Tutorial - The Sync Centre

Hi everyone, this is Aaron, the Customer Success Manager at Gas Engineer Software. We've received some questions recently about a feature that we've introduced called the Sync Center, so I'm going to spend some time with you today just to go through what it is and how it works. Let's get straight into it. The Sync Center is a feature that is available on Android and iOS apps. And is intended to help on the rare occasion that you have an error regarding your data not syncing. Using the example here, if your sync has failed, you should see at the top of the screen a bar that says, "Tap here to see the warnings." Also, the number of syncing errors that you've experienced is numbered below in the left-hand corner on the Sync Data Now bar. If you click the banner at the top, an overlay with a list called Errors will appear You can see the date and the time and also where on the app this has occurred. As you can see here, it is a gas safety record from the 23rd of May 2022 at 5:10. Simply tap on the bar and this will take you to the page where the error has occurred. Depending on the error itself, this should highlight the area that you need to investigate and fix. Once you've resolved this issue and on the home screen, if it doesn't automatically, please sync the app. I do hope this feature helps you in the future with any syncing issues you may have.
