Two educators discuss using Design & Technology classes to introduce students to trade careers. Trades are rarely promoted as viable options, but a simple hint within DT could spark interest in these pathways.
I quite liked DT at school. I feel that's a good way that curriculum could be developed. They could expand on DT to then incorporate some, some of the trades within that at a very basic level so that younger kids can see.
So just kind of like a hint of, you know, you know, try this, you might like it, because you don't really hear about the trades being promoted as a viable option.
