In this concise tutorial, the presenter demonstrates how to delete (archive) and restore (unarchive) a job within the Gas Engineer Software web portal. The walkthrough begins with opening the jobs list, selecting the Outstanding Jobs tab, and choosing a specific job (e.g., job #213). The presenter clicks the Delete option, confirms the action, and shows that the job moves to the Archived tab. To restore, the presenter navigates to the Archived tab, opens the same job, clicks the Restore button, confirms, and verifies that the job reappears in the Outstanding list with all original information intact. The video emphasizes that deletion only archives the job and no data is lost.

In this quick video, I'm going to walk through the process of deleting and restoring an archived job in Gas Engineer Software. Both are done in very similar ways, but first we'll start off with how to delete a job. So the first thing you want to do is open up the web portal and then head to your jobs list. On this page, you'll be able to see two tabs at the top, one for outstanding jobs and one for archived jobs. In this case, since we want to delete a job, we're going to go to outstanding jobs. For this example, we're going to delete job number 213. So the first thing you want to do is click on that to open up the job. On the right-hand panel, you'll see several different options, one of which being to delete the job. Clicking on that opens up a popup for you to confirm the action. Click yes and the job will be archived. So if we were to go back to our jobs list, you'll see that it's no longer there at the top of the outstanding jobs list. However, if we move to the archived list, you'll see that job number 213 now sits there. Supposing we wanted to restore that job or any other job that we've deleted, you would simply have to head to this Archivist, open up the job number, and then click the Restore button over here, which is in the same place as where the Delete button was. Click on that, click Yes to confirm that you want to unarchive the job, and now if we head back to our jobs list, you'll see that job number 213 is back on the Outstanding Jobs list, and all the information that you had before is still there, so don't worry about anything ever being deleted. And that's it!
