Flying Emojis, House for Sale in Catalina Foothills, Fun for the Weekend, Bonsai and Kinetic Art

In this on‑location, conversational YouTube video, real‑estate agents Tony Ray Baker and Darren Jones walk through Tucson’s 4th Avenue Street Fair, promoting a variety of local weekend events while also showcasing a Catalina Foothills home (the Longfellow property). They highlight the Coronet restaurant, the Crush Gala fundraiser for the Tucson Museum of Art, the Southern Arizona Architects’ Inspiration Week home tour, the Park Place Mall Chalk Festival, the Tucson Edition Food Fest at Desert Diamond Casinos, the Konnichiwa anime convention, the upcoming Renaissance Festival, the Museum of Kinetic Art (Matt Bevel’s), and the Tucson Bonsai Society’s 45th exhibition. Throughout, they plug their website seetucsonhomes.com (also referenced as c2sonhomes.com) for a “things to do” calendar and for exclusive real‑estate listings, especially upcoming homes under $300,000 and the Longfellow house with an Arizona‑style room, hot tub, and mountain views. They encourage viewers to attend events, contact them at two phone numbers, follow their Facebook page, and share the video to promote Tucson as a vibrant place to live and visit.

Happy Saturday!
Happy Saturday!
Guess what today is? Saturday. 4th Avenue Street Fair Spring Day.
That's right! How did you know that?
I love today because it's what, 75 today for the— so it's like 75 degrees today and the 4th Avenue Street Fair, the Spring Edition, is out. We're very excited. So that's both days today and tomorrow. So we're down on 4th Avenue right now and we're right in front of one of our favorite restaurants. His favorite restaurant. It's called what?
This is the Coronet. It's at the Coronado Hotel. If you want a little touch of Europe, come spend a couple of hours over there. Shout out to— hi Sally, she's the owner over there. And fantastic.
That's Armando. Armando's with us right now. Say hi, Armando. Hi, how are you?
Thank you, strange passerby. Anyway, yeah, the Coronet, it's a great little place for lunch or dinner. It's a great first date.
Yeah, so come check it out. It does feel like you're— and I'm gonna stay close to you because my mic works and you don't get one. Um, but the, uh, Kornet does feel like you're in, um, Europe somewhere. Yeah, when you're sitting inside the little tents there and all the little plants, it's just really nice.
The food is amazing, the service is top-notch. It's a really great, great space eating outside. Fantastic space, we love it.
Yeah, it's perfect for the next few months, especially at night. It's going to be gorgeous, right?
That's right.
Yeah, we're in spring. Hey Tom, thanks, thanks. Can you hear Darren, Tom? Can you hear Darren? Can you hear me? Can you hear me now? All right, how about now? So Hey, let's walk over there with the light rails running— no, sorry, streetcar is running by right now. Let's walk and talk. Um, let's go that way.
We're gonna go visit the street fair.
Follow me. So, um, Darren, you're way over there. You're putting on my sunglasses. There you go. Yeah, I'm gonna— it's getting warm and bright right there. Sun. Okay, um, let's talk about some fun things to do coming up today. I've got Crush Gala is going on. That's that, uh, fundraiser for the Tucson Museum of Art. And, um, I keep feeling like I need to talk to the phone, but I got this fancy, like, microphone so I can walk away. Yeah, not too far. Okay, not too far. I get all excited. Um, so we've got the Crush Gala going on. That's the fundraiser for the Tucson Museum of Art, and, uh, that's going on today. So I, I don't know if you can still get tickets. It's worth a try. It's an amazingly fun event. We've been there, right?
Yeah.
And What else is going on? Oh, Inspiration Week home tour is going on. And wait, I have a picture for that because this is really, really cool. Okay, ready? So you get to hold that. Hey, I got some fun stuff. Can you wait? Wait till you see all the fun stuff coming up. Okay. All right. Maybe I can find this picture for you, but this is Inspiration Week for the Southern Arizona Architects, and that's really cool. Can you pull that paper up for me so I can read it? Beautiful. Yeah. So next page. Technical difficulties, please stand by. So these are local architects and they've done recently completed work. So you might be able to see like room additions or guest houses or whatever they have that's on this tour. These local architects are all on the tour and it is, what I'm seeing is it's a $25 event. It's from 9 to 4 today and they're donating 20% of the proceeds to Habitat for Humanity, which is really cool. Is that nice? So remember you have to talk loud and towards me because I'm your mic. Wait, we'll do the ABBA thing.
Ready?
Mamma mia! No, you're going through. He tried, he tried, he tried. You're supposed to turn your head or something.
No, I did.
Okay, um, don't forget today's a beautiful day. You know what, I want to say go to Sabino Canyon and do the tram ride because it's going to be gorgeous. That'll be fun. How can you skip 4th Avenue Street Fair? This is only here this weekend, so, uh, street fair is the thing to be doing this weekend. That's my thought. And, um, and then you've got street fair during the game. Hey, you know what? The other thing is that the Konnichiwa—
Konnichiwa!
Konnichiwa! Is at the TCC today. And so, with that being down there, you could go to the anime convention and you could also come to the street fair and play, and then you could just also go anywhere downtown to all those great restaurants. It's a great day to be out. Yay! What is that one? Smiley!
Smiley!
Maybe two? That's awesome! Okay, let's talk about next week, what's coming up. The art festival is coming up over at the Park Mall. And let me show you this thing. I lost it. I don't know where it is. It's a picture of Frida. Frida. Yeah, do you have it?
Yeah.
Okay, we lost Frida. Oh, there's Frida. Okay, this is the chalk thing going on. It's the chalk festival going on over at Park Place Mall this week. What's our paper say? What date is that? The Park Place Mall chalk thing is really cool if you haven't been. It's amazing what they draw on these sidewalks all around the mall. Some of it looks like it's coming out in 3D at you.
Remember when we were over there.
It was amazing.
Yeah, it looks like you're going to fall down the stairs.
Yeah, it's kind of cra— it's, it's really crazy. Look at this art. It's drawn on chalk, but it looks like it's coming out at you. It's pretty, really wicked.
Pretty awesome.
That's, um, that's going on next week on April 1st from 10 to 5 over at Park Place. You have to stop by and see that. That's a really cool thing. It goes from 10 to 5, so you got all day. You go shopping there, and they got lots of restaurants at Park Place Mall. We have to do a shout out. That's a nice mall. They keep it— they do a nice job over there, right? Yeah. Um, uh, for food We've got the Tucson Edition Food Fest Farmers Market going, and it's a twilight market at the— yep, we get a food emoji coming in here right now.
Nice.
Armando, woo! That's at the Desert Diamond Casinos, and that is a twilight edition. It is from about 4 to 7:30, and they have food trucks and then produce and of course fun things to do with it. So look that up. Let's go backwards just a little bit. Of course, if you want anything— I mean, sorry, backwards not literally, figuratively. I'm gonna go back up here. Any of the stuff we're talking about on our website, right, is under things to do. So you go to seatusonhomes.com. Everything we're talking about is going to be— yeah, there you go.
There it is. Woohoo!
Key to success.
If you want to be successful, go to seatusonhomes.com.
And then when you get to seatusonhomes.com, there's a little black bar at the top, and on that menu bar it says things to do, and you click on it and there's about 6,000 events on that calendar. And we have a team of people who are putting those events up there for every week. So there's amazing stuff on there, and everything we talked about today is on that calendar. So isn't that easy?
That's awesome.
Nice. Okay, so go to seachasonhomes.com and you can check it out. All right, so the food fest is coming up. That's with the Desert Diamond Casino. Then there's the Father Greg—
Father Greg, don't call Father Greg on April 1st. He's busy. He's gonna be down in Sinaloa. I like it.
He's gonna be down in Sinaloa blessing the vineyards. Yeah, so there's—
you know how that goes.
The blessing of the vineyards could get crazy, but after Father Greg does his blessing, um, wine tasting, wine tours, don't call him taste testings. They do pairings. Yeah, so there's really fun stuff going on down in Sonoita. So if you want a little road trip away, I love pears. Yeah, go do pears. Kenny Parker just jumped on and gave us a like. Kenny Parker, thanks! A like storm! Kenny Parker rocks! Look, we have a like storm for you right now too. We have a like storm.
Watch this, Kenny Parker. Ready? This is the like storm. Yay!
That's a— thanks Kenny Parker! Yay! Like us on Facebook!
And so, Kinetic Saturday.
Okay, that's coming. Okay, I did not know about this until this morning.
Yeah.
Have you heard of it?
What? Absolutely.
Okay, not—
Matt Bevel's Museum of Kinetic Art. Matt Bevel.
Okay, Matt Bevel has a museum of kinetic art. We have not been there, so I am dying to go see this.
But I did watch the video. You did? I did.
It's apparently in the Sam Hughes neighborhood.
That's awesome.
Okay, so it's somewhere in the Sam Hughes neighborhood. It runs the first Saturday of every month through May. First Saturday every month through May.
So if you like kinetic art—
so tell me what that was. You saw the video?
Yeah, kinetic art.
I'm gonna show a picture while you're telling us.
Yeah, it's, it's— everything is made out of actual junk or recycled materials, and these are moving— there you go— art pieces.
Good job. Perfect. I'm talking towards my mic. He's talking over there. Come on, buddy, talk to me.
I have the only mic. Everyone Live TV.
Okay, so you saw smiling.
Yeah, you saw the strange person passing by. You saw the video, the kinetic art.
Yes, the junk, the— it's all junk, right, that they— what is it?
Well, it's, it's, it's really great. There's— he makes sculptures that have like perpetual motion, and so everything is moving and spinning and whirling and lighting up. And some of the stuff he can wear, so, you know, wearable art and things like that. So I think we need to go there sometime It's super fun.
We need to go there and maybe do a live shot out of there and just show people. And if you go, could you please, uh, tell us about it on this thread?
Because if you've ever seen the kinetic art machines like at airports and things like that where the balls come down and ding and bells and all that stuff and it just keeps going, keeps going. Yeah, I missed a flight in Atlanta.
Oh, I was watching. Let's talk about Longfellow.
Shiny sparkly.
Let's talk about this. Yeah, this is Longfellow.
Longfellow's a beautiful property.
Yeah, beautiful property. It's up in the base of the Catalina foothills. I believe the school district is District 16 on this one. I think it is. Darren put this one together. Hey, you know what? It's gotten to that point where sometimes I have to really read things to remember. Maybe it's called All Old Timers or something. I don't know.
Part-timers. Let me do one thing real fast.
Yeah. Am I— did my mic move?
No, I see the boot.
Okay, perfect. And then, so this is the kitchen dining room area, right? And why don't you talk about it, Darren?
This is a great house.
I like this open. Beautiful. Yeah, yeah, I like that. Tell them about that.
Okay, this is the back of a sheet of paper that Tony Ray Baker is showing you. That's really great. No, it has this huge, huge Arizona room, and the Arizona room has great views for the backyard and the mountains. Uh, This house is really, really fantastic. It's got all new carpet, it's been repainted, and yeah, it has a great pad in the backyard with a hot tub.
Show more of this Arizona room.
It's fantastic. Yeah, I like this house a lot. It's in a great area, it's up on Longfellow, which is right north of Skyline and Swan.
Yeah, it's in that area, so in the foothills. I think it's in District 16, so we'll check that if you want to know. This is the backyard.
This is the backyard. You can kind of see this is the outside of the Arizona room, and you You can see the giant pad and the hot tub in the backyard, some nice mature landscaping. Otherwise, it's really low care, has a little covered patio over on this side. Uh, yeah, it's a really fun house.
I think it would be great if we could get Armando to hold this house open. This would be a good open house.
I volunteer him for next week.
You like it?
You like it?
That's a key to success right there.
You like it? That's perfect. Next weekend.
This would be good. Yeah, I think we should get this one held open and then, um, get that thing up so everybody can see it. And then you can meet Armando and say hi to Armando too. That'd be fun, right?
Correct.
Hi, Armando. More fun than rats, Armando. Uh-oh.
Bring him all of your real estate questions.
Yes, just whatever you can think of, the most complicated. He is here to answer them. That'd be fun for Armando. I think we could have a blast. It's called Torture Armando Week next week. It's a new event.
He's a plebeian.
Nobody likes. He's a plebeian. Okay, so we also have a couple things coming up that you should book now. And then in 2 weeks, the April 8th and 9th is, uh, Bonsai— okay, that's gonna be a little loud for just a minute.
So it's gonna be really loud. So meanwhile, concentrate on the street fair behind us. Okay, oh, by the way, beginning—
yeah, let's walk up a little bit because this street fair right now is going on and it should be packed today and tomorrow with the temperatures the way they are. I plan on being out there tomorrow. I can't, I'm working all day today, but I plan on being at this street fair tomorrow, so you may see me there. As a matter of fact, if you're going, just call me and let's just go together. But see, if you really stop and just take notice, the, the crowd is just amazing all the way up. You can see it's just jam-packed with people already, so there's a lot of people at this street fair. So it's a very, very fun event. So we're really close to the train, but I think where it's better so it's not so, uh, loud. We're in the dark though. We're in the dark. Nice. Kind of like being in the dark.
It's a little cooler, huh?
Yeah, it's kind of It's only 69, 68 degrees over here. It's beautiful. There we go. Now we're in the land of the light.
There we go.
Okay, so, um, Darren, so the, the— tell us about this bonsai. Tell them what you do on—
near and dear to my heart.
Tell them about it. I'm going this way, you talk. Because I'm a nigga.
See how he does.
I got to take him off camera.
Come closer, come closer. Okay, so because I love bonsai and I'm part of the Tucson Bonsai Society, I want you to know about the 45th bonsai exhibition. It's gonna be on the 8th and the 9th. It's gonna be over at the Women's Center. Yeah, that's great. You can see more on it, www.tucsonbonsaisociety.org. Bonsaisociety.org, and also we'll have it up on the calendar for seetucsonhomes.com. But it's, it's great. You can learn more about bonsai if you're interested at all. You can have exhibitions. There are beautiful trees that are on display. Some of these members have been doing bonsai for over 50 years.
Wow.
So in fact, the Bonsai Society itself, I think, is 56 years old. Really? So anyway, it's a fantastic afternoon, and come out and see us.
So one of the cool things that they may not know is that you actually— Very nice. Yay!
Very nice.
That you actually go out with a geotagging system into the forest where they're going to be mining. Right? We call that the forest.
Well, we're actually permitted to go out and rescue trees. Right. These are old-growth trees that are out in the Rosemont Canyon where they will eventually be covered up with tons and tons of debris from the mining, but we're able to go out and rescue these trees, and a lot of them are suitable for bonsai. And so we get to create those, uh, so it's a great win-win. These trees get to be salvaged and saved and live on and be taken care of and pampered for the rest of their lives.
So yeah, yeah, so it's amazing though that you take— it's not a little tree, it's not a little bonsai tree growing in the forest.
Some of these trees are a couple hundred years old.
Wow.
Um, and they're like beautiful trees. There are a lot of junipers, alligator junipers and wemsee junipers. There's oaks, there are all kinds of trees that are out there that you don't necessarily get to see unless you're wandering out. You wouldn't even expect those to be in a Sonoran Desert, but yet there they are. And some of them are growing in rocky crags and things like that, and they've hung on for 100 years, and we don't want to see them like get covered up under tons of debris from a mining operation. So we're really fortunate to have gotten in.
Okay, we're good now. We're gonna go left because we're gonna run over by a light rail.
The light rail's coming.
I'm sorry, streetcar. In other cities, they're gonna all research the word light rail, and here we call it a streetcar. So it's interesting because it really is a streetcar, but other people—
modern—
think of it, it's a modern streetcar, but it's like a baby light. I think it should be called baby light rail. All right, so that's the Bonsai Society. Then the other— oh, by the way, So the thing, that Museum of Kinetic Art is MOCA, M-O-K-A, and you'll find that, of course, you can search that on seetucsonhomes.com. Now the other funny thing is, is there's MOCA, which is a Museum of Contemporary Art, which is M-O-K-C-A, right?
Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Kinetic Art.
And MOCA's gala is coming up, and that's an amazingly fun event, and it's the fundraiser for the Museum of Contemporary Art, and they are are getting beautiful recognition around the United States, and they've become a very important museum in the scheme of things. Yes, we want to keep supporting them. We will be at that event. It's one of my favorite events to go to. I just love it. Here's our little streetcar coming up and making its cute little bells. Okay, so if you want to find us, do we have anything else you want to chat about today?
I think everybody ought to come down and visit the street fair, and then tomorrow maybe go see the Camino Sabino Canyon.
And don't forget Renaissance Festival is also going on this weekend.
Still running. Gets bigger every year.
I'd be grabbing on to this weather because if you could do street fair today, Renaissance today, and one tomorrow, the weather's perfect. And next weekend the weather's supposed to be like 75, right? That's exactly perfect for weather. 75 or 78 degrees next weekend for weather. So I'd be taking advantage of getting outside, right?
Absolutely.
So do that, just do it, and call me and let me know what happened out there. We want to see it. Also, if you've been to the kinetic art thing, please tell us. I want to know about it. Yeah, I'd like to see some, like, people photos.
I know, I love this stuff.
All right, to find us, go to seetucsonhomes.com, and then of course, if you want to do the things to do calendar with the thousands of events, click on things to do. Also on Seaton Homes, we have every home for sale in the multiple Multiple Listing Service that is available for public consumption. We have all those. We have some other homes that aren't on that MLS, uh, on our site that are coming up that would be, um, coming soon, we'll call them.
So stay tuned, right?
And so if you want to know about coming soon homes, which is kind of important in the under $300,000 range because the multiple offers are flying. Very nice. Yeah, this is really a key to success if you're a buyer and you want to find the right house, it's important to get on our list now because as we know about them, we'll let you know before they even go public. Sellers, it works the same way because for a seller, a lot of times we're selling their houses now before we put them to market, so they don't even have showings, which means they don't have to make the bed every day, right? If you've ever sold a house, you know you have to get up, make the bed, clean everything, wipe down all the counters. Everything you do as to be cleaned up before you leave for work.
Who doesn't do that?
Right? So every day. So right. So anyways, I say it's a really great way to go. So get on our list, call us, and you can call me at 520-631-8669, or you can call me at 520-730-5203. And we'd love for you to like us and, uh, share us on Facebook. We really want to get these videos more viral so more and more people can see how fantastic Tucson, Arizona is. If we can get this to go all over the United States, that'd be really cool because Tucson is just making great waves of becoming— it already is, it's a beautiful city, but the fun stuff coming is just amazing. And wouldn't it be neat to share more and more of that with our tourists and people coming to move here and attract the right—
come see Tucson!
Yeah, and you have fun people who we're attracting. We want fun people to move to Tucson right now.
Okay.
That's the fun part. Okay, c2sonhomes.com. Facebook is facebook.com/c2sonrealestate, and give us a like, a share, a comment. We appreciate it, and happy Saturday. And there goes our little street party, right? All right, say bye, Armando. Say hi, hi, bye, Armando. Bye. No, you have to say bye, Armando. Bye, Armando. And we'll tell you about our— if Armando's having an open house next weekend, if we can get that all set up, then we'll let you know about that as well.
Very nice.
Right. And you're Darren Jones with Tierra Antigua Realty.
I am. I am.
And I am—
you're Tony Ray Baker with Tierra Antigua.
Same company. How weird.
Amazing coincidence. How funny.
All right, thanks guys. Have a really fun weekend outside. Thanks a lot, everyone. Bye.
