I'm Derek Bambauer, and I teach at the University of Arizona, and I'm moving not because I dislike the university or Tucson, but because I'm changing jobs. I'm moving to the University of Florida, and so I am simultaneously excited and sad. And one of the parts that is, of course, difficult when you're doing this is I've lived in my house for 10 years. I love my house, and so I needed somebody's help to walk me through all of the logistics and mechanics and the difficult parts that perhaps I once knew but that had forgotten. And so I did my research, I talked to people, and I found Tony Ray Baker, and he has made this the easiest transaction I've ever been involved with. I think just that I was always amazed at Tucson is a small city, like it's one degree of separation, but the moment that you start to ask about real estate agents, his number comes up with shocking frequency. They're like, "I absolutely know who you have to call and talk to." And so perhaps once or twice that's coincidence, but after a while I thought, well, not only is he wonderful and has been wonderful to all of my friends, but he also completely free of charge sends me these wonderful quarterly updates that are, you know, beautiful card stock and have all this data and show the houses that he sold. And so you combine these things and I knew that I was dealing with somebody who was an expert. Fantastic. I mean, in fact, I think that when Tony Ray Baker and I first sat down and talked and got to know each other, one of the things that he did is he explained in general terms how the marketing works. But then he showed me a list of something he does for every client, the kind of like very comprehensive set of things online, offline, word of mouth, et cetera. And that gave me a great deal of confidence, even more so when my house was listed on a Friday and the first people who saw it made an offer. And so it was taken care of on the Monday of a holiday weekend. And so I actually felt a little bit bad, which is that Tony Ray Baker had invested all this time and energy, and it turns out that it sold in 48 hours. I think that the most important thing is that it's not just these professionals, that he does this all the time. And in medicine, there's this concept called the leapfrog concept, and it says if you're going to have something important done, you're going to have heart surgery or you're going to have a transplant, the most important thing that you can do is find somebody who's extraordinarily expert and who does it all the time. And Tony Ray Baker is one of the few agents in Tucson who does this every day and who's constantly busy. And so he has not just the experience, but frankly, the kind of mathematical acumen and the ability to do economic analysis. So he is absolutely on top of everything. He thinks of things that even sophisticated sellers don't. And so I think that the thing that I would say is he makes your life easy. I would refer Tony Ray Baker to everyone and anyone. I've already referred Tony Ray Baker, and in fact, I have referred his partner who assists buyers just based on having met him a few times. And pure association is the way that I've been telling people, is this is your one-stop shopping for home transactions and that they will be delighted. They will thank me in pretty quick order. Just that Tony Ray Baker is not just a great real estate agent. He's not just great analyzing markets, but he's just the nicest possible person, right? He's set up charitable organizations for up-and-coming artists in the Tucson area, and he gives people advice when they shouldn't sell a house. He tells them not to. He tells tells them better ways of how to do things. So it's just the important thing is that in addition to being a great professional, that he is, he is kind and he is generous and he genuinely has his client's best interests at heart.
