Customer Success Coordinator VHS

Justin Henderson and Veteran Hiring Solutions explain the Customer Success Coordinator role, which bridges sales and recruiting. You'd package job opportunities for veterans on the sales side while matching them to roles as a technical expert on recruiting, then feed insights back to sales. The job demands relationship-building, problem-solving, and the ability to persuade without formal authority.

If you've heard from us before, you've probably heard us say that every interaction is an interview, and we've come to a crossroads in our organization where we are looking for someone that can help to amplify those interactions we're having both with the customer and with the veteran job seeker.
And so for me, I'm responsible for sales. I'm responsible for that client outreach. And what we do on the sales side is we're the ones that are getting those opportunities from that traditional job description and then package them into an engaging opportunity for the right veteran and for them to understand their value in it.
And then on the recruiting side, we take that vision and then we aggregate it and we're that technical expert who really goes out to the veteran and says, hey, have you thought about this role? This is why this role is good for you.
Yeah.
And then we take that back and we repackage it and hand it back to sales, or in this case, this new person, and say, this is why this veteran is the right fit.
Yeah. 2 distinct personalities in each role.
So as you can hear, we need the personality that values building long-term relationships, that does well with process-driven environments, and even is creative about creating new processes. That's a good problem solver, and that ultimately is good with persistent persuasion on both sides of the spectrum.
Yeah. And, you know, it's somebody that owns the seat because if you have— if you're on the team, you have the uniform, right? You have a voice. But it's also that persuasion without rank because you can't really tell a client what to do, but you can persuade them to understand the value of what we're trying to get them to do. And that's really important. And the standards on the recruiting side.
And for me, I'm looking for a doctor, right? And what I mean by that is I want somebody who walks in, builds instant rapport, gets you to do something that you didn't even know you wanted or needed, but you're 100% bought in. But then you've built trust long-term that they keep coming back to you every time they have a problem because they know you're going to fix that problem, right? Yeah. So, No, I don't want you to have a medical degree, but I want you to be my doctor.
I love that.
Yeah.
And realize we didn't say anything about industry experience. We didn't say anything about MOS, right? This is a human-based role that enjoys creating rapport, long-term relationships, and feels fulfilled under those relationships. But you also have to be able to hold your team accountable, yourself accountable, and influence along the way. So I think if this is something that you're interested in, please reach out to us.
