By the end of this video, you'll know how to record and remove payments for an invoice in the web portal. To begin, log in to the web portal. There are two ways to record a payment. The first is from the invoices page. By default, the outstanding tab will be displayed. Use the search bar or adjust the date range filter to find the correct invoice, then click Add Payment in the far right column. Alternatively, open the invoice itself and click Add Payment on the right-hand side. Both methods open the same payment window. Here, confirm the payment amount, choose the payment method, and adjust the payment date if needed. You can also choose whether the customer should receive an email receipt confirming the payment. Click Record to save the payment. Back on the Invoices page, the status will update automatically. If the invoice has been paid in full, it will move to the Paid tab and show £0 outstanding. If there is still an amount remaining, the invoice will stay in the Outstanding tab. If the payment matches the transaction in your bank account, You can mark it as reconciled, which helps keep your records organized. If you ever need to remove a payment, open the invoice and click "Remove All Payments" on the right-hand side. Confirm the action and the payment will be removed. That's it! Your invoice payments are now recorded and tracked in the system.
