Hello everyone, and happy Sunday morning. For those of you that are listening as we drop the episode, which is appreciated for sure, you are listening to visible panty lines, transparent conversations of inspiration, encouragement and overcoming adversity. And so far, most of the guests have really, everyone's been from different backgrounds and everyone, everyone has a story. That's what I always like to say. But I really, I really wanted my next guest on the show because I met her at an event and I think more so than it being about her and her story, it's about this amazing work that she does that sort of like heals and helps so many other people. And I find it fascinating. Obviously, I have an attachment to gemstones myself. I created a bra line surrounding the idea of having a crystal gemstone in the center of it. But there are so many more aspects that go into it. So I'm here with Erin and if you follow her, she has. Aaron has like this amazing TikTok channel where I, I love like all of the content that you're doing on there. I think it's so interesting. Like every video I'm like, wow, like I learned something new. I find it so fascinating. You do really great job with that. You do really great, you know, topics all surrounding gemstone and energy. And I think what people are going to get from you is something different than everybody else is doing. Like, there are a lot of people that are crystal, quote, unquote, crystal experts or talk about crystals. And it definitely there's a whole aspect to the meanings of things and that sort of thing, but that is not what you do. So tell our audience a little bit. And your business is the rare gem soul collection. So I wanted to mention that. So, so tell us about, like what it is exactly that you do.
Yeah. And thank you so much for having me here tonight. I'm really excited. So, yeah. I am a gemstone energy medicine practitioner, intuitive and massage therapist. So I bring all three into my practice. Specifically, though the gemstone energy medicine, like you mentioned, is pretty rare. Very few people have heard of it. It's actually.
I think it's around 50 people total are probably certified in it. Wow. And I'm. And I'm one of the few on the northeast. In the northeast specifically. And gemstone energy medicine is all about using really high quality gemstones in the shape of spheres. We really like working with spheres. We believe it works really well with the human energy field specifically versus environmental energy. And we take those gemstones and we apply them specifically to the body and the energy field either over the chakras or applying them to acupoints or using them within the aura or I also use them on localized areas of the body that may be of concern for certain clients.
Okay. Yeah. So that's. That's so cool because there is a lot of kind of science, I guess you could say, behind the fact that crystals and gemstones have healing effects and there is energy built inside them naturally. I mean, I've seen things like videos of like, them lighting up when they're touching each other and all sorts of like, really cool stuff that exists out there. So I didn't even know that gemstone energy healing existed or energy medicine existed, but I did that myself. I had the worst headache. And there's a TikTok video of this, but I had the worst headache that wouldn't go away for like two weeks. And so looking back on it, I'm thinking it was probably Covid for the first time, which I just had Covid again. But I had the worst headache. And it was like Tylenol didn't touch it. Like, heating pad on my head didn't touch it. Like all this stuff I was trying, nothing was like, fixing my headache. I was like, oh, my God, come on. So I put one of my crystals, like on my head, literally laid there with it, and I was like, please heal me. Please make this headache go away. And of course, the headache ended up going away one day and just went away and like, wasn't there anymore. But it's so crazy to think, like, when, you know, you think of traditional medicine and like, that doesn't work. So, you know, what. What else is there that we can try? And crystals have been around for billion year, right? Like, I mean, how many years? Billion. Billion.
Yeah. So I think that it's so fascinating. So is there any, like, in your work through this, is there any example of like someone that was kind of miraculously, for lack of a better term, healed in your experience or what has been your, like, best experience with this?
So I've. The reason why I got into this was that I'm a very practical person. So it was the gems had to do more. I know that a lot of the time it feels nice, People are attracted to them. There's a feeling that they bring, which is great and everything, but for me personally, I want to see real world actual results because that is my personality. I've taken on a number of case studies in my work working with people who have certain chronic issues and. And there is no formal science about or research really that says that crystal energy or gemstone energy really works. There has been a lot of research that they, you know, they have a vibration, they have an energy. That's why they're used in a lot of technologies. So that. That research is definitely there. But I wanted to see for myself, is this real or is it not? Is this really worth me continuing down this career path? And so I started working with people, and I have had what I would consider really remarkable results. One of my more. I would consider my two most recent case studies really fascinating. One was I was working with a man who was dealing with severe chronic pain in his back, basically his L5, so the last vertebrae on your lumbar spine, where was crushing his sciatic nerve and causing a tremendous amount of pain. And he was severe enough to the point where he needed a implant. It's called a spinal stimulator. So this is something that stimulates. It's an implant that stimulates the nerves in the spine to try and manage pain. Unfortunately for him, he had been dealing with this for. Yeah, very difficult. He had been dealing with this for, I believe it was nine years. And so the stimulator is constantly going to try and manage this pain. And when I heard about this, I was like, would you be willing to just. I just want to see, like, if this can make any difference. So we started working together, and he came to the first session, and we were both really excited that when he got up, he was standing up straighter, because when you walked in, he was kind of hobbling in. Yeah, that's really great. And he felt like he had results. And he's a really interesting, funny guy. And he said to me, he's like, next time I come in here, I'm going to turn off my spinal stimulator. And I was like, you really don't need to do that. Like, it's okay. I was like, I hate for you to do that to yourself. And he's like, no, no, no, no. He's like, I feel like it's messing with the energy. And he came in the second time. He had turned off his spinal stimulator. And I remember him hobbling in, sat down in front of me. He was in so much pain. He was so sweating and mumbling his words. I felt terrible. I was like, are you really sure? I was like, are you sure you don't want to turn the smile simulator back on? And he's like, I left the remote at home. I can't turn it back on.
And I'm like, oh, my gosh.
So so we got on the table, we worked again. There was no. When I do my gemstone case studies, I do not bring in the massage element because I really just want to see how the gemstones alone are working.
And is there a particular gemstone that you picked for him, like, for this pain?
I will say every session with every client varies, though. There are.
So there's not.
Like, there are things that I will pick. Either I'm intuitively drawn to them, or I'll pick them because they have an affinity for that area of the body. So, for example, I do remember we worked a lot with amethyst, I believe, at that time, because amethyst has an affinity for the brain and nervous system. So that's one in particular that I remember when we first started working. So during that session, we did the session and he got up and again, he was standing straighter. He was not mumbling his words, he was not sweating profusely from pain. And it was just. It was so remarkable. And we kept working together for months. And what really struck me was that this is a person who said that for nine years they've had a spinal stimulator on 24, 7 in an effort to try and manage pain, which has not been done that well. And we were able to get to a point after working together for, I'd say about two months, that he would come in and he would forget to turn his spinal stimulator back on until about 8 or 9 o' clock at night. He would start to feel enough pain to be like, oh, I got to do something about this. Yeah. And we'd work together at like 10am that's significant for someone who has been in.
That's amazing.
Severe, debilitating chronic pain for that amount of time.
So that.
That was very fascinating to me. And then my mortgage is so amazing. Right. I was so happy to be able to help him through that.
And I feel like in other. Like, not to. Sorry to interrupt, because we definitely want to get to the other case study. But I feel like I always say, I'm always having these conversations with people about how here in America, being American, we are the only ones that don't incorporate. Yes, people get acupuncture and stuff like that. That's pretty common. But we are the only ones that don't incorporate Eastern medicine practices into Western medicine practices. If you're in Europe and you go to the hospital, the doctor might offer you acupuncture there. Like, how come in this country, you know, as sort of like evolved as we are with Trying trends and keeping up with the times. Like, how come these ancient sort of methods of healing aren't being incorporated into, you know, Western medicine? And I can answer my own question.
And it all boils down to pharmaceutical money and all that.
Sort of the loaded question, for sure.
Yes, that loaded question. I'm sure that is the answer to my question. But just the fact that, like, there is this, whether it's been studied or not, like, you are studying it, you have seen results from it. And these. It's something so simple as a crystal, and then a person that understands how to use them, working with it on you. And that is just another option besides popping a pill for a person that's in pain. So why not? You know, And I just feel like that is. You don't hear about anything like that. It always automatically is, oh, there's a pill for that. And especially with someone who has chronic pain, like, there's only such amount of time that they can take pills. You know, like, things don't work anymore. It's over after a certain amount of time. You have to take more of them. Like, it's a slippery slope. Not good at all. So chronic pain is really difficult. I actually, yeah, I'm working with a girl right now. She's my co editor for hello Giggles. And there's been a couple days where she's completely not been able to work because of this back pain. She has a fractured vertebrae from when she was a ballerina dancer. And yeah, so she's like, I, you know, sitting at the desk writing is, like, brutal for her. So she's like, I can't do it. And she ended up in the hospital overnight in urgent care, and then in the hospital overnight last week. So it's like you have all these people walking around with, like, you know, various problems. People with autoimmune disorders that have chronic pain. I mean, there's just so many, so many circumstances where this could be so useful and helpful for them. Now, I always tell people it's worth.
The try, you know?
Yeah, right. Like, it's worth a try. Right. But they need someone like you, let's be fair, right? Like, who understands. Like, I don't think. Can the average person go buy an amethyst and heal their body? You know, probably not. Like, I don't know. Right.
I would like, you know.
Yes.
But I think there are many factors that come into play with that.
Right. So, meaning, like, it's not just the gemstone that is has magical powers. It's also the person that's Working with the gemstone, understanding how to do that. Right. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Yeah, that's one part of it. There's also just. The industry in general can be a challenge in getting what. And this is unique, I would say, probably to gemstone energy medicine, is that we really harp on the quality of the stone.
Right.
Being a pure frequency of that stone's vibration and being potent, potent enough to create real results.
And so how do you. Right. So, like, say you have a stone, and all gemstones are essentially different unless they are sanded and molded or whatever. You know, that sort of thing. So how do you determine this stone's gonna work or not?
Well, for me, personally, in my practice, like, I've really had to make good friends with really good geologists and gemologists because they're the ones that can really speak. Speak to the quality and possible treatments of the stone. And then having very, very few reputable sources that I can source gems that I would use in my practice for.
So it's.
For me specifically in my work, it is not as easy as walking into any crystal shop and picking something and saying, this is going to work. Unfortunately, I've seen too many clients walk in and be like, oh, I have malachite. And their malachite is clay.
Right. That's what. So. So I had to get my gemstones tested, gia certified for the gem bra, in order to be able to sell them on qvc. So I had to be able to say, this is not. And it was important for me, too. I didn't. I didn't want a fake stone, obviously, because the whole idea is it's being worn close to your heart, so it's a chakra, and it's like.
Right.
So, you know, I'm not necessarily healing anybody with my bras, but I'm definitely uplifting them and giving them a good vibe or whatever. And I wanted real stones to do so.
So, yeah. No, that's the right way to go about it. That's awesome.
Yeah.
So I'm glad that you took that extra step.
Yeah. So bottom line is that there's. Yes, there are people that can tell you this is a good stone to work with, and you can't just take one off the shelf necessarily, and walk into your office and say, you know, fix my problem with it. So what I think is interesting, too, which kind of, like, led right into this, but because we're talking about, you know, fakes and just things that look pretty, but it might not be the real thing, there is sort of A movement going on right now. Like, I guess I would say crystals are trending. Right. And I think through the pandemic, it really amped up. And that was the perfect time to launch the gem bra, in my case because it was like people were looking for just something to uplift them because the news was so freaking depressing. Right. So it's like crystals were this perfect, like, quick fix. And here you have all these people who maybe thought it was hocus pocus before or just never were exposed to crystals, who are now like suddenly interested. And everyone's an expert. Right. So suddenly you now have this craze, but you have to. To deal with these sort of superficial people kind of who don't really necessarily know what they're talking about, I guess. So, like, how could people, you know, differentiate the good from the bad in that sense? Like, how do they know who's a good source on this?
You know, what I found is that I'm gonna. I'm completely honest with you, actually. When I very first.
When I very first got interested or introduced to the idea that gemstones are crystals, could be quote, unquote, healing in a way, I was like, what? So I started going online, I started doing a lot of research and I was not impressed. I walked away looking at a lot of the stuff on the Internet and going, this all seems very hokey. It wasn't until I found the organization that I got certified through Gemisphere in Portland, Oregon, that they had information that was extremely detailed and very, very specific. And it really piqued my interest.
Like, honestly, it was like, it's clear that they've studied this extensively, not like picked it up yesterday and decided to make a business out of it.
Yeah. Agreed. It was, it was so detailed and specific. I was like, well, this feels like a lot for someone to make up. So maybe, maybe there's something to this. And that's kind of where it started for me. And then I needed to have my own experiences. When I look at a lot of what's being thrown out on social media or media in general, when it comes to, like you said, the quote, unquote crystal craze that we're going through, everybody is saying a lot of the same things. Yeah. And it's a lot of like the same one liners. And if you're hearing people say that and that's all they have to say about a stone.
Yep.
I wouldn't be willing to go deeper with that source.
Okay.
I remember years ago there was someone who was a proclaimed Crystal expert and they were holding up rose quartz and all they could talk about was see this soft pink color. Like, doesn't that just make your heart melt and stuff? And I'm like, there's so much more to rose quartz. Rose quartz is a very deep tool in what we believe to help with emotional congestion and purification.
It's an awareness. Oh my God. So I love that you just brought that up because first of all, I love rose quartz. Like, I feel like everyone can be attract. I don't know, maybe it's just me, like that's my stone kind of thing, but that's my stone. Because they say everybody has a stone that you're attracted to and that's like your stone. Like you're choosing a husband. That's your stone, you know, Mr. Right. So I love rose quartz. I've always been attracted to rose quartz. And what's really funny that you said is, so when I launched the gem bra and I thought I was going to be able to go on QVC and talk about what this stone can do for you. It can help balance you emotionally. It can encourage like all of these things that I thought I was going to say got very last step, like right before launch, like two weeks before going on air. Got to their legal department, which I'm like, why is this the last step? Step? Like this should be the first step. And prepare Justin. Oh my gosh. I will never forget my exchanges with him and how stressed out I was and crying at night over it. But he said to me, you cannot talk about what the crystals do. You can say they're a pretty soft pink. You can say they're heart shaped now, mind you, you can barely see them in the bra because that's the whole idea. They're behind like a mesh triangle. You can say that. They whatever. And I went on QVC and watched all these clips of crystal. People who were saying like they evoke emotions of blah, blah, blah. And he goes, no, you can't say that. Well, they said this. No, you can't say that. There is this. This was my favorite. This lady that was in my training class with me made a necklace, a mustard seed necklace. And it was a great concept. It had been done before. But anyway, she won the big find just like I did. And they were allowing her to say like, mustard seeds give you hope and inspiration. And it was the reason she was allowed is because mustard seeds are in the Bible. And I was like, Jerusalem was built on crystals.
Wow.
And everything I said, they were like, no. Until he stopped responding to me altogether. And I was basically like. So when you say that about, like, I saw someone talking about the pretty pink color, it's like, that's what happened to me. And unfortunately, in my three presentations on QVC with this gem bra product, I was not able to tell anyone watching what the crystal actually meant and what it could do for you. So that was very unfortunate, and that was really hard because obviously they were like, well, we like the idea that you're a bra lady and you have this great story, so just make it about the bra. And I'm like, but it's not about the bra. And it was supposed to be open up all these people who'd never maybe tried crystal and crystal healing. It was supposed to open them up to that through a bra. Like, that was, you know, the idea, like, here I am opening you up to this new world, and I wasn't, unfortunately, allowed.
So.
Yes. So there is a lot to be said, obviously, like, you're an expert in probably almost every stone out there at this point. And there's. How many of them? Thousands? I mean, how many stones would you say are.
I would actually not say that I'm expert in every stone. There are lots of stones that I have not worked with. I do know that every stone that I do work with, I know very, very well. And it's because I've kind of married the intuition work that I do. I studied medical intuition with Tina Zion.
Yes.
And I started to realize, well, what I'm actually doing naturally in sessions is I'm not only intuiting the energy of people, but I'm also intuiting the energy of gemstones. And I'm watching what gem energy does to people. Energy. And through that, I've been able to learn so much about just energy in general from the stones, as well as learning about the stones myself.
And how many would you say you use in your repertoire right now? Like, if you had to guess a.
Number, it's close to 100.
Wow, that's amazing. So I love. One of my favorite things about your TikTok channel is you do this recurring sort of segment where it's helping people develop their own intuition, which I think is so cool. Like these little exercises to help.
Intuitive Tuesday.
Yeah, Intuitive Tuesday. Oh, my God, I freaking love it. Like, I always do the exercise. And it's funny because I always kind of did a little bit of that before your videos were guiding me. Like, I would always try to say, like, something. One of the kids, for example, would lose something in the house, and I would let my body go to where the room it was in or if it was outside in the garage, like, I would find it. Yeah, essentially.
That's awesome.
So I was kind of already doing those, but then yours are so cool because you have all these different ones that people can do. So what kind of inspired you to do that?
I think because I studied intuition with Tina Zion, and Tina really presses on. This is natural and innate. This is not a special gift. We all have intuition. We just all maybe have natural propensities towards it, or maybe we haven't utilized it or worked on it as much, but everybody, every single person has that capability. So. So that really stuck out to me. And then also just I know that I'm a better practitioner to my clients because I really focus on trying to perceive energy. I really work hard at utilizing my intuition, getting my mind, my judgment and my bias out. And if you're able to exercise that intuition more and more, you can get into that place where you feel more sure about yourself and how you're moving about the world, which I think is a wonderful thing for people.
Right. Well, I love that you said everybody has this in them. It's not like you have to be a psychic medium or someone that's trained. Everyone has this in them. And I think we, especially as women, we block our own intuition. Like, it's that gut feeling, folks. Like, it's that nagging feeling. Like, you met that guy and you had that a little bit of an off feeling in the pit of your stomach, but you pushed it down and you ignored it. That was your intuition. That was your. Like, the gut feeling is the best way to describe it. And as I've developed that throughout my own personal life, like, I've utilized that in business in so many circumstances, and there's been times where I've ignored it. And I looked back on it and I said, you know what? I knew, and I ignored it. And that's my own fault, you know, So I learned from that. So I think if we can all. And that's why I love your exercises on TikTok, because they can. If they feel like they don't know where to start, you know, to kind of get better in tune with that, they can visit your TikTok channel and do that. So just learning how to listen to your own intuition instead of ignoring it is like one big nugget of information. Like, that's the gemstone of information, I think, like, that people really should take away is that. Listen to that voice inside you because that voice is trying to tell you. Or it might not even be a voice for sometimes for me, it's just like a little like a chill or something. Or, you know, like there's something that's always telling you, like. Or I get, like, around someone who has bad energy. I get like a prickly feeling and my kind of hair stands up on, like, my little hairs stand up on end, you know, like, those are the things that we can fine tune and better listen to. And then start utilizing that in your life, like business situations, dating situations. You know, if you meet somebody on match.com and then he just gives you the wrong feeling right away. Like, I fill it out of there instead of saying, oh, he seems like a nice guy. I'll stick through one date or whatever. Like, you owe it to yourself to listen to that intuition. So this, I think this is fascinating. I think we could probably come back and do another episode on all the stuff that we didn't talk about with meditation aspect of it and everything like that. But I want people to be able to find you, especially on TikTok. It's at turn A New Leaf Intuitive. At Turn A New Leaf Intuitive. Same with Instagram and Facebook. They can find you also at Turn A New Leaf Intuitive energy and body work. And if someone wanted to come see you personally, they have to come to Saratoga, New York. Correct. That's where you are.
