Ditch Your Morning Routine: Manifestation, Money & Becoming HER w/ Mimi Bouchard
9 Apr 2025 · 69 min
In this Makeshift Happen podcast episode, host Samantha Daly interviews Mimi Bouchard, the founder of the luxury motivational audio app Activations and upcoming author of Activate Your Future Self. Mimi challenges the common belief that strict morning routines are essential for success, arguing that self‑image and embodied belief are the true drivers of transformation. She outlines a simple two‑step framework—clarity (getting crystal‑clear on the feeling of your future self) and becoming (acting as that future self in everyday moments)—and explains how her Activations—visualization audios designed to be listened to with eyes open—serve as a form of subliminal conditioning that rewires the reticular activating system. Mimi shares her personal journey from a financially unstable childhood, through drug use and self‑harm, to building a multi‑million‑dollar business, hitting her first six‑figure months, and manifesting a book deal with Hay House. The conversation delves into money mindset, raising one’s “energetic minimum,” and the concept of a set point for income that becomes normalized. Mimi also discusses the flexibility of belief systems, equating scientific, spiritual, and placebo perspectives on manifestation. The episode explores the costs of rapid expansion—social isolation, shifting friendships, and the need for intentional celebration—along with her “bounce‑back rate” concept for handling setbacks. Finally, Mimi offers practical advice on elevating one’s energetic set point, maintaining alignment with a future self, and nurturing a long‑term partnership with her fiancé, Ben, who supports her growth while remaining pragmatically grounded.

What if feminine success wasn't built on cold plunges and 5 AM wake-ups? Welcome back to the podcast, you guys. In this episode, Mimi Bouchard spills the tea on manifestation and expanding your capacity for success. Think effortless identity shifts, magnetic money mindsets, and building empires without burning out. If you're ready to ditch the grind and become that girl, this conversation is going to be your blueprint. So welcome to the show, Mimi Bouchard. She is an entrepreneurial trailblazer, hailing as one of the OG personal bloggers from almost a decade ago. She has accumulated over 250,000 followers across her social media platforms, and her groundbreaking luxury motivational audio app Activations has quietly amassed tens of thousands of subscribers and millions in annual revenue, changing the way that people all over the world think about meditation, including high-profile devotees like Miranda Kerr. Mimi has become a new pragmatic motivational voice for women, and her debut book is launching this spring with Hay House. And we've brought her on to Makeshift Happen to chat everything manifestation, money, her success stories, secrets, and how you can utilize these activations to really start to change your life from the inside out. In this conversation, you will hear us talk about why a morning routine really isn't the golden ticket to success that everyone makes it out to be. Mimi's simple 2-step formula for transformation, going from $8 in her bank account to becoming a deca-millionaire, and her approach to money mindset and abundance. How to raise your energetic minimum and start expecting more. And the one mindset shift that changed Mimi's entire life and can change yours too. We also talk about the real secret to becoming your higher self without the hustle and the real cost of expansion and growth that no one really warns you about. I also ask her about her long-term relationship with her fiancé and how she's been able to evolve with her partner over many years instead of outgrowing each other when they're both committed to growth but in very, very different ways. And her partner is not a personal development yoga meditation guy like a lot of us see in this coaching space where people are just the same version of each other in male and female. That is not her situation. It's also not my situation. So we kind of jam on what that's been like and how they grow together throughout the years. Overall, this is such a juicy conversation. I hope you guys enjoy. Without further ado, let's get into this episode and welcome Mimi to the show. Welcome to the Makeshift Happen podcast.

Okay, welcome to the show, Mimi.
I'm so excited that you're here. I actually have to— I have to start by telling you something that's kind of embarrassing. So back in— it was probably 2019, I think. I'm pretty sure that I sent a pitch to be featured on your podcast. I think I was like in— no, I don't think, I know I was in my manifestation era of like anything's possible, you know, like shooting for the stars. But this was like very early stages of my career in the personal development space. I didn't have my own podcast at the time. None of that was really happening. I had barely like served clients at the time, but I was shooting my shot, you know. Um, and I was, I was sending pitches to like all these shows that I was like, I can be on this show. Like, I just really, I saw the vision for myself, you know. Yeah. Um, but it's crazy because now we're here to, you know, your team pitching to have you featured on Makeshift Happen. So I'm like, this is kind of like, is this the manifestation? It's kind of like the full circle moment. And I just felt like it was the perfect way to open our conversation today because we're obviously going to talk about, you know, creating the life of your dreams and living up to your fullest potential. So I had to out myself, um, and tell you.
Well, thank you. I honestly, like, probably at the time had an assistant that just filtered through, through things, so I'm, I'm sorry that it didn't work out. And now my podcast, I was just telling you, like, I've just completely kind of set it aside, but, um, but That's really a cool full circle moment. And, um, that's really, you know, I feel like the world is so small, we were going to meet at some point.
Yeah, for sure. I know. And it's like all those— I think this is something that can be relatable for anyone listening. It's like you, you put yourself out there and it's not always going to be your time. And like you have to be willing to face a lot of those like nos and stuff, um, so that you can get to your yeses. So it's just a very, a very cool moment. But welcome to the show, Mimi. I'm sure my audience is really excited that you're here. We are gonna get into so much when it comes to manifestation, money, love, personal transformation, all of that. Um, but first I heard you say something recently and I was like, okay, we have to talk about this because I feel the exact same way. I don't have a set in stone morning routine, which is something that people love to harp on and talk about in this space. Yeah. Right. So I've heard you say that you kind of realized that your growth and evolution is not really contingent on having a routine or doing the morning routine in any way, but it's really more about yourself and image. So can you talk to me about that and, and, um, share your kind of perspective on that?
Absolutely. Well, I've transformed my life in every way, shape, or form, um, especially since, you know, my whole 20s were times of transformation. So for almost a decade, and I've done it all and I've tried all the things, and really my work comes down to the fact that it doesn't have to be about those perfect habits and routines. It actually just comes down to your self-image and your personality, because that's going to shift things in your life more than anything else. I also think that if you look at it through that lens, changing becomes a lot more easy and effortless. And who doesn't like effortless transformation? That's really, you know, why I got into speaking about this work, because I like a shortcut. I don't want to do it the hard way. I want to find the easy way to do things. And what I had learned is that when you adjust your self-image, all of the routines and habits that you must do actually become very effortless. You don't even need to write them on your to-do list to go do them. You just naturally do them because you're the type of person that has a life like the results of your future self and what they have. So, you know, technically, if you looked at my life, you'd think, oh, she has a routine. But I don't even look at it that way. I don't really look at my morning routine like I need to check off journaling, I need to check off doing an activation, I need to check off, like, you know, time without a screen. And every single morning, my routine obviously looks different. I'm not actually that much of a rigid person. I'm a lot more flowy. But every single morning, I do usually act like my future self does. And some mornings I am journaling when I feel like it. Other mornings, perhaps I'm listening to a walking activation while I'm walking the dog. And I'm doing the things that I know align with the person I want to be, but not in a rigid way, because it's become more flowy for me because my self-image is one of someone who does these things naturally, who likes to feel good. And for me, waking up and checking my phone for an hour the minute I wake up doesn't feel good. That doesn't mean I don't do it sometimes. I'm not perfect. I still definitely struggle with that. But the majority of my days don't look like that because my self-image is aligned with the version of me that is, you know, wanting to feel good and aligned with my personal development every day.
I love this kind of shift of way of thinking about it because exactly what you said, it's like in some ways when we're trying to become the next version of ourselves, we're thinking, okay, what do I need to do to get there? And then it feels like the morning routine is a checklist. Like, I've gotta do the journaling because that's what my future self would do. I have to do the meditating because that's what my future self would do. But you're looking at it through that lens of like, I've gotta check these boxes in order to be like my future self. But what you're really saying here is that the action piece becomes so easy and effortless and almost automatic when the belief piece comes first. Right? So for everyone thinking, okay, how does it just become effortless? Like what you're saying is when you actually feel like you're the person who is just naturally healthy, you do healthy things without having to think about them. Like that's just how you live. There's so many things that we do automatically in our lives right now because it's who we believe that we are, and we don't think about them. We don't consider them, oh, I did that in my— as part of my morning routine. Like, we all brush our teeth, but we're not— when someone says, what is your morning routine, you don't go, well, it's brushing my teeth.
Like, it's not—
it's not normally something that we categorize in the morning routine.
It's just what you do.
It's just what you do. So that's exactly like what you're saying here is doing the activations on your walk or the journaling or, you know, going to get a workout in or whatever it is that you do. It'll look a little bit different every day, But it doesn't even feel like a morning routine because it's not. It's like brushing your teeth.
It's just who you are. The intention. Yeah. The intention behind it is different. I'm not doing it because I have it to check off my list. I'm doing it because I deeply feel like in that moment, journaling is something that will help me feel clarity on a situation that's been on my mind, or doing a walking activation will make me feel more alive and in tune with this like energy and motivation that I want to feel that day. It's the intention behind it. So you're spot on. And just like you were saying, if you see yourself as a healthy person, like it doesn't mean that you don't have like a burger once in a while. It just means that like that's something that you, you know, see more as a treat and like it doesn't make you feel good if you have it every single meal. And it's not hard to say no to that when you're out for dinner because it's just, you feel good doing what you do, right?
You're not in the headspace of like trying to put on trying to put on the hat of like, okay, I want to be my healthy self now. It's just because you developed the belief systems of it, naturally when you go out to dinner, it actually sounds good to you to order the salmon and roast veggies, like whatever it is. Like, we're just using that as an example. Like, exactly, we don't care what you eat. Like, eat what you want, pop off, Queen. But you know what I mean? It's like that changing the belief system. So we'll get into talking about that, but I'm curious, but everyone's gonna go, okay, well, how do I do that now? Right? So like, if I— if right now I'm approaching becoming my next level self through this checklist of actions of what I think that I need to do because I'm assuming my future self will be doing those things, how do I reverse engineer that, flip the script, and start by changing the beliefs? What did that look like for you?
Okay, so I have something I think you're really gonna love, and your business is gonna love it even more. Do you want to steal the strategy I've been using to seduce premium buyers and sell out my offers on Instagram stories? Chances are you're already posting, you're already making sales. But if your Instagram stories aren't working as hard as you are, you're leaving money on the table. Sold Out Stories is going to teach you exactly how to change that so that you can sell out any offer at any price point. And even high-caliber coaches miss this because selling on stories isn't about how much you post or how frequently you show up face to camera. It's about psychological sequencing. And the way you're posting right now might be giving the premium buyers in your audience the ick. Documenting your day and hoping it builds trust. Posting look-at-me content and calling it authority. Sharing client wins as soon as they drop in instead of strategically weaving them into a story-selling sequence designed to drive demand and convert sales. We both know that you're not here to learn how to show up more. You're here because you know your content could be converting faster and more effectively. Sold Out Stories is going to give you 5 high-converting story-selling frameworks built specifically for premium buyer psychology. Inside, you'll get over 6 hours of deep dive video trainings, real IG story breakdowns, and live walkthroughs that show you exactly how to elevate your slides from authority building all the way to offer flow in less than 10 slides. My clients have already been using these frameworks to pull 5-figure sales days while posting less. One client generated 14 premium leads from a single story sequence. Another sold out her event in under 6 hours with just 8 strategic story slides. No sales calls, no paid ads, just the right frameworks. You'll walk away knowing how to sequence for desire, transition into your offer seamlessly, and sell daily without ever feeling salesy. You already know your offer is incredible, so now it's just time for your stories to sell it like it is. Grab Sold Out Stories today and turn 10 slides or less into your highest converting content. Let's make your next story your most profitable one yet. Click the link in the show notes below and I'll see you inside.
Yeah, so I like to teach a very simple two-step process. The first step is clarity. You must first get crystal clear on who your future self is and what it feels like to be her. And then step two is becoming. You must be her now in everyday moments. And that ties into my company Activations because Activations are motivational visualization-based audios different to meditation that you listen to with your eyes open in everyday moments. And they're specifically designed to help you be her now, be your future self now. They instruct your, your mind and body to, to step into the energy of your future self. So really, when you simplify transformation down into two steps, this is what it is. Step one is clarity. And it's not— you don't need to know exactly what the flooring looks in your future self's Malibu beach home. Like, that's not the clarity I'm telling you to to, you know, focus on. For me, you know, the clarity is getting crystal clear on the frequency of your future self, what it feels like to be her. So what does it feel like in your body to be your future self? I'll tell you, for me, it's this feeling of just confidence and abundance, and everything is happening for me, to me, exactly as it should, for the right reasons. Faith. I also like to feel awe, just this, you know, awe for the world, awe for the beauty of being alive. I— my future self is deeply abundant in every way, shape, or form. Her relationships are beautiful and unlimited. Her, you know, relationship with herself is also just, you know, incredible. Her finances— when you think of financial wealth, it's unlimited. And it's just this feeling of unlimitedness for me. And for me, my future self frequency it's this very specific feeling. But when you understand that future self frequency, I call it, then memorize it, and then you can just tune into it, snap into it, step into it in these everyday moments. And the reason why it's so important to, to be in this state in everyday moments, in these, you know, typically mundane moments of your day that you experience every day without thinking about it, like brushing your teeth in the morning, like unloading the dishwasher, like, you know, working, getting on public transport to get to your job or commuting, whatever it is, those everyday moments, the, the magic in becoming your future self in those everyday moments is that you start to utilize classical conditioning. We've all heard of Pavlov's dog theory. Pavlov rings the bell, the dog salivates. You're essentially doing the exact same thing when you listen to activations in these everyday moments. If you listen to an activation every morning when you walk the dog for 15 minutes, Soon enough, you won't even need the activation to feel unlimited, inspired, motivated, confident. And really, that's the trick to success. So number one is clarity. It's more about how you feel. I like to teach visualizing with your body, not just your mind. I don't remember the last time I did a vision board. Sure, they're great and they're fun to do, but I just— for me, it's all about the work that actually makes you feel something physically. And I just, you know, for me, seeing something visually doesn't help as much as feeling something and being in tune with my body. So number one, clarity. Number two is becoming, be her now, be your future self now, no matter where you are, no matter what you're doing, even people listening to this podcast, whatever you're doing right now, just step into the energy. How would your future self hold herself? How would she, you know, move? What's her posture like? And just get familiar with that feeling of being her now. And you're going to collapse timelines if you do that, and you are going to start living your future now. Sooner than you think.
I love this so much because I personally love activations. I've been creating them for years for my clients because I love visualizing the future, but it really just hits for me so much better when it has that kind of like cinematic, like perfectly curated music on a track as well.
That's—
as you're talking about creating the sense, that's how I get to create sensations in my body of what my future looks and feels like, is through music. And sometimes it's just through like music generally, because I feel like if you have a good playlist, sometimes you put it on and you're like, I am that bitch. Like, you're just— you are stepping into that future version of yourself. Um, but one of my favorite activations that I give to my clients often is like, it's called Remember Who the Fuck You Are. And that's what I love about your app, because it carries like a similar, um, frequency where they're not meditations, but it's more like energizing, it's motivating, it gives you that kind of expansive, like, I can do anything, like, I could be anything, I'm already her. Type energy. I'm curious how you've used— now that you offer this to the world in such a beautiful way— how before that you really used activations to change your life personally. And I know there's a, a specific story of like using activations to manifest your book deal, which I think is so cool because the book is obviously coming out soon. But would you be able to tell us that story of how you've used activations to manifest the deal with the book?
Yeah, well, I've, I've kind of used it to create my whole life, and I created this type of audio back in 2017. I was really into personal development and I couldn't find an audio that stuck with me. I was trying to meditate and I didn't understand how that would help me reach my goals. I was in a time in my life where I wanted to really move in a very energized way towards my goals. I wasn't interested in just calming my mind and Yeah. So I found myself just like listening to Tony Robbins seminars on YouTube or like, you know, I just— I couldn't find an audio. And at the time I didn't realize it, but I had created the first activation and I took out the voice memos app on my phone just very intuitively. I was in my like 150-square-foot apartment and I had written down a visualization that I, that I wanted to remember very deeply because I knew the science behind visualization. I understood the science. Behind all of it. I was doing a lot of research on that at the time. And of course there were meditations that were more visualization focused, but they just felt like just not my vibe, you know, nothing against them, just they were too like talking like this. And I don't— I wanted something invigorating and there was nothing that like was what I was envisioning. So I took out the voice memo app on my phone and I verbally like like described the feeling of my future. And then I've always been very into music, um, so I put into my GarageBand this audio, and then I layered in different cinematic music, um, that I could find, like, from movie scores and from composers that really know how to make you feel a certain way. And, you know, I really wanted to hack the music side of things, so I did this all in GarageBand. And for years, I just created dozens of these for myself. Myself. I noticed that I'd make one and put all this effort into making one and listen to it on repeat, just like you'd listen to a song that you love on repeat for 2, 3 days. And then I'd get really bored of it and then I'd make another and I would spend so much time doing this. And then about 4 years ago, I launched my platform and I didn't really know what to call these audios. And at first I called them meditations because I didn't know what to call them and there wasn't a word for it. And I developed activation or or meditations, I called them. I was one of the first to ever do a walking meditation. We actually kind of developed that first, you know, 4 years ago before— now they're kind of trendy amongst other platforms. But, you know, and then I created legs up wall meditations and, you know, all these different categories, getting ready in the morning, all these different, you know, kind of, again, very open-eyed, in mundane moment types of audios. And then about 2 and a half years, 3 years ago, You know, I was, I was, I do a lot of research projects in my company where we talk to our users. And from the beginning I was like, I don't want to call these meditations. I don't know what else to call them. And so we actually worked with this incredible product team and did like a 3-month project to find the new word. And, you know, throughout that time I was like, okay, it has to, you know, feel more active. And we talk about acting as if a lot in the, in the app and in the audios that we that we promote. And we came up with activations and, you know, bought activations.com, got the IP for it and everything. And, and then from then that point onwards, we just decided to not call it meditation because it just wasn't what it was. All of our users were like, this isn't meditation. So really it was led by our users being like, we need a new name for this. So then I created the app. It was initially meditation, then it became activation. And yeah, that's kind of how the company started and using activations in my own life. It's been my number one tool with everything from— I recorded my own activation in 2017. That's like the year I started recording them with the day before I met my now fiancé and I described him and I was getting— I told myself, get into the energy of meeting your fiancé or meeting your future husband. And, you know, like I really described how he made me feel. I got into the energy of of, you know, feeling that way before he came into my life. And I literally met him the next day. And I've done that with everything, you know, from hitting certain milestones financially. Activations have been very, very strong, um, and very effective for that. You know, I was doing the exact same activation, um, every single day for a month before I ever hit my first 6-figure month. The same exact thing before I ever hit my first 7-figure month. And I actually have a whole category on the app called Targeted Visualization Activations where it's like, you know, manifest $1 million, manifest $100,000. And I was doing like the original version of that one. So with the book deal, there wasn't a specific activation I created for that, but it's just like the general consensus of when you know how to work the system and you know how, you know, the world works when it comes to embodying the energy of your future self, to then achieve it faster and easier, you know, you just kind of start seeing those results happen. And the book deal was, you know, another thing I, I didn't realize that, you know, I would get a book deal this big so quickly and so easily because it's not like I have millions of followers. But, you know, I really just had faith and I stepped into the energy of that Mimi and I did an activation the morning before doing the big meeting at Hay House. And, you know, it just, it worked out that way. So the story of kind of how it all came to be is just very organic, and I like to share it because it just shows that at that time, I was onto something. And the more that we all lean into what our intuition is telling us to do, I think the more successful we'll all be. So it's a really interesting story, but But yeah, I hope that answered the question.
Yeah, yeah, for sure. No, and I'm like, when this becomes part of your— the way that you just like operate in life, kind of how we were talking about in the beginning, when it becomes such a natural part of your routine and how you show up, of course you're going to naturally manifest a lot of different things, like your partner, the book deal, $100K month, like all those other things that kind of come in because you're acting and showing up and being her. I've heard you talk about the Post-it notes that you've used before of just having Post-it notes everywhere that was like, be her now, be her now. When you constantly have that a reminder and you're showing up in that way and you're doing the things that she would do, then these opportunities are naturally going to be pulled into your field more easily. So it makes a lot of sense, right? You, you've been pretty candid about the fact that when it comes to— because we're kind of talking about like manifestation in a roundabout way right now— but you've been pretty candid about the fact that, um, when it comes to like spirituality, manifestation, whatever, you don't really know what you believe. All you know is that it works. So can you explain your perspective perspective on that for anyone who maybe is feeling like they're not getting the results that they want in their life because they don't feel 100% aligned with one belief system or another. They feel like they have to, you know, believe in a certain god or like be all in on the manifestation or spirituality or X rituals, like, and maybe that's why they're not creating those results. As someone myself also who loves to live in the gray, like, that's what I always say, like, there's black and there's white, but like I'm always in the gray, baby. And like everything, I think the extreme ends of anything is probably not the place where I really want to be. Um, but yeah, I just love to hear your perspective on, on that, of not needing to know exactly what everything means or like what the 100% truth is or the belief system in order for it to still work.
Yeah, and I, I agree with you. I'm also the type of person that is just very open to many different modalities. I think when you, you know, shut off to other potentials, you might limit yourself and your growth. So there is a quote that I say, and it's, no matter kind of which lens you look through, this work works. So whether you're— a scientist would call it psychology or the placebo effect, a Christian might call it prayer, a spiritualist will call it manifestation or the law of attraction. And oh wait, no, the placebo effect was the atheist. The atheist would call it the placebo effect. The scientist would call it, you know, psychology or the RAS, the reticular activating system in your mind, or self-image psychology. Like literally, if you ask any belief system, there is proof that this work works. So whether it is, you know, you tricking your mind that you're already this person, therefore you're going to start seeing opportunities that that person would have seen, which is the RAS, the reticular activating system in your mind. It's a filtration system that essentially decides what you consciously notice or not. This is, you know, like science, it's true, it's a mechanism in your brain. And, um, you know, an atheist could call it the placebo effect, and that's also something very well studied, that, you know, what you believe to be true actually happens. And then obviously spiritualists, uh, manifestation, and, you know, the law of attraction, like we all, you know, I'm very much so, I believe in that, um, as well. But then there's also quantum physics that can— a lot of those theories can explain a lot of what's happening here. You know, there is proof to show that like particles attract like particles, and there is energy around us. There are biofields around our bodies that scientists have measured. That's really crazy. We can't see a lot of the things, you know, that are going on. And at the end of the day, it's like, what belief would best serve you is the question that you should ask yourself. Because if you want to be pessimistic and believe that you have no control over what happens to you in your life and there is no greater force that it will support you when you are working towards something, then sure, that's what you will create in your life. Whatever you believe is true, actually, like, is that beyond that?
Is that helping you or is it just making your life harder by believing that?

It's— you're manifesting it if you believe it. I actually believe in the power of belief life so deeply that if you believe in something to be true, that is actually what will be true for you. Yeah. So why don't you believe in a reality that you want? Yeah. That you want to experience? I like to feel like I'm 100% responsible for my life, and if I want to go live a crazy existence that, you know, not many people can achieve, then I would love to be able to do that and, and feel like I'm able to. So it's just served me. This belief system has served me. This work has served me. And there's a lot that can explain why it is accurate, whether you look at religion, whether you look at, you know, spirituality, whether you look at, you know, science and quantum physics or atheism and the placebo effect.
I love this because I feel the exact same way. It's just like I always say, it doesn't matter what you believe, it matters that you believe and that the thing that you believe is actually making your life better, not making your life harder. So if we get to choose, if it's all made up anyways, or if no one knows the truth, like who really knows like what the afterlife is or what's gonna happen when we die if we wanna get super like, you know, existential. But it's like if no one knows anyway and we just get to choose, then why not choose something that makes your existence on earth while you're here better? Like you said, why not pluck outta the sky and choose the belief that's gonna make you actually be able to take more risk, to show up as a better version of yourself, to create these unrealistic results, as you say, in your life. I love that because I so, so align with that as well. I think, you know, in this process of becoming that next version of ourselves, our future selves, um, in the growth of, of doing that, of becoming our future self, there is also a lot of unbecoming. There's a lot of like shedding and letting go of, of who we used to be. And I know that you have a, a story around that as well, of you weren't always this person. Season, right? Like in your early teens and 20s, like same, same as me, party girl, you know, doing all these different things. But it's like we had to unbecome that first. Can you take us back to like that season and just for our listeners to also have context to like, it wasn't like you just started as always having this life or like being this public persona, having all the followers or the successful business or any of that.
Yeah, for sure. Definitely would, would love to share a bit more about this because it does, you know, it, it matters. A lot of people could look at my life now and think, oh, like she just was born into wealth and it's probably daddy's money.
And it's always that, that's always the comment.
Oh, little do they know it's the other way around. Anyway. It's, yeah, it's, I, I love my family, but I definitely grew up in a very, um, unstable financial environment, and I share about it a bit more in my book because obviously it's not my thing to share in depth. But the reality is that my parents are artists and we grew up with money being a constant issue. It was the only thing they'd fight about growing up. Um, if I was gonna go to summer camp, like my grandparents had to help out cuz they had a little bit of money, but I always felt like like, you know, my immediate family, it's like we were on the outside looking in. Like a lot of people around us had, you know, comfortable lives, but we didn't. And, um, there was just a lot of insecurity about money growing up. So that's, I think, the initial thing that motivated me to try to make my own wealth because I didn't feel safe. And I had gone through quite a difficult time, um, quite young. It started very young. It was like my preteens until I was around 2021, I went through a very dark time and was doing a ton of drugs and started this all very young and had gone through some really difficult personal things, even was doing self-harm, had a severe eating disorder, and just really was not at all the person that I truly am. And I think you alluded to this before, but something I say often is because, you know, this work is about unbecoming. It's about shedding the layers of what you're not. It's not about becoming this thing that you've never been. I deeply believe, and maybe this is a bit more spiritual, but I think deep down, you know, that craving that our soul has to live a different life, that's actually because it's what we're meant for. And, um, yeah, so I healed myself and all of the shit that I had gone through, and that's really what got me into personal development work. This was a decade ago and before it was deemed cool online to be into personal growth. So all the books I was reading were with old gray-haired white guys on the COVID with their thumbs up like, "Read this book on success." And it's like no one our age was really into this kind of thing. It was really cringe, but I really got into it. And because it kind of saved me, to be honest with you, and I'd struggled with myself a lot and I had tried things like therapies, but nothing really worked for me. Um, I knew I had to kind of just do it myself for some reason, and everyone's different, but that's just what happened for me. Um, and I got really into it, and then I started doing the work, and I started getting really inspired to especially make money. At first it was really money-driven because I had never really experienced feeling financially secure. So I think going into becoming an entrepreneur and, you know, kind of just leaving. I grew up in Toronto in Canada and I just left when I was 19 and moved to England and on a working holiday visa and had no— I had saved up money from working at a bar that summer. So I had maybe, I don't know, $5,000 to $8,000 Canadian going to England to move there and start fresh that I'd saved up. And I got there and I was in this really crappy flat share with a roommate and I just was working when like 4 jobs. I was working at a juice bar in the mornings. I was nannying this Italian family at night. I was interning at this fashion agency. I was like dog walking on the side. And I was also trying to make my first entrepreneurial venture, which was an online magazine, a success at the time. And so around that time, after my money from the bar, you know, kind of ran out, I remember there was a moment where I literally had $9.63 in my bank account. I have a screenshot of that somewhere, um, online. And, uh, you know, that's kind of, that was like the beginning of, of like, okay, like, you know, I'm, I need to come up from here. And, um, then a lot of opportunities came my way and I just pushed myself and said yes to everything and took advantage of every opportunity that I could. And I also just remember being such a hustler. Like I knew this was a thing. Maybe back then a lot of the time I wasn't acting like my future self 100% of the time, but I knew that I was becoming her. There was no doubt in my mind that I was going to start living a different life. Like, I knew. And that deep self-belief and knowing was not something I was born with. I had to build it within myself. And personal development got me there because one of the first principles— and, you know, one of the first personal development books that I read, which is Jack Canfield's Success Principles— the first principle in that book is take 100% responsibility for your And that was something I'd never taken, you know, I never had had that taken responsibility before because it was just, I was a victim. I was kind of raised around, you know, like it was just a cultural thing, like just, oh, it's not our fault. And, um, I decided that was not gonna be my reality. And then I took charge and did everything I could and put myself out there in really cringe ways. But you know, it all worked out. And, uh, I, it's been worth it for sure.
Yeah. This, this reminds me so much of like my own journey too, cuz when I was 21 I moved to Spain and it was similar. Like I saved up a bunch of money nannying my last year in, in university. And then by the time I paid for like my visas and flights and everything in first months, like rent deposit on like a place to live there, I just got there and basically like had no money. And I was working in the schools teaching English, like, not making very much money, and then I was also doing like private classes on the side, and I was also interning for someone like unpaid. Like, I was doing all the jobs, I was doing all the things, while also then trying to start my own kind of like thing online. So it's funny how there's, you know, sometimes there's just these like parallels with the journey that it takes to get there. And I also remember speaking of like old white guys and, and books that really changed your life, like I remember vividly reading The book Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker and having a similar feeling of just like, I have no idea how I'm going to be a millionaire, but I know that I'm gonna do it. Like, I just know that I'm gonna do it. And I think like, ah, like what is that? Do you know what I mean? Like, what is that? What is that self-belief? Uh, 'cause I just believe that it's so, it's such an ingredient in the success formula. Like everyone that you meet that has done something really crazy, wild, big, amazing, like at some point they had that delusional belief in themselves even when they didn't have the proof. Like, even when it wasn't like, oh, this is all going well and I have these connections, so it makes sense, like I'm probably going to get there. It was like, no, they've had some sort of story where they didn't have the plan, they didn't have the path, but they believed and they felt within themselves that that outcome was possible. You said that you cultivated that through doing self-development work, but just from your perspective, like, what do you think that is? Can people Can people create that? Can it be taught?
Yes. And I know exactly what it is. It can absolutely be taught. It's just the simple understanding that you can create whatever life you desire. The people that don't actually deep down believe they have the potential to create the life they desire will never take the steps necessary to get there because it's a risk. They don't know if they're gonna get there or not. But once you understand that anything you want can become a reality and that the world is unlimited, your potential is unlimited. That's the moment that you become that version of you before it happens. And that feeling of potential is really the feeling that's inspired me most over the past decade of doing my own transformation, building my business, helping tens and tens of thousands of other women transform. Activations that I've created, like, they are infused with that feeling. They are infused with potential. And I think that feeling is the most special feeling. It's magical. And we've all felt it in little blips of time. And listening to an activation, I like to compare it to, you know, like, if you're in the backseat of a car and there is a song playing on the radio and the window's down, you're kind of just like, what if, like, I don't know, you kind of feel like you're in your own movie and you're just getting that feeling of like, that is honestly what for me activations feel like. And it's all about, A, actually acknowledging that anything you want can happen. And, um, when you actually understand that fact— that is a fact in my vocabulary— when you understand that fact, then of course you're gonna do it because you know it's possible.
Yeah, I think like what I'm really taking from that is like identifying— when you start to identify as the creator of your reality, then things become possible for you rather than feeling like you're just in this system of life just happens in this way, or I'm a victim of my circumstances, or because this or that happened, like this is just what I get now, or this was the hand that I was dealt. And to go back to what you, what you said from that book, that was like the very, you know, first principle of like taking 100% responsibility for your life. Like when you do that, you go, oh, I'm actually— I can actually control this video game. Like what, what I choose to like think and believe and how I make myself feel on a regular basis, which we can manipulate through things like activations, like, oh, that gets to like start to create the external reality that's like showing up around me. Like, okay, cool. So then, then you actually get to use it to your advantage, which is awesome. So identifying as like the creator of your reality is huge. I know, like when I made that shift for myself, myself, so much started to change in my life too, of just being like, wait, I'm like the epicenter. Like, I'm the—
I'm, I'm the thing.
Everything else that I'm experiencing ripples out from me, from my thoughts, from my beliefs, from how I feel often. Okay, well, like, I can change that, right? How can I manipulate that?
Okay, cool.
Like, so it puts you in the, in the seat of control, which feel— everybody loves control. So, um, it feels really, feels really good to know that you have the power to be the creator of your reality in that way. But I kind of want to circle back to talking this conversation about money because you mentioned in your journey, you know, you grew up, your parents were artists, um, and you've gone from that point of having $9.63 in your bank account to now, you know, creating multi-million dollar business, all these things. When you were younger, um, like, and your parents would say things like rich people aren't happy, how did you, how did you start to you shift that narrative around money? And was there a moment where you realized, like, okay, I've finally done it? Like, was there— because sometimes, you know, you're just like moving through life and then you realize, like, I'm a different human. Like, it happens so like gradually, like, along the way that sometimes you don't notice it. At least that's been my experience. And there will be something that happens where you just wake up one day and you're like, oh my God, like, I literally am a different person because I I would have dealt with this scenario so differently, or I would have thought of this so differently, or this would have triggered me, and like, I have no feeling around it anymore. So was there any specific moment as it relates to money where you realize like, oh, I've really changed the narrative that my parents passed down to me?
Well, the biggest trip on that note of what you just said is like, when you're acting as if so much and you become that person before the thing happens, it's like the most such like natural transition. Like, I am never shocked anymore when a certain amount of money lands in my account, or when we've had a huge month with the business. Like, I— it's annoying. I want to be shocked. I want to be like, wow, look what we've done! But I've already been living in the energy for ages before it happened. So it's a really bittersweet thing doing this work because you're obviously achieving what you want, but like, it's not shocking. Yeah, because you already knew it was coming. So I have to sometimes sit back and, and, you know, just like stop and smell the roses and remember. And it's like work for me. I need to like sit down and be like, wow, look, I did this right. So, you know, yes, I— there was a lot of moments that, that I felt that my childhood was not going to kind of dictate— my upbringing was not going to dictate where I would end up. There were a lot of moments like that for sure. I think, you know, with my business, it's changed my life and it's really this incredible situation to be in because this work is changing so many lives. But financially, you know, I think once I hit consistent six-figure months, like every, I just, it didn't feel like shocking anymore. And a lot of people say, oh my gosh, like, you know, you could do so much with that, but it doesn't. You kind of just get used to it, and then you hit, you know, like, more than that. And it just— I guess what I'm trying to say is you get used to it.
Yeah.
Which is not a great thing, and I wish it was different. But my younger self, if she had seen the life that I'm now living and, you know, the lifestyle I get to live because of all the work that I put in over the years in this business, she would be in awe. And I actually think about that often. I wish I could go back in time and like show her a snippet of this life because we would celebrate together. I just, I, I need to make more time to, to be in awe of this life. And that's the problem that comes with doing— the only problem that comes with doing this work is that you already are— you already know what your future self feels like. I already knew what millions of dollars in the bank felt like before I ever even had it. So the feeling doesn't come as a shock to me. Um, again, bittersweet, but this is just the pure reality of it.
Yeah. But I think that's a good reminder for people too, of the fact that we do acclimatize to anything that becomes normal in our environment, whether it's for better or for worse. Like you can also become acclimatized to something really negative. Like there's scientific studies about how after a certain amount of time, like a really annoying noise, like you actually just, your brain just like turns it off and tunes it out. Like you can't hear it anymore. So it's like we have these functions where when something becomes normal, it doesn't create that kind of like jolting feeling anymore. Even if it's— we want the feeling to be excitement, like you don't have that same jump in your heart when you like see that big number or you hit a big milestone or you get featured in a big publication or like whatever happens. Um, which is like you said, a bummer. But I think for all the entrepreneurs that are listening, it is a good reminder that like you said, we actually have to be more intentional about the celebrations. Then we have to be intentional about slowing down enough to— even though we might not be getting that like surge of like, oh my God, I can't even believe it, because you can believe it because you practice it a million times before it actually happened— but to, to still savor those moments and actually be really proud of yourself. And like you said, reflecting to that past version of you or your inner child who would just be like over the moon about like what's in your current reality, like that's, that's also really special.
Yeah, absolutely. And I also think it's a good thing feeling used to that feeling because energetically that means that that's your new set point and you're going to continue. It's actually concerning if I'm like, oh, this is so amazing and great and I'm thinking about it a lot because that means that it's actually not a default kind of set point energetically for me. So, you know, now I have a default set point of monthly, like, revenue for my business or income, and if it ever goes below that, it's like, this is uncomfortable, this is not right. Fix it. Like, we need to fix it because it's like, this is so uncertain. Um, and then at the same time, it can work the other way. You know, I, I'm— I can honestly say I am not energetically aligned with $10 million months right now. That feels energetically like it's not aligned with me at the moment. I haven't actually started working on that number, but I should, you know, like, I guess, like, matter of fact, I'm going to create a new activation. After this. Yeah, exactly. But, um, you know, I, I'm always wanting to continue growing, and of course, but, but I— that is definitely a set point I have not achieved yet. Um, but there are other set points that I have that my now, like, it will never go below that, and I'm very confident in that. So, um, there's always going to be the next level, but it's also about understanding that, you know, you can also be very happy in the level that you're in. Like, right now I've actually realized that I can continue growing my revenue, my income without, uh, working as intensely as I used to. This is like a new thing I'm trying to work on. I will say that, uh, over the past 3 and a half years, just owning a startup and having a very, you know, specific type of business, it's been an incredible amount of work. But I will say it comes naturally to me because I have the self-image of someone who likes to work in this this capacity. But I've now decided that in this next era of my life, I do want to live in a bit of a softer, more feminine way, um, and step into kind of a different way of living. Because I, I will say, like, I do get stressed and a lot is on my shoulders, and I don't really want to feel this way all the time anymore. So this is like a new reality that I'm carving out for myself, is continuing to grow my business double plus $10K less per year, but also, you know, not necessarily working incredibly long hours to do that, hiring strategically, focusing on 10x opportunities only, so on, so forth. So that's kind of what I'm working on now.
Yeah, so good. And I think there's so many women in my audience specifically that are also entering this phase of their entrepreneurial journeys and just like life in general where they feel like marriage and babies or whatever is kind of like that next season for them and And maybe if they have been hustling for some time, they're like, I don't want to not continue to grow, but I also want to open myself now to the, like you said, identity of someone who's able to grow with more ease, with more spaciousness. Um, and because you've worked so hard already and kind of laid those foundations, that is obviously going to be possible for you. But it all starts with belief anyways. So yeah, like, you know that you can create that if you created this. This, like you can definitely create that, just like repeat the process, but for exactly what you want that, that outcome to be. But you mentioned something that I know my listeners will love, which is that idea that you were talking about of the, the set point, right? The energetic set point of what has become normal to you. And to your point, it's like, yes, it's a good thing that you don't feel so highly charged around these like big milestones because it means that they truly are normalized within your body, within your nervous system. Um, so what— like, when it comes to raising your energetic minimum, let's say like I'm here, whatever that is, and I want to go up to this next level to make something bigger or better be my new energetic minimum, my new set point. Like you said, never go below that. Um, what do you think would be helpful for someone like that to start to raise their— obviously like doing all the work that we know to do. But I'm just curious if you ever intentionally were like, okay, I'm at, you know, $50K months, but I want to be at $100K months. Was there anything that you specifically did intentionally to raise that set point?
It is all about consistently changing your physical state to match the future self version of you that has that, that reality. So I know that sounds a little floaty, but just listen to this in a very simple way. How it feels to be making $100,000 is a different feeling in your body to how it feels making $50,000. It just is. It's a different feeling. You feel more unlimited. You feel more ease and confidence in what you're able to do. You are, you know, thinking about— well, I guess it's more thinking, not feeling, but you feel expansive because perhaps you could start investing in different areas. You could expand, um, your revenue from not just what you're making with your business, but from different investments. You could start angel investing. You can start donating to a charity you feel really passionately about. You just have more expansive opportunity around you. So, and as a feeling, like right now, if you told me, Mimi, you're gonna do $10 million next month, I would have a completely different feeling in my body. Um, and, uh, that's obviously something that keeps coming up that I gotta work on. But anyway, no, it's 10 million a month. Damn it. Yeah. That's a lot. Um, again, maybe that's my limiting beliefs talking here, but, um, but I'm just giving an example here because we recently hit our first 7-figure month, which is so exciting, but now that kind of feels normal. Um, but anyway, so going back to the point here, the feeling of, of doing something or making a certain amount of money in different— it's a different feeling in your body. Okay. So the longer that you can sit with that feeling in your body of the higher amount, the more that's going to become normal and natural to you. The more that you feel that feeling in everyday mundane moments, like I was speaking about earlier in the episode, like when you're grocery shopping, when you're walking the dog— and that's what activations are designed for— then you can embody that energy in everyday moments and, and use it as classical conditioning, use it to subconsciously reprogram, and use it as a subliminal in a sense. Activations definitely have that capacity of being subliminals. At the same time, you don't need to actually consciously listen to what the words are, are saying. It's just the energy of these audios will help transform you from the inside out. So being in that elevated state in everyday moments, holding on to that elevated state as long as you can, and it feels good to do it. It's not hard, it feels good. So just holding on to it the longer you can, the faster you'll get there. And it does not mean that you have to achieve 100% living in that state before you achieve it, I oftentimes will be in that state maybe 30, 40% of the time and achieve it. So it doesn't have to be 100%. Again, I do— I never promote perfection. It's not about perfection. It's about your bounce back rate. This is a term that I've created years ago. The bounce back rate is the rate at which you bounce back after facing a setback. So for example, if you've been in your healthy era and you, you know, eat a cookie, okay, like that's normal, that's fine. That's great, you know, but if you go and eat the entire box because you have this all-or-nothing mentality, your bounce-back rate is very long. If you have one cookie and you're like, okay, cool, I'm going to bounce back and, you know, keep being my healthy self and don't make a big deal about it and don't have this all-or-nothing Monday, New Year's, you know, first of the year, first of the month mentality, you're going to be so much more successful because perfection doesn't exist. We're humans. I've never had one day of being perfect on my journey of creating this dream life. No. Person you see in a glossy magazine has ever had one perfect day where they've woken up at 5 AM and didn't procrastinate and ate organic and did all their perfect routine. No one has ever had a perfect day. So take that out of the equation. It's about the bounce back rate. And if you implement this to everything in your life, including being your future self energy now, then that is just a recipe for success.
Mm. Yeah. So good. The bounce back rate, like shortening the time between when you've like deviated from future self to when you can get back to future self. I love that so much. I wanna talk a little bit about the cost of expansion cuz we're talking a lot about like expanding in your life.
Yeah.
And I think there's like a big fear that holds a lot of women back from becoming their future self faster, which is this idea that they're not gonna get to take everyone in their life on that journey with them. And I've talked about this with a lot of, a lot of my clients. Um, because they start to face this reality. The more that they grow and the more that they expand, the more abundant they become, the more their life changes, the more their standards rise, the harder it can be for people in their life to understand them or to be happy for them with what they're achieving or to relate to them. So I'm wondering if you've ever experienced any these costs of expansion, of like sometimes like people and like things in your life just become unaligned because of how much you're changing.
100%. And this whole, you know, transformation of life is going to come with these types of costs, and it's not always going to be 100% this positive experience because people change and and a lot of people like to be around people that make them feel better about themselves. Hey, including myself. Before I kind of started this journey, I remember feeling jealous of people and probably avoiding them because it made me feel bad about myself back in the day. I really can confidently say I have not done this in a long time because I feel very happy in my life, but I would shit talk people and it's just because I wasn't happy myself. And now on the other side of the coin, since I've created this incredible life for myself, I definitely seen people kind of act in a similar way. Um, and it hurts. And I, I definitely have, have had friendships fade and, um, certain people in my life not be as close to me anymore. And I definitely think, especially with the business that I've created over the past 4 years, a lot of my focus— I moved to the Bahamas. 5 years ago. I launched this company like 4 years ago, and I've also just been pretty isolated. Like, yes, I live with Ben, my fiancé, and I, you know, speak to people on the phone every day that don't live here, but I definitely isolated myself too, which like didn't help. And I realized last year that I really wanted to put more of a focus on creating new friendships here because I felt pretty lonely a lot of the time, to be totally honest.. And I felt like all these areas of my life were so strong, but then I just didn't have like a super, super close best friend like I, you know, had a lot in the past. And then I started putting more effort into other relationships that, you know, revived them. And that was definitely a big help. Um, but yeah, to answer your question, 100%, there are costs and there are costs with everything, right? Mm-hmm. So, um, it just, it's navigating it when that time comes and And also just the acknowledgement that once you achieve that dream life, not everything is going to be perfect. That was a big wake-up call for me when I was younger. I was like, wow, when I achieve that life, everything is going to be perfect.
No problem.
Nope, definitely not. But it's better. I love getting 3 massages a week. I love getting whatever, you know, like I love this lifestyle, but it's not perfect. But, you know, like I'll deal with things all the time. I can't control certain things, and that's okay. I've realized it's actually not about controlling everything. And also, on the other end of the coin, it's not about being completely helpless. When something happens to you, your response is 50% of the equation. The event plus your response equals the outcome. So it's not the, you know, event equals the outcome. It's the event plus your response is 50% equals the outcome. So I realized that I actually have a lot to do with the things that happened to me in my life and how that translates into either growth or, or not.
Yeah.
And like that, like you said, your response also when you feel that there's friendships fading or things that are falling away or these costs that you're experiencing to the expansion. It's also like, how do you interpret that? And are you making it mean that you're doing something wrong or that it's, oh, it's such this negative part? Or is it all just serving you for that next place that you're going. I think that, that, that is a huge piece of it too. One last thing that I'm, that I'm curious about, kind of in a similar vein of, of this idea of, you know, as we grow, things naturally really change in our, in our lives and our relationships. Cuz I know I met my fiancé when I was 21, and I think, I think you met Ben also when you were quite young.
Okay.
Also when you were 21.
So, uh, just curious, was he your first boyfriend too? He was my first boyfriend.
He wasn't my first boyfriend, but, um, but it's crazy when you've been with someone for that long, right? Like, just in a couple days it'll be our 10-year anniversary, which is like— it's crazy to be with someone for that long. I'm sure you feel the same. It's like, what, what was life before, like, doing life with you, right? But so you— we obviously have grown up with our partners because you've changed so much from 21 to, you know, being in your 30s or late 20s or whatever. But what was your experience like growing up together in that relationship while you are constantly becoming becoming a new version of yourself and changing. I had someone ask me this question on a podcast the other day, and I was like, that's so interesting to think about because a lot of people grow apart in their relationships when they meet really young. So it's cool to like see someone else that also met their partner really young, and it seems as if they've grown together. What do you think, like, was— what was the— what was the formula in that? Why do you think that worked for you guys?
So I think about this a lot. And there actually, there wasn't this one thing, this one formula. Like, we kind of just naturally fell into this really great partnership.
Is he also someone that like really values growth and is also constantly changing? Like, does that add to it?
In a different way to me. In a different way to me. Like, he is not into— he, I don't think he's ever read a self-help book. I, he, he is very into growth in a very different way to me, and he is a lot more more, yeah, like a lot more pragmatic, but yet, you know, just he's the stable grounding force in my life. Um, we were both completely different people, you know, when we met 8 years ago, completely different people. And I'm very grateful that we grew in the same direction. Obviously there have been years, um, or not years, but moments throughout the years where we've had ups and downs and, you know, like we had to work really hard. Like, we've done a lot of stuff together. Like, we've done therapy— not two, we've actually only done like probably 8 sessions in total, but like, for us that was, you know, very impactful. And, um, we speak a lot, we spend a lot of time together, and I honestly feel like it, it must be something about a soulmate situation because I I feel like no matter what, we're going to continue kind of growing in that same direction. Of course, I can't tell the future, but I just— I'm so grateful that we met at a time where we were both in a certain phase and we both encouraged each other to become better, a better version of ourselves. We both completely transformed. But the trick is to keep growing in the same direction. I don't think that's something you can force, though, right? For my experience, experience, yes, you have to do the work in the relationship. You know, if you can't figure out how to argue properly, that was like our issue. I get really emotional and I'm like, I need to talk about it now. He's like, give me the evening, let me sleep on this and we'll talk in the morning. I'm like, no, like, I have to— why are you doing this? I'll be up all night.
I can't sleep.
Wake up, we're talking about this. Yeah, no, so we definitely have— like, the biggest thing was like how we communicate and argue when we have disagreements. And honestly, like a few therapy sessions really solved that. And then, you know, you go through things with your relationship when as a woman, if you become very successful, like that is a big trip for a relationship. But thankfully he's super secure in that and so happy for me. And there is no weird— like he's just a really good person. And I think that also helps everything. Um, so yeah, there's a lot of complexities and it's been one of the biggest beautiful learning lessons in my life being in this relationship. And we've both seen so many different versions of ourselves. I just think there was some sort of like level of it. This was meant to be, even though it didn't feel like it every single moment of the relationship, right? To be honest. Felt. But I really look back with, with clarity on, and with hindsight on, you know, this, this person was meant to go through these phases of life with me. And I don't think it was something that was forced. It was a natural evolution. And just like how a lot of relationships fade away from each other with like the natural evolution of each individual. I'm just lucky that we kind of went in the same direction.
Yeah, yeah, I really feel the same way. But it's so, it's so beautiful to kind of see when that happens. But I also think it's a cool reminder for people because I know a lot of my like single friends are really fixated on this idea of like finding the exact right person who's like fully formed and like, you know, complete, like they're, they're like done in terms of like they're at the exact level of like growth. And I think for me, obviously because I met my partner so young, I have to say for sure, you know, being 31 now, I would be looking for some— I would be looking for certain characteristics, whereas when I was 21, I was literally not even looking for a boyfriend when I found— I found my partner. But, but even so, it's like there is beauty in growing with each other and not needing your person to arrive to you perfectly packaged and like completely done. I think there's value in that too.
Yeah, there's beauty in like going on that journey together. Absolutely. Yeah, that's actually a huge misconception And, you know, yes, a great way to find your partner is like work on yourself and be your best self, but don't hold yourself back from putting yourself out there in that process because you very well meet— may meet someone that is just ready to grow with you and be their best selves with you and inspire you as you inspire them. I did not meet Ben at the best time in my life, but I was working on myself. I had done an activation the day before thinking about him. But I had to deal with a lot of insecurity at that time too, because I honestly didn't feel like I was deeply like good enough for him at the time. Um, and I was confused as to why he wanted me to, like, I had to still have to work on a lot of self-worth stuff at the time. Um, it's a whole other conversation in itself, the relationship stuff.
