Steve Barnes, a North London plumber with 40 years in the trade, switched from paper estimates in his van to creating and sending them straight from his phone. He now delivers quotes to customers instantly and wastes no time shuffling through damaged paperwork.
I'm Steve Barnes. I've been a plumbing and heating engineer for the best part of 40 years. Worked all over North London. I was a nightmare with paperwork. It'd be scattered around the van, the pads would be on the seat, they'd get ripped. Gas Engineers software has cured all that. Everything is done straight onto the phone and that's it, finished. Nothing to worry about. It saves me a lot of time because a lot of time all of us sit in the van for like 20 minutes waiting for a customer. You can sit with your phone, write an estimate, send it from there, it goes to the customer straight away.
