An admin walks through editing a user's details and permissions in Gas Engineer Software. Log in, find User Settings from the top-right menu, select the user you want to change, then edit their info on the left and their roles and permissions on the right. Only grant the permissions they actually need for their job.

To update an existing user's settings and permissions, you'll need to log into the web portal as an admin user, as settings can only be updated on the app for the account currently logged in. Once you've loaded up the web portal, click on your name in the top right-hand corner and then on 'User Settings'. Once this page is loaded, a popup will appear which shows your own settings. Close this and you'll be able to see all the users currently in your system. Click on any and a popup will appear for them. You can edit their details, down here on the left side, and you can edit their roles and permissions over here on the right. For more information on the different roles and descriptions, please scroll down in this article. We'd always recommend only providing the permissions necessary for that user to do their job, both for data security and to prevent accidental modifications.
