SMS Reminders On Gas Engineer Software

Set up SMS reminders in Gas Engineer Software by entering your phone number in Settings, then buy credits to send texts to customers. You can customize messages with customer details, schedule send times, and toggle reminders per customer, but keep texts short since longer messages use extra credits.

Once set up, Gas Engineer Software can send automated SMS reminders to your customers, provided there is a gas service due date logged in this system. In this video, I'll show you how the process works, how you can edit your SMS reminder content, and even turn them off for specific customers. Note that while any records issued on a mobile device can update the stored gas service due date, setting up and customizing SMS reminders needs to be done on the web portal. So to start, log into your account and from the dashboard, click on the settings icon in the top right-hand corner next to your name. Then click Manage under SMS Reminder Settings. Unlike email reminders, which are free to send, SMS messages cost a small amount, so they operate on a credit basis in Gas Engineer Software. To get started with SMS reminders, simply enter in your number here, or the number you'd like the reminders to be sent from, and then click SMS Reminder Setup. You'll then have to wait a little bit for receiving a message from our support team to confirm that the account has been set up with SMS reminders. From this point, you'll need to top up your SMS credits periodically from this page by clicking on the green button over here. Or ringing up our support helpline. To edit the text itself, simply click Edit Gas SMS or Edit Oil SMS at the top over here. Unlike email reminders, SMS reminders are turned off by default. You can freely turn them on and off here, choose whether or not to send a copy to yourself, and also set when the reminder is sent out. You can also edit your text message here and use the drag-and-drop tags over here to input specific customer data such as their name or job address or property address. Remember to keep the message brief, as a longer message may take up 2 credits in the system. Lastly, if you'd like to turn off SMS reminders for a specific customer, you simply need to head to that customer's page in your software system, click on their name, and then use this toggle over here in the bottom right-hand corner and make sure it's turned off.
