?
Yeah, for kids especially, like make a around Halloween. I mean, we have summer coming up and Halloween seems a far way out there, but think about Halloween.
Whoa, the straps, the straps on bags. If they, if they had a— if that's a strap that would be able to be released that they could put on there, that's awesome. But tell me, I want to know what this is.
So this is— these are all the rage.
These are all the rage. All the rage.
Can't keep this in stock.
I know what it is. Oh good.
What is it? All right, we're going to do a guess.
It's a hat. What? It's— yes, it's a diva. Who get good or something? Whip it good. Whip it good. Oh, we have a leash. Oh, diva. Whip it good. That's too much. Okay, it's a water bowl.
Absolutely. Yes. Out of control here.
I had too much confidence.
It's a water bowl. It's a glassable water bowl. I love these collapsible water bowls. So yep, collapsible, easy to wash out, easy, lightweight to take with you. Vegas, Vegas, Vegas!
Oh, I want some! She wants some! That gets a thumbs up from Vegas. It gets a like. Vegas says nice. I think this is really great because Vegas should get a treat for that.
If you have a water bottle or whatever, you can just pour a little bit in there because they don't really want to drink a lot of water at one time.
Right.
And it's a great size.
Right.
Yeah, it's a good size.
I have one that's quite large.
This is awesome. And then if we want to play with— if we want to go out in Vegas and play frisbee, you make these. I love these.
Yeah, these are the C-ring flyers.
And then of course we have Vegas t-shirts that you can wear.
That's right.
Bucking Paw t-shirts. And then these bandanas. This is a great product. You get a lot of, uh, if you're a business person—
these are really good.
They look good on you. Um, yeah.
Nice. And this also has reflective ink on the side.
And it goes with my shirt. Look at this. The cool thing about this though is look at the amount of advertising space you have. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's really great.
And this is a large size. They do come in— I apologize, Vegas— it does come in a Vegas size. I did not bring the Vegas size.
I can do this though, like, um, I can do— no, that's not going to work.
I can do this way.
No, no. Okay. Nice, nice socks. Okay. Maybe we could put that as a coffee business. We could do the Olivia Newton-John and tie it around, and I could get Tony Ray Baker rules.
Are you gonna break into physical and start doing aerobics? Maybe. Maybe.
That would be exercise. It doesn't sound fun. All right, so we, um, you can make all these awesome things. Yes. And you can probably mail most of them into neighborhoods for free. Inexpensively, and people can take these and use them in, uh, in the great events and have fun. So this is just— we wanted to make sure everybody knows about you. We are going to post the information. It's done. Your company is called Prototype. Yeah. And, uh, there's a phone number on the front there.
I'm sorry, this is the front.
That's the front.
So you're gonna pause the video after, and then you'll have all this information, but we'll also put it on there. That's pretty cool.
Promotional products for pets and their people. Oh, and their people.
That's true.
We are here to serve.
That is very true. So on that, so let's talk about some events. Can you tell us some fun things coming up for puppies?
Yes, absolutely. And this is— it's great that we're doing this this weekend because starting next weekend, it's pet-friendly events just kick off and explode. And it starts with St. Patrick's Day, and it's on a Friday this year.
So Arizona Beer House Um, your mic's a bit hot.
You mind if I unplug this really fast? Oh, then we'll go with the phone mic.
Oh yeah, that's fine. Yeah, sorry about that. No, that's okay. So we have a mic funny. Yeah, nice. And, uh, okay, are we back? Yes. All right, so does that sound better? Yeah. Okay, now he gets closer and that's when I go, ah. Yeah, so you go ahead and talk.
Oh, I get to talk, great.
Okay, no, we're good. You're gonna project that way now because the mic's coming there.
The mic's there, okay. So Arizona Beer House, this coming Friday, so St. Patrick's Day, from noon to midnight, and it is St. Patrick's Day celebration, pet and family friendly. Proceeds go to the Tucson Celtic Festival and Highland Games. So if any of you are familiar with that event in the fall, great way to raise funds to make sure that event always continues. Did you say Arizona Beer House? Arizona Beer House, which is—
so Vegas barked when you said Beer House. So either Vegas likes beer or the event. We're not sure, but Vegas is giving us a like approval on that event. Yes, thanks Vegas! Way to go!
And then on— oh, there she is. Yes, she has to get rewarded. Little snack break for Vegas. Then we have Saturday, K9 Walk for Cops. This is one of my, personally one of my favorite events. And actually this year we were excited because we got to be, pepperleafun.com got to be one of the bandana sponsors. And Prototypes is actually the vendor of choice for the bandanas, so we're super excited. But it's one of my favorite events. I've been going to since almost the beginning. Really great. It's at Brandy Fenton Memorial Park. They have K9 demonstrations. Plenty of vendors. They have a doggy look-alike contest. Wow! Tony Ray Baker and Healy should go. Aww, I don't look like—
no. Best friends.
They have all sorts of— it's a really short walk too, so if your dogs aren't ready for that, you know, 3-mile event, it's a really great way to have them build up their stamina for the rest of the walk season. It's at Brandy Fetten Memorial Park, Tucson Frees Foundation. It's an awesome event. And then going on also that day in Reid Park is the MS Foundation, their annual walk, and that one is pet friendly. So you're gonna have more people, fewer dogs. So if you have dogs that are a little skittish of other dogs, that may— but is good with people, that's a good one to start and check out. And then Sunday, super fun day, you can start out at Greenfield's Country Day School up in on the northwest side of town. They have— I'm gonna have to peek because they changed the name of their event this year. Okay, so it is the Griffin Gallop Challenge and Muddy Mutt Race.
Nice.
They went from a dog jog to this obstacle course mud race. So you've got the humans going through it, and then you can take your dog through this muddy obstacle course. It's gonna be super fun. And then as long as you, you know, put towels down in your vehicle, you should put your muddy dog in there, and then bring them back downtown to Barrio Brewery because they are having their annual Tails and Ales. Are we gonna get another shout out for them here?
Nope, nothing happened. Angus might be busy with that right now. Yeah, so the Tails and Ales might be a favorite, but we won't know.
We won't know, yes. So it's a dog wash and it's a fundraiser for the Humane Society of Southern Arizona and the Tucson Roller Derby. Derby. So just a great event. It was so successful and fun last year, they did one in the spring and in the fall. Wow. So this is going to be their spring event. Um, so that takes you up, and then flash forward a couple weekends to March 26th, and we have at Trail— you guys have been to Trail Across Town, right?
Yeah.
Oh yeah, they have Trail Dog Days. So there's going to be lots of microbreweries, lots of adoptable animals, lots of fun things.
Sweet. Adorable. Trail Dog Days sounds awesome.
It's a lot of fun, super pet friendly. And then April 1st, just to give that one a shout out because we might not be back until— right, but, um, but Nami Walks is at JFK Park on the southwest side. And so that's really super fun event and pet friendly.
Cool, nice. So we are going to actually, uh, now that you brought that up, we're going to segue right over to that, that we're, we're We're going to have you come back every month.
Do you like my shameless segue into, "We're coming back!" We're coming back!
Because pets are our friends and they are our family, so I think it's really awesome. Darrin and I think we need to have this for you every week— or month. And so you're going to come out monthly and we'll have Dawn here to tell you what's coming the month ahead of time so we can share our friendly stuff. Do you have that one? Cover the fur babies. We want you to be very aware that this is, um, I want you to bring bags, be respectful, bring these little potty bags for your dogs because I have seen this lately and people are being a little rude in the parks and stuff and nobody wants to deal with that. So if you have a dog, please bring your little—
you probably have those for everybody.
She even has a little doggy thing you can have made up to give out to all of your friends and clients if you want. With your name on it. And let's be respectful to our neighborhoods and planets and parks and everything, right? I say planets like I live on Mars or something, but I don't live on Mars. We have those biodegradable ones. So, Darren, we have some things going on today. And by the way, the weather today is gonna be like 85 today and tomorrow, 2 days in a row, and sunny. The sky is bright blue. It's getting It's so boring. It's winter, so blue skies and sun. And then we want to— so today going on at the U of A is the Tucson Festival of Books. It's a big event out there, and it's from 9:30 to 5:30. And I want to give a shout out to Cricket Roman, who is— I love Cricket. Cricket was a children's author Tony Ray Baker and did many books for children's books and a client of ours and a friend of ours and we worked with her for many, many years. She's now writing romantic mysteries and she'll be out doing book signing today over at, I believe it's today and tomorrow, over at the U of A Book Festival, which is really, really neat. And then just want to give you a couple of things that are going on this weekend. The Renaissance Festival is going on, Sabino Canyon Tram rides and hiking is a really nice time because the weather's cool in the morning and there's water running really well right now from this melting snow on Mount Lemmon, right? Yep, it's a great time of year to do that. Today is Second Saturday in Downtown Tucson starting at 2 o'clock. It goes till whenever and it's crazy fun down in Downtown Tucson. The evening would be amazing tonight because it'll probably be 75 degrees.
And if you have not tried the Second Saturday Downtown Downtown, treat yourself, come down, check it out, see what it's all about.
Yeah, this is a great weekend for that. The two largest farmers markets are this weekend from 8 to 1, St. Phillips and the Rieto Race. Uh, St. Phillips I believe is Saturday and Sunday, and then Rieto Racetrack is Sunday. Those are the big farmers markets. I personally love St. Phillips because it's very charming, romantic area. I like that the whole— there's a neat thing about that plaza, right? Yeah. Um, and then San Javier Mission is got the, uh, Wauke Pow Wow is going on out there, and that's North American, uh, arts and Native American, sorry, arts and crafts and food and dancing, and that's very fun, um, event going on as well. So there's no way that you can be bored this weekend. There's a lot going on, and there's more. So go to seatusanhomes.com and click on things to do because we have lots more events that I'm not even covering. What is going on next weekend, Mr. D?
Next weekend we're gonna have on the 18th is Saturday. Yes, let's go with that. Saturday. But anyway, it's the Tucson Museum of Art Spring Artisans Market. This happens to be one of my favorite artisan markets around the area. They have great vendors, they have great food, it's a beautiful, beautiful layout. There are several sections and different levels The artisans there, I just, just seem to be really nice stuff. Hmm. So art, glass, pottery, whatever you like, go out and check that out. That's at the Museum of Art next Saturday. Also, the Farm-to-Table special dinner event, it's gonna be March 18th from 5:00 to 11:30. This is also going to be on the website, and the proceeds are benefiting the Community Food Bank. There's cocktails cocktails, music, food, dancing.
So that's kind of, uh, Janos Wildler from Downtown Kitchen is part of that event, which should be quite amazing.
Yeah, and there's also a silent auction, which usually is really a good silent auction. So check that out, support the local food banks. You know, a lot of people just like to support the food banks at Christmas time, and that's great, okay, but people have to eat all year. It's one of those Thanks. Um, also, uh, next weekend is the Tucson Conquistadors Golf Classic at the Omni Tucson National Army. Thanks. You got it. Okay, yeah, that's, that's all.
That's all. Just say golf.
It's golf. It's up north.
It's gonna be a beautiful— it'll be 91 degrees at around 2, and they're predicting 91, so it's gonna be a little warm. Uh, Vegas doesn't apparently like golf.
That's, that's This is usually like a televised event. It's a big deal. Yeah, it is a big deal.
It's March 15th through the 19th.
It's like going up to the days. Get your tickets, go up there, find a tent, hang out, have a good time, meet some famous golfers.
And then something historical is going on in the Peak of Picacho.
Picacho Peak is— they are reenacting the Civil War in the Southwest. Okay, now figure this out. Okay, the Civil War started in 1861, and Tucson didn't become— I mean, Arizona didn't even become a state until, what, 1912? 1912. Yeah, we just, just over 100 years old. So we weren't even a state yet, but they were fighting the Civil War here in the Western Territories, and they're going to be reenacting that up at Picacho Peak. That happened near Picacho Peak. Yeah, so all All of you historians out there that have been out to Gettysburg and those areas out on the East Coast, you know, something fun for you to do as well.
