Resending A Certificate Or Record On Gas Engineer Software

In this quick video, we're going to walk through the process of resending a previously issued certificate or record through the Gas Engineer Software web portal or mobile app. We'll start with the web portal, which we already have open here. An easy way to do this is to navigate to the job address and then find the certificate or record from there and then resend it that way. So to start, we're going to click on the job addresses tab at the top here. We're then going to find the job address either by scrolling down this list or by typing in your customer name or job address. Once you've found the job address, click on it in that column. That will open up the job address in more detail. What we can then do is click on the History tab down here, which shows all the different activity related to this job address. We can then find the issued certificate that you want to resend. Click on that, and that will open up here in a preview screen. If you want to resend it, simply click on the Send button on the top right-hand corner. Click Send Gas Certificate on the popup, which will then redirect you to the emailing screen. Here it will automatically populate your customer's your email here, CC it to your admin email if you have that set up in your settings, and we'll have your default email subject and body content, which you can change here, and that will not change the default template. Tick any photos you want attached to the job, and this is the gas certificate here, and then simply click send, and that's it, it's done. So now we're going to walk through the process on the app. All right, so once you're on the app home screen, what you're going to want to do is head to your existing records and drafts and then find the specific certificate or record that you want to send. So in this example, we're just going to send a gas safety record that we've issued before. You can toggle the issued filter here to only see issued certificates, and then you can search for your customer or job address just like on the web portal. Once you've found the one you want, click on it and then click send email. Again, just like on the web portal, you have options to include any photos that were upload it to that job and edit the content as necessary. Once you're done, you click Send over here, and that's all done.
