Live Tucson Real Estate Update with Darren and Tony Ray - Episode 8

In this informal livestream, Tucson realtor Tony Ray Baker (Tierra Antigua Realty) is joined by loan officer Tom Heath (Nova Home Loans) after the regular co‑host Darren is absent. The duo promotes a high‑end property – the Fenimore House – detailing its size, price, and luxury amenities, and provides a contact number for viewings. They then shift to a lively roundup of weekend events in Tucson, including Tucson Meet Yourself, Second Saturday, Wilbur & Wilma’s Playground, Glam Bash at the Fox, and the 26th Annual Great Steps in Bisbee, offering tips on transportation and family‑friendly activities. A brief pet‑care segment advises using pure pumpkin to soothe dogs’ upset stomachs. Tony also highlights a new Mark Zuckerberg virtual‑reality video, urging viewers to watch it on his Facebook page. The conversation wraps up with a community sports update about the local IceCats hockey scrimmage and upcoming Roadrunners season, followed by standard calls to like, share, and follow their social media and website for more listings and event calendars.

Hi, happy Saturday. I'm Tony Ray Baker.
And I'm Darren.
You're not Darren. You're Tom.
Darren today.
To be Tom today. This is Tom. Tom from Nova Home Loans. Hey Tom, thanks for dropping by today.
My pleasure.
Where's Darren?
Darren is out at a wonderful museum downtown. I think you're going to want to visit that next week.
Maybe. We may have to go check it out. So Darren's not here with us, so we get to play today. I like it. Woo! Okay, we're going to talk about some fun things. Somebody named Wilbur and Wilma.
Heard of them?
You know who they are? Nice. And then we're going to talk about entering a whole new dimension, which I'm very excited about on my techie thing. And shopping cocktails in a chick flick.
I can't wait for that.
Call Amy. And we're going to talk about an out-of-town event you've got to know about. So let's do right off the bat, let's talk about that we have a cool house for you to see. Can we, are we okay with that, James? We've got James in the background too. Everybody do a shout out to James. Hi, James. Hi, James. So we have the Fenimore House, which we want to talk about. The Fenimore House is worth over $1 million. Just the backyard alone is like $150,000. I know, it's right here. Fenimore House is, am I in the pool, James? Woo-hoo, I'm in the pool. Are you in the pool too? I didn't wear my swimsuit. I'm on a screenshot. You're on a screenshot. Nice. Nice. The Fenimore House is over 5,000 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 5 baths. It's over a million dollar home. And just the backyard that you're looking at now is about $150,000 backyard. It's got swimming pool, spa, beautiful private patios, and beautiful outdoor kitchen, and giant fire— see the fireplace? Is it here, James? I'm in the water again. I make— oh, I'm in the water again. So anyways, a giant fireplace. One to see. The price just came down to $949,000. So it's a great buy. If you have somebody that you know or you would like to see it, give us a call. My number is 520-631-8669. And we'll take you to see the Fenimore House. Oh, it's out east in this grove of mesquite. So it's got mountains and beautiful lush mesquite trees all around it. It's a beautiful setting.
Well, if you're a doctor, professional, give me a call 'cause we've got some great low down payment options in this one as well.
There you go.
Nice.
And Fenimore, so. Dennis says hi. Hi Dennis, Dennis in Seattle, yay! That's Dennis, you know Dennis? Have you met Dennis in Seattle? Dennis is in Seattle, he's gonna have to move here right away 'cause we say so. It's time. Come on, Dennis. The next thing we want to talk about is some fun things to do. This is a crazy, crazy weekend. We have Tucson Meet Yourself. Have you done that before?
I have Tucson Eat Yourself.
Meet or eat, whatever. Tucson Meet Yourself, I guess every chef has some sort of dishes and stuff, but they're all under $8 and that's the max, right?
Yeah.
So $8 for food.
We were out there last night, place was packed, tremendous food, tremendous energy, lots of entertainment.
Nice.
All weekend long.
And it's running all weekend long. So the super collision that's happening today is it's like when the moon and the sun collide, right? And the stars all get sucked into the vortex. I'm making this up because it's Second Saturday.
It is Second Saturday.
So Second Saturday and Tucson Meet Yourself all coming today, and it's— so streets will be packed. Here's my suggestion: Uber, taxi, Lyft, whatever you have to do. Don't try to drive into the city tonight. Light rail. Park at the Mercado or park at the U of A and light rail in. That's a good one. That's a good tip, right?
There you go.
Good job, Darren.
I'm Tom.
God, Tony. Okay, so that's going to be really fun. It's a crazy weekend downtown. This is the place to be tonight. Tomorrow, the Old Tucson events are going on with the—
Nightfall?
Oh yeah, that's the one. You know, I love Halloween. So this is a great thing to go see. There's a lot of fun stuff coming up. We'll talk about next week some scary things coming up like corn and mazes and stuff.
Corn sounds a little scary.
Yeah, what?
We're being eaten by a pumpkin right now.
Oh, we're being eaten by a pumpkin. Woo! It's not the first time that's happened.
Like this.
Pumpkin is really good for your dogs, by the way. If they have an upset stomach, it responds just like Imodium. It actually, a little bit, a couple tablespoons, if your puppy or dog, which we're dealing with one right now, needs some help, the pumpkin is great. Tony Ray Baker is not a veterinarian, but he plays one. I played with them on TV. So no, I just know that for a fact because I looked it up. I was like, oh my God, our little dog has a very upset stomach. We need to get him some Imodium. And I didn't want to give him drugs.
So that's great. That's not on the list.
That's not on that list. Yeah. It's a fun movie. OK. Anyways, not canned pumpkin that goes into fillings. It's got to be pure pumpkin. Thank you very much. OK, call me. We'll talk. What else are we talking about? Wilbur and Wilma, you said you know them.
Yeah, I think I was at their wedding.
Oh, okay, different Wilbur and Wilma. It's called Wilbur and Wilma's Playground. It's at the U of A, and it's supposed to be like this— this is, by the way, next week— and it's crazy fun, cool stuff, and it's on our calendar at seetucsonhomes.com, and you look up Wilbur and Wilma, and you'll see it on— I think it's next Saturday. But playground, all kinds of blow-up playground stuff for the kids. It's supposed to be really cool. So if you have kids, that's a good event for next weekend.
It's on the mall?
It's on the mall, that's what I heard, yeah. But for more information, go right to seetucsonhomes.com, things to do calendar, and just click on, what is that, the 15th? Next Saturday?
8 plus 7.
God, see? I don't know the new math. I only know my old math, by the way. Parents who are suffering through that crap. Also this next weekend coming up is called, there's something called Glam Bash at the Fox, and it's about shopping, cocktails, and chick flicks. So ladies might wanna check that out. It's on our calendar. I have no idea what that is.
Shopping.
Yeah, it's shopping. I know about the cocktail part. I could be found somewhere nearby. Anyways, and then next weekend is really cool because this, the 26th Annual Great Steps, the 1000s— have you done this thing?
Down in Bisbee? Yeah. No.
You walk up 1,000 or more steps or something. Why haven't I done it? You spend an hour and a half driving to Bisbee and then you walk up these steps and then if you don't pass out from lack of oxygen, you can have a beer and a cool sandwich at the Bisbee Grand or— oh no, the— what is that hotel? Anyways, one of those— Copper Queen. Yeah, you can go have some cool food.
I programmed it into my stair stepper though, and I could just do it at home.
Oh, you do the step— oh, because so he does the great 1,000 steps at his house next weekend while you're in Bisbee enjoying fresh air. So that's pretty cool. And what else do we have to talk about? I want to talk to you about my techie thing today. If you haven't seen this, Mark Zuckerberg released the new virtual reality video yesterday. Have you seen it?
I have not.
Have you seen it, James?
No, I haven't.
Okay, I posted it on Facebook.com/TonyRayBaker, so it's on my personal page, and you gotta go there and check it out. Watch it because it's totally unique. It's just a new dimension. Virtual reality in a different way. They show Mark and his wife and some other people, and they're moving into different locations, and they're playing games together, and they're all in virtual reality at the same time. So it's kind of one of those things you might have to watch a couple times to kind of wrap your mind about what's coming in technology. So it's very exciting. Anyways, I'll be joining you there. We'll be looking at houses someday. We'll just go, here, let's look in here on Mars. Sounds fun, right? And I think that's it for today. Did you have anything else you want to talk about?
Professional hockey.
Oh yeah, hockey starts.
Scrimmage starts tomorrow at noon at TCC. There's no admission cost. They're asking for donations to support the IceCats. And then the regular season kicks off, I believe, the 28th of October. So we've got the Roadrunners in town. Support them.
Very nice. All right, well, I think that concludes our day for today. And next week we're going to have something fun. We're going to do a field trip.
Woo!
Darren should be here to do the field trip. And we'll see you then. Thanks for stopping by. If you will please like us on this page Make sure you do that because then you can communicate with us and we can see your, uh, the stuff they say. Comments, maybe. Comments.
This is live.
Like and share, please. Yeah, it is live. Um, oh, you thought it was a live show? No, it's not a live show. Gotcha. No, we're gonna rewind, clip, edit, done. Yeah, you're actually gonna be Darren. We just used you for a body imposter right now. All right, say goodbye, Tom. I'm Tony Ray Baker with Tierra Antigua Realty.
I'm actually Tom Heath with Nova Home Loans.
He really is Tom. So have a great day. Thank you. Bye.
