Boiler service reminders are sent to your customers automatically by Gas Engineers Software, provided there is a gas service due date logged in the system. In this video, I'll show you how the process works, how you can edit your reminder content, and even turn them off for specific customers. Note that while any record creation on your mobile device will update the stored gas service due date, modifying these settings can only be done on the web portal. So to start, log on to your account and from the dashboard, click the settings icon in the top right-hand corner next to your name. Then, if you scroll down a bit, under Service Reminders and Email Templates, click Manage. On this page, you'll need to click Edit underneath Annual Gas Service Reminders. On this page, you can choose whether you'd like the reminders to be sent automatically or not, but just note that this is a global setting that applies to every single customer. You can also choose whether you'd like to send a copy of the reminder to yourself, and you can also set how many days before the service due date the reminder is sent. You can also edit the subject line and the body content for the reminder email here. Be sure to use these drag-and-drop tags on the right-hand side over here. Simply drag and drop them into the email and they will auto-populate individual data for that customer, such as their name or their job address. You can also add any attachments by clicking down here. The system knows when to send out a reminder based on the gas service due date stored under each individual property address. If you want to see where they're stored, simply open up any job address and then you'll see the gas service due date down here. If you want to edit the gas service due date for a specific customer, you can simply click on this and it'll open up a calendar pop-up for you to choose the date. Alternatively, if you're importing a large database of customers with individual gas service due dates, you can just get in touch with our support team and they'll help you do that. Whenever you issue a relevant record, such as a homeowner gas safety record, the system will automatically update this gas service due date. So if I was to issue a record today, the due date will be set 1 year in advance for next year. If you want to turn off reminders for a specific customer, all you have to do is navigate to that customer's page and then click this toggle over here and set it to off like so. SMS reminders can also be set up. For more information on that, click on our SMS reminders guide linked just down below.
