Massive Key to Manifestation that Most People Mess Up
29 Jul 2024 · 48 min
In this July episode of the Makeshift Happen podcast, host Samantha Daly delivers a candid, conversational monthly recap covering her personal life, mindset philosophy, health routine, work‑schedule experiments, and business updates. She opens by describing the oppressive South‑Florida summer and her longing for European autumn travel, then shifts to a core mindset theme: the danger of waiting for perfect conditions and the power of acting on the "ping" or intuition, urging listeners to "just do it" despite fear or uncertainty. She shares personal anecdotes about family gatherings, returning to her hometown of Buffalo after a decade, and the emotional weight of seasonal depression. Daly discusses her fitness consistency with a personal trainer, the psychological impact of progress photos, and the motivational boost of new workout gear. She explains her experiment of taking Fridays off, the challenges of reorganising workload, and the feeling of living for the weekend. In the business segment, she celebrates a $150,000 sales month, announces upcoming live events in Denver, promotes her "Abundant and Ambitious 6.0" mastermind (closing soon), reopens the Alumni Circle mentorship, and mentions her "soft CEO" approach to content creation. Throughout, she blends motivational coaching, personal storytelling, and promotional plugs, aiming to inspire listeners to seize opportunities, trust intuition, and invest in personal growth.

This podcast is designed to help you expand your mind and uplevel your life. So turn the volume up and roll the windows down if you're coming along for the ride. Let's go make shift happen. July has freaking flown by. I cannot even believe it. I gotta say, it is, it is hot as balls here in South Florida. I was just saying to my personal trainer the other day, I have never lived somewhere before in my life where I have wanted summer to end until here. I've never lived somewhere before where sweat literally squirts out of my armpit. Like it's a water gun. I wish I was joking. I wish that was an over-exaggeration. That is simply a new hidden talent of mine that I've discovered, that in the right conditions, in the middle of July in South Florida, when the humidity is 500% and the UV index is like 20, my armpits can squirt. You'll just be walking down the street and you'll feel like a dribble just start rolling down your arm and you're like, wow, wow. I just have never experienced anything like that before. So I'm not gonna lie, I definitely am missing European summer this year. Last year Jaime and I did, I think, a month in mostly Spain, but I also took a trip to London while I was over there, and we went to Ibiza. But yeah, I'm definitely missing the European summer now that I'm remembering. Oh yeah, like, it gets hot, hot, like humid hot, like jungle hot, Caribbean hot here in the summer. But I also kind of feel like summer is one of the most annoying times to travel to Europe because it's just beyond crowded. Like everyone is everywhere and yeah, every American who has the means is in Positano or in Italy or in Spain or France or wherever they are. Um, So yeah, it's not really the most enjoyable time to go to Europe necessarily. I feel like one of my fa— personal favorite times for me is September, October. Oh, that is chef's kiss. Like, if you are planning a dream European vacation, September, October, I'm telling you, like, that's the vibe. It's still— well, depending on where you go, it's still like it's not like cold cold, but it's getting like crisp, but it's still sunny. I don't know, I just remember that being my absolute favorite time in kind of like Spain, France, Italy, like that area. Just the absolute best, like the start of fall, early early fall, end of, end of summer, early early fall, best time. Unfortunately, I will not be there at that time either this year, uh, but we will be back in Spain for my birthday later this year, which I'm really happy about. And also I just like, I'm super grateful to have a partner who's like my YOLO mate and who's on the same vibe as me of wanting to live our lives to the fullest before we are old and retired. Like the time is truly now. And I just love having a partner and friends and peers in this industry and clients who also all deeply value living big and are always down to say yes to these kind of fun experiences. Those are my fav— those are my people. Those are my favorite types of people is the kind of like YOLO people that are like, you know what, I'm feeling the pull. I really wanna do this thing. Like I know it would be amazing. Fuck it. Like I'm buying the ticket. Catch me on the flight. Let's go. I'm gonna be there because that is where you really create your best life. And I think a big thing that's holding a lot of people back is waiting for the conditions to be perfect, waiting for, you know, the finances to be perfect or the amount of time in your calendar to be perfect or you know, things to not be as hard or for your kids to be older or whatever. We're all just waiting for better conditions to do the things that we want to do. But if you actually just started doing the things that you want to do, you would naturally create better conditions for yourself because you would improve your life. You would become happier, you would become more fulfilled, you would manifest faster, you would be in a better energy, you would set yourself in a higher frequency. And so it's kind of this catch-22 where everyone's waiting for better conditions when actually probably just doing the thing in the, like, semi-okay, not the best conditions would be the thing that actually catapults you to creating the better conditions. If you want to create things in your life that are nonsensical, nonsensical levels of abundance, nonsensical levels of fulfillment, nonsensical levels of wealth, of joy, of love, of freedom, whatever it is, if you want to create nonsensical results in your life, then you cannot try to do everything in a way that makes the most sense. It does not work like that. And this is— I see it all the time. People are like, oh, I want to come to this thing, or I want to do this course, or I want to sign up to that thing, or I want to go on this trip, or I want to go on this retreat, but it's not the best moment right now, or maybe later, or I'll do it next time, or when it makes more sense. And sometimes, of course, things are not in alignment, and that's a real thing. But also a lot of the times it's an excuse. It's an excuse for you to stay where you are so that you don't have to face your demons, so that you don't have to change, so that you don't have to try any harder, so that you don't have to access new levels of effort or hard work or self-discovery, right? There's these insidious ways that our subconscious comes through and is like, wait, no, no, no, don't do that. Not right now. You can do it later. And it tempts us with those false promises of next year, it'll be better. Next year when there's more time, next year when there's more money, next year when the kids are older, next year when you're not as tired, next year when you're not traveling as much. And there's two things that we know about this, which is that next year, most likely you're going to be just as fucking busy, if not busier. Right? All of the things that you think are not going to be happening, they're probably still going to be happening or there's going to be new things happening because we think that we know what our life is going to look like a year from now standing here today. And the truth is that we have no idea. We have no idea what's going to come up for us. We have no idea what we'll be working on or what our schedules will be like or what else is happening in the world or where our relationships are at or where our jobs are at or where our finances are at. We just really don't know. And so most likely you will have the same set of kind of okay, but not the best conditions to be able to do things that could change your life or expand your mind or help you deepen into your purpose. And you won't do them because you'll think in the future it'll be better, it'll be a better time to do it in the future. But you'll have all the same limitations that you've always had because things are never perfect. There is no right time. And the second thing that we know to be true is that when we train ourselves to only be able to do things that we love or that are good for us or that involve our personal growth or adventure or freedom or whatever, when the conditions are perfect, then when things are not perfect, which is most of the time, right? We don't have the training to be able to do that work on ourselves in the imperfect conditions. We've said for ourselves, we only take courses or go on retreats or do personal work on ourselves or attend workshops or travel or gift ourself experiences. We only do those things when all of the rest of the conditions line up, when conditions are perfect. And so if that's the training that you're in, what happens when conditions are imperfect? You're not going to feel like it's an appropriate time to gift yourself something or, um, go all in on an experience or invest in yourself or do any of that stuff because you have trained yourself that you only can do those things when the conditions are right. And so it actually does us a disservice because we need those things the most when our conditions are imperfect, AKA most of the time. We need the trips or vacations or retreats or inner work or courses or self-investments or self-inquiry or the deep inner work. We need that stuff most when conditions are imperfect. And so by waiting or telling yourself that there will be a, a better, more appropriate time to do it, e— eventually, if one of those times that does feel better or more appropriate does come along, that's great and you get to do those things for yourself. But then you've also trained yourself that you can only do that when the conditions are right or appropriate. And so we do ourselves a massive disservice by postponing our joy, by postponing our fulfillment, by receiving the pings and the pulls and the desires for things and not listening. So many of us are not fucking listening. You have a desire in your heart. You know that you want to do something. You felt the pull. You have felt the ping. And yet you sit still and you go, later, later, someday, next year, in the future. This is so— to me, to me, it is just so infuriating simply because I know the power of following the fucking ping. When you listen to the desires, those are the breadcrumbs that are leading you to the life that you want. Your desires are divine guidance. They are there on purpose. And so many of us know this, and yet we are still in a position where we're denying ourselves, where we're saying, no, I have to wait because it doesn't make sense, or it's not right, or I have to be less busy, or I have to have more money. We're denying ourselves the opportunity to actually get in alignment and be in the flow of of all of the things that we have communicated to the universe that we are wanting. And the universe is presenting these opportunities and going, here, here, here, do this, try this, go here, be there. And you're seeing it and you're feeling that electricity in your body, you're feeling the pull, you're feeling the desire. And then you go, maybe later, and you shut it off. You kink the hose. You block yourself from getting into the exact environment that might change something for you that would allow you to get in the flow of everything that you've been praying for, everything that you've been saying that you've been wanting. So I can't express enough, there's also so much spiritual value and like personal growth of value in being someone who, who does the thing, who feels the pull and goes, I'm going to listen, who receives the guidance, who sees the vision, who feels the energy around an experience or an opportunity. And instead of going, yeah, maybe, I don't know, let me think about it, let me look at it, let me measure everything and make sure that everything's perfect you just go, yes, sign me up, I will be there. Because the thing is, once you do this for yourself in one really powerful way, you can become the type of person who follows the ping, who is actually able to receive the excitement or the download and just go for it and not be so hesitant and not have to be such a realist and not have to measure out all of the things. Your life doesn't have to make sense anymore because you've done one major thing that didn't make complete sense and you realized, Holy fuck, that's where all of the magic was. And once you experience that magic, you are going to be so open and obsessed with getting back to that state that you'll be able to follow the desires more easily. Of course, there's always going to be fear, there's always going to be doubt, there's always, you know, logical reasons of why things don't make sense or why we shouldn't do stuff, obviously. And we all experience that no matter how advanced or far along the path we are, how many times we've done this for ourselves. But the point is, once you have a concrete point of reference of having felt this way before and done it anyway and said yes and booked the flight or done the thing or made the investment, then you know this is going to serve me. And you don't have to deny yourself the experience because you know the return on your investment is tenfold. There's actually a cost to you not listening. There's a cost to you not doing the things that you want to do. There is a cost to not following your highest excitement and you are blocking yourself from abundance. You are blocking yourself from your best life. You are blocking yourself from healing by not following your highest excitement, by feeling the pull, by feeling the ping, by hearing the download, by seeing the opportunity and going, I feel like I should be there, and then denying yourself and shutting it down, kinking the energetic hose and going, nope, I'm gonna make myself sit here and wait until this makes more sense. That's not how magic works. That's not how the universe works. That's not how intuition works, right? And we know these things. We know that intuition doesn't have to make sense. And yet we are still doing this to ourselves so often. I see it all the time. People are actively blocking their own best lives with all of the knowledge. They listen to all the podcasts, they read all the books, they know all the things, and they're still actively blocking themselves from their best lives because they cannot break that threshold or that pattern of being able to do things that don't make sense. And so if you have something right now that you've been thinking about, that you've been considering, that has presented itself to you, that you know could be so powerful for you that you really want to do, my simple advice to you is just fucking do it. Just fucking do it. It's really not that complicated. It's really not that hard. It's really not that deep. A lot of times we make things so freaking deep Okay, so I have something I think you're really gonna love, and your business is gonna love it even more. Do you want to steal the strategy I've been using to seduce premium buyers and sell out my offers on Instagram Stories? Chances are you're already posting, you're already making sales, but if your Instagram Stories aren't working as hard as you are, you're leaving money on the table. Sold Out Stories is going to teach you exactly how to change that so that you can sell out any offer at any price point. And even high-caliber coaches miss this because selling on stories isn't about how how much you post or how frequently you show up face to camera. It's about psychological sequencing and the way you're posting right now might be giving the premium buyers in your audience the ick. Documenting your day and hoping it builds trust, posting look at me content and calling it authority, sharing client wins as soon as they drop in instead of strategically weaving them into a story selling sequence designed to drive demand and convert sales. We both know that you're not here to learn how to show up more. You're here because you know your content could be converting faster and more effectively. Sold Out Stories is going to give you 5 high-converting story selling frameworks built specifically for premium buyer psychology. Inside, you'll get over 6 hours of deep dive video trainings, real IG story breakdowns, and live walkthroughs that show you exactly how to elevate your slides from authority building all the way to offer flow in less than 10 slides. My clients have already been using these frameworks to pull 5-figure sales days while posting less. One client generated 14 premium leads from a single story sequence. Another sold out her event in under 6 hours with just 8 strategic story slides. No sales calls, no paid ads, just the right frameworks. You'll walk away knowing how to sequence for desire, transition into your offer seamlessly, and sell daily without ever feeling salesy. You already know your offer's incredible, so now it's just time for your stories to sell it like it is. Grab Sold Out Stories today and turn 10 slides or less into your highest converting content. Let's make your next story your most profitable one yet? Click the link in the show notes below and I'll see you inside. We go so far into the fear that we make it like this life-and-death scenario of if I do this thing, what if I never get the money back? And what if it's— la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la! We go so deep into the fucking fear over something that is really not that deep. And it's an invitation. It's an opportunity from the universe to go here I gave you this desire because it has keys for you. There are codes inside this experience that will help you get where you are trying to go. Take it. Come on. Here it is. I'm presenting it to you. It's in your face over and over again. And you keep feeling it. You keep feeling the desire. You keep feeling the ping. You keep thinking, oh my God, I should do it. I should be there. I should have it. That's for me. This is an opportunity. Should I do it now? Should I do it later? When should I do it? Maybe yes, maybe no. Just fucking do it. Do it. This sounds like a Nike ad at this point, but honestly, like sometimes you really just have to rip the bandaid off. Something that I heard the other day, which I was like, oh my God, that is so true, is that the moment before you rip the bandaid off is the worst moment of all, of you just thinking about doing the thing, contemplating, going, oh my God, this is gonna hurt. This is gonna be hard. This is gonna be challenging. Is it gonna work? I don't know. How's it gonna turn out? What are people gonna say? Can I afford it? Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. That's you literally holding the edge of the bandaid thinking, okay, here I go. I'm going to take it off now. It's not going to hurt that bad. Like you're just trying to talk yourself down from the fear. That is actually the worst moment. And then you just go, shh, and you rip it off. You do the thing, you make the payment, you book the flight, whatever it is. And then you are free. You are free to fall into the warm embrace of joy and excitement and and fulfillment and love and oh my gosh, I'm doing this thing and I put myself first and I feel so proud and I get to give myself this experience. And yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Immediately. It's immediate. It's relief because you have chosen the path of your highest excitement. You have listened to your intuition and instead of denying, you've chosen trust and you've said, you know what? I know this doesn't make total sense. I know it doesn't seem like the perfect time. I know that conditions aren't optimal in every single way, shape, or form, But I know the power in listening to my heart. I know the power in following the breadcrumbs of desire, that divine guidance that is flowing through me. The things that I want to do, that I feel excited about, that I feel pulled towards, those are happening for me for a reason. Not everybody wants the same things. You may look at something and be like, oh my God, I would love to do that. What an incredible experience. And the next person may be like, meh, because everyone's path is unique and your desires are part of that divine guidance trying to help you have the experiences and the knowledge and all the things that you need and the tools to be able to get to that place that you are destined to be. But when you keep denying your destiny, you stay stuck. And we stay stuck thinking in our little human brains, I'm going to get better unstuck next year when things are— when the conditions are right. And it's like that thing actually probably would have changed a lot of those conditions and helped you get unstuck much faster. But we don't do it because of risk, because of fear, because of doubt, because of money, because of uncertainty, because of all of the reasons that we give ourselves to not do the things that we are actually meant to do, that the universe is sending into our space, into our peripheral, into our consciousness to be like, hey, I can help you. You told me that you wanted this. You say that you want to be here. You have this vision of your life that looks like this. Okay, here are these things, these opportunities, these experiences, go do them. And we look at them and we go, hmm, not right now. You know, it's just kind of like, mm, the kids and money stuff, and I don't know, and it'll be better later. And then the universe is like facepalming, like, oh my god, for fuck's sake, how many times do I have to put this in front of you? How many times do I have to give you that gut feeling? How many times do I have to give you the desire? How many times do I have to put excitement in your heart to try and get you to take action around this thing? We're so silly. We're so silly as humans. We want and we desire so much for our lives, and then the opportunities that will help us get there come presented to us and we say no. We say no thanks. We say maybe later. We say probably next time, but I don't really know because next time I'll probably be just as busy or have just as many hangups about money, right? So anyways, I didn't know that this was going to turn into this, but these are sometimes my favorite conversations that we have on the podcast because I really feel like I start to like channel, and all of the information and the guidance just kind of like flows through me. So if this landed for you, I hope that it serves you in some way. And if you're thinking about a specific thing, if you have something in your mind that you're like, you know, I have been thinking about that thing and I've been wanting to do it, and all of this is really reminding me of the the exact situation that I'm in, in saying no, or maybe later. Go do that thing. Do it today. Do it now and see what happens for your life when you have the courage to say yes, when you have the courage to choose trust. We talk about trusting all the time, but most of us aren't actually trusting. We're just pretending to trust. We are actually feeling the fear and the doubt, and we're following the path of fear and doubt. Meanwhile, we're telling ourselves it's okay to trust. Trust, surrender, surrender, receive, receive. I trust, I trust, I trust. We're just trying to convince ourselves that we are living in trust. No, living in trust means actually taking the risk. Living in trust actually means doing things that don't make sense. Living in trust means feeling the desire, getting the ping, receiving the download. And even when it feels scary or doubtful or uncertain, you go, I hear you and I'm ready for the challenge. I rise to the occasion. I'm signing up for this universal assignment because I want to grow. I want to get closer to that version of my life that I know is possible. So it's important that you start to do those things. And so if you have something specific in your mind that this has you thinking about, you need to go do that thing and you need to do it now. You need to stop waiting. You need to get out of that loop of that pattern in your mind that tells you maybe later, maybe another time, maybe when there's more money, maybe when the kids are older, maybe when I'm less busy. You need to do it, and you need to do it now. So let's get into all the updates and behind the scenes from life, business, things that I'm loving for the month of July. We'll start in the life category with some updates. At the very start of the month, I surprised my sister-in-law at her baby shower, which was really, really fun. It was like the last weekend of June into the first few days of July. And that was fun and exciting because she didn't know that I was coming. And so I was just able to kind of like secretly show up, and they picked me up at the airport and she had no idea what they were doing there. My brother and I coordinated it, and it was just like, "Surprise, I'm here for your baby shower!" And that was special because her first pregnancy, I wasn't able to really come to any of that stuff because I was living in Spain at the time, and obviously that's a really long way to travel for a baby shower. So I missed all of the things with the first pregnancy. And then when my nephew was born, I was— he was born in January and then COVID hit in like February or March. And I had been planning on coming home in April during my spring break, uh, cause I was still working as a teaching assistant at the time. So the only break that I had from work, the only vacation that I could get was during like spring break time. So I had this trip planned. I was going to come home. I was going to meet the baby, but then obviously every— the world shut down. Everything got locked down. No one could travel. They started closing borders. And so I didn't end up meeting my nephew until he was like, I think, 11 months old. So it was just extra special for us because I think this is going to be their last baby, and I didn't get to experience any of the other things before or really be there for her in, in any capacity with the previous pregnancy and just all the celebrations and the fun stuff. So that was fun, and I knew that I wanted to like make an effort to go and do that. And it was the first time that I'd ever been back to Buffalo for like in a decade, so I obviously grew up in Buffalo, but then as soon as I turned 18, I went away to college and I went to school in Ohio. So I lived there and then I studied abroad in Spain. And then once I finished and graduated from Ohio State, I immediately like packed up and moved back to Spain and was there for 6 years. So I just like, I have not been back to Buffalo at all. Not even for like a trip, a visit, nothing. Also because my parents left. So my parents moved more down south to North Carolina while I was studying abroad in Spain. So yeah, my last year of college, like my immediate family, my parents at least, didn't even live in Buffalo. So I had no reason to go back there. And, you know, Buffalo is— we love the people and the food, but the weather is not something that, that you really want to experience. You know, it's just, it's very gray. It's— the skies are, are gray for a large percentage of the year. Um, I don't think I realized that I had like seasonal depression growing up, but I definitely did. I remember times in high school just like bawling my eyes out and just feeling this like intense resistance and like repulsion in my body of like, I need to get out of here. Like I just wanted to, like, it felt like I was like clawing at like my insides of just like, I need to escape this fucking place. Like I, how can I survive here? Like I need a vacation. So yeah, um, it's really cold in the winter. There's so much snow. The sky is really gray and dark and gloomy, and then everyone gets kind of depressed, and then everyone just binge drinks for football, and then the team never wins, and then everyone's more depressed. And that's kind of— I'm— this is not— I'm not doing a really good job at promoting tourism for Buffalo. But anyway, I feel like that's the reason why I haven't been back in a decade. But what I will say was it was very nostalgic. Going back and just driving around, I barely did anything. Like, I didn't go to see my old house, I didn't go to see my high school. Like, I didn't even drive around in the areas where I really used to live because my brother doesn't live in that same town where we grew up. But there were certain, like, streets and stuff and restaurants that we went to where I was like, oh my gosh, like, I remember all of this. And so many things had changed too that were so different, but like a lot of it was just like the same. And it was very weird. It was like stepping into like a time machine. It was wild. So that was fun. We just kind of like hung out. It was a very chill, like low-key weekend. It was just family time, chilling at home. And then obviously we had the baby shower, which was fun, and we took some little, uh, pregnancy photos for my sister-in-law. And yeah, it was just very like relaxed family time, but it was nice to get to see them and hang out with my nephew before he becomes a big brother and just spend quality time. Other life updates. I have been so consistent, you guys, with 3 sessions a week with my personal trainer, and I am seeing and feeling the differences. Like, I, I feel— I don't know, like, I haven't taken like progress photos. I took some at the beginning, but I haven't taken any since. And I'm wondering like if I'm waiting and I don't want to take progress photos yet because I'm like, I'm going to be discouraged and disappointed if I take a progress photo and I'm like, I don't see much of a difference because I, I feel a difference. And I think when I look into the mirror, I'm like, I, I see a difference. Like, I, I feel so good. I think I look good. Like, my confidence is better. So I like don't want to take the progress pic and have it like wreck that. I'm sure I would notice a difference if I took one, but I'm just like, I'm not doing it because I'm living in my little bubble of like, I'm looking good, I'm feeling better, this is great. So that's been awesome. I've been hitting personal records with lifting heavier and And yeah, just like building more muscle and it's been really good for me. It's been really, really good for me because I never would have worked out like this if it— if I didn't have someone to like hold me accountable. And I just know that about myself. And so it feels really good to like invest in your health. And I think it's one of those things where, you know, we don't usually make an effort to invest in our health ahead of time. We wait until there's a reason or something is wrong to invest in our health. But at the end of the day, you know that it's the only thing that ever matters. Like, if you aren't feeling good in your body and you're not healthy, you have nothing else to, to live for. I saw a quote recently that was so, so good. It was like, when you are healthy, you have a thousand dreams. When you're unhealthy, you have one dream. And that's to get better again, you know. So it feels really good to like be spending the money and the time and the effort, even when it's like inconvenient or it's hard to fit it into my schedule or the workouts are kind of long and I'm like, gosh, you know, this is like eating up time in my schedule, like just to actually make the investment and then to like see and feel those results. So I, to celebrate my consistency with the gym, I treated myself to some new workout sets and some new socks, which has been fun. If you need encouragement to get in the gym or workout or go for a run or do yoga or Pilates or whatever you do, get yourself a new workout set and get yourself some new socks and you will see how quickly you run to the studio or to the gym. Cause you're like, I look so cute. So, um, Lululemon socks, I have to say, they are elite. Like, I know they're probably overpriced for socks, but the Lululemon crew socks, oh my god, I put them on and I feel like a bad bitch. Like, and who— what other sock can you say that by putting on the sock you just feel so ready to conquer life? So honestly, for me, worth the investment that is That is a big slay. The other life update that maybe you guys know about this, I think I've shared it on my socials at least. I'm taking Fridays off from work. I kind of shifted my schedule around, um, a couple of weeks ago, I think maybe, maybe almost a month at this point, or a little bit more. Yeah, like at the end of June I decided I'm gonna do Fridays off. I'm gonna experiment, see how it goes. And I've been doing it, but my honest review is that It's taking me, it's taking me a little bit to like get into it and to get used to it and also to adapt my workload to fit into 4 days a week now. So to be honest, it, at the start for the first couple of weeks, it felt almost more stressful to have the Friday off because it made Monday to Thursday like so jam-packed and crowded where I was like, oh my God, oh my God. And then it was like almost like I was like racing and just trying to like like get to the Friday or get to the weekend, which reminds me of how it feels when you work in a job and you're like living for the weekend. And that's like not the vibe that I ever want to live with. So I was like, I don't know if this is really gonna work for me. I don't know. And I'm still experimenting with it. We'll see. But I do find that like by Friday there's not that much work left to do, but there are like a couple of like loose ends or like little things that I didn't get to or things that it would be nice to get ahead on. And then I'm like, oh, I kind of like want to get those things done, but I also want to honor my commitment to like really giving it a full go and trying to like disconnect on Fridays. So it's been challenging. I've done a little bit of work on Fridays at some times, but I have had like much more like spacious days off. There was one Friday in particular where I like didn't even leave the house, and then I was like, this isn't what I envisioned for this. Like, why am I doing this? Like, I wasn't really like working, working, but I was doing a few things here and there, and then I was doing things around the house, and I was like, but this still isn't like the vibe, you know? And so then the following Thursday, I like made it a point to like go to the gym, like get a workout, and then run some errands and go shopping or get my nails done, like actually go out and like live and just be in the world. That's kind of more how I envisioned the Fridays, or like going to the beach, or like sitting by the pool reading my book. So I'm working on it, I'm trying to adapt. It's definitely— it's a big adjustment to take an entire weekday off of your calendar. So we'll see. I'll keep updating you guys on how it goes and where I land with that. And if I like it or if I'm going to nix it or if I'll turn it into like a half day, I don't know yet. We'll see. But I'm also kind of like trying to adapt again, like I said, the, what I think is a realistic workload for the middle of the week, because maybe if I just like trim it down, then it won't feel overwhelming Monday to Thursday. And I just kind of need to reduce my workload overall in order to make space for it. I don't know. Just wanted to update you guys honestly on how that's going. I am also reading fiction romance novels again, which I go, I go through phases with it. Like sometimes I'm really into it and I'll read like 3 or 4 and then I'll go through a season of like not reading books or reading more like, uh, personal development things or, you know, consuming audiobooks where I'm actually like learning or whatever. But I am in a phase. I am back into a romance novel phase. I feel like that's summer, you know, the, the beach reads, the easy beach reads. So I just read Just for Summer by Abby Jimenez, and now I am reading This Summer Will Be Different by Carly Fortune. They're— they've both been really good so far. I haven't finished the second one, but they're both really good. And then next up, I already got this one, so this is the one I'm going to read next, is Happy Place by Emily Henry, which I feel like I've seen a lot of people post about. I don't know, I'm not a book girly, like, meaning like I'm not super like in the know of like all the books that, you know, not all the smut and like all the books that the girlies are reading, but I do love some occasionally here and there. Um, so that's what I'm reading if you guys want to join and jump on the romance novel train. Another change for us recently has been that Jaime has not been working at home with me since back in April when I left for Egypt. So that shifted our dynamic a ton because since then he's been working 5 days a week either in the office or at the brokerage. And so that was just like a major change because I was so used to him working from home with me and, you know, sharing a lot of the responsibilities in terms of like dog walking and dishes and laundry and like, you know, cleaning up the house and making meals and like all of that stuff. Like we shared that so much more. And so I got so many things added to my schedule of, you know, 2 dog walks a day, um, like making lunch and cleaning up the kitchen and doing the laundry and emptying the dishwasher. And obviously he can still help with that stuff when he's home from work, but it's just like when you are the only person that's home throughout the week, you kind of just have more shit that you have to do. And our dog, it requires a lot of exercise and he needs to get his steps and he needs to play. And so it's not a dog where we can just like take him for one walk. He gets 4 walks a day. So I mean, the workload on this dog is just like wild. Like that's a lot of time. That's a lot of time that you have to block for in your life. And then on top of that, removing Fridays from my work schedule, I'm just like, Holy shit. Like, how do I, how do I do this actually? Um, and I'm also, you know, wanting to be in the gym and, and weightlifting 3 times a week. And, and so I've added a lot of things to my plate while simultaneously trying to reduce the amount of days that I'm working. And all of that together has just kind of, I've had a few, I've had a few little mini breakdowns where I'm like, I don't know how I'm ever gonna like be a mom or like, like what the fuck? Like I can't even like take care of myself. Like I forgot to eat the other day. Like, I have all this shit to do. I don't have time to clean up the kitchen. We haven't done laundry in a week and a half. Like, this shit's dirty. Like, oh my God. So yeah, that's just the, the real real of that, of like, dude, it's, it's hard. Like, working— and I, I can't even like complain because so many people work full-time jobs or are single moms or have situations that are so much more complex and challenging. 100%. Like, this is for sure diva status of me to even like mention this. But I also think there's, you know, an image that's sometimes painted in this online space where when you work for yourself, you know, everything is just like so easy all the time and perfect and there's no challenges. So that's just like a real reel of what that's been looking like in the behind the scenes of our life, right? Our schedules have changed. I've taken on a lot more. I'm trying to work less, but it's like a struggle. So yeah. So that's kind of just where we're at. It's definitely challenged me in my organization and my efficiency and scheduling and, and all of that. So those are the life updates. Okay. So let's get into the business updates. What has gone on in the month of July? I had to sit down and really be like, actually, what the fuck happened this month? Because like I said, I feel like it went so fast. It was just a blink of an eye. And I'm like, wait, did I do anything? I don't even know what happened this month. So I kind of had to go back in my calendar and look and be like, What is happening in the business or what did we do this month? But just what I just did the other day was I mailed all of the gifts for my top tier mastermind clients. I love giving them gifts and little personalized cards and mailing them all over the world. It's just like a fun thing that I get to do. And it's so crazy that we can send packages all the way to Australia. Like what? Like I can write a card, put it in a box with a bunch of goodies and drop it off and it'll land somewhere in Australia. Like, this is like— have you ever had one of those moments where like something that is so basic just kind of blows your mind and you're like, wait, but that's actually crazy? Like, if you guys saw the full moon this month, oh my gosh, Jaime and I were driving home from dinner one night and he's driving the car and I'm like, and he's like, what? And he freaks out and I'm like, It's the moon! Raise your hand if you are that girl that every time there's a full moon you're like, oh my God, look at the moon! But like, my— I literally was like gasping for air when I saw it because it was so powerful. I don't know, it was like so bright and glowing and so perfect. And I don't know, when you see like a perfect full moon, it's pretty stunning. It's pretty It's pretty epic. And then we had this whole conversation where I was like, can you believe that that is like just like a planet just like suspended in the sky? Like, obviously it's not a planet, it's a moon, but it's like, that's just like a rock like floating. And then we're on another rock that's like kind of nearby, also just like floating. Like, what? I don't know, sometimes my brain goes to these like places and I'm like, wow, this is wild. So anyway, that's how I felt when I was sending my packages out to Australia. I'm like, this This is crazy. But, um, some other fun things I decided this month— well, a handful of my clients actually, and some of my industry friends like in the coaching space, and some of my peers are all going to a live event in Denver in August. So I decided that I'm going to be doing that. I got my flights and everything. So if you are also a female entrepreneur or a coach and you'd like to come and you're interested in going to like conference kind of live event thing with a bunch of other people in the space, um, send me a DM on Instagram saying event and I'll send you all the details, um, and you can come along. I have an affiliate link because, um, the event host is someone that I love and I really believe in, in her work, and she's so much fun, and I think it's going to be awesome. So yeah, just shoot me a message, I'll share with you my little affiliate link if you want to come. A bunch of my clients are going to be there, a bunch of my friends. It's going to be a really good time. And then another thing that happened this month— well, this actually happened in June, but I've just been like, so much has been going on that I just got around to celebrating it this month. But we celebrated the business contracting $150,000 in sales for the month of June, which is crazy. That was a really fun thing to celebrate. And I feel like certain milestones, like, I, I've just kind of been letting them pass by lately, and I'm not doing like as much of like the financial milestones and like sharing all the time. And, and that has been partially intentional, but also has just been like, I'm so in my business that I have just kind of been, I don't know, not as much on socials, I guess, this year. We've talked kind of a lot about my soft CEO era and I'm producing less content and just trying to make it, you know, more intentional and quality and showing up when I really want to instead of trying to force this kind of like output. So anyways, I feel like I haven't really been sharing as much of that kind of stuff, but June was obviously a big month and it was really exciting. So I was like, I have to make time to celebrate these things because it is important even just for yourself of anchoring in. The, the energy and taking a moment to pause and celebrate and be proud of yourself. And yeah, just kind of mark the moment. And so I got myself a little cake, I bought myself some flowers and Prosecco, and Jaime took some cute photos of me with the cake and stuff. And maybe I'll post that on Instagram eventually, I don't know. Um, but yeah, so that was fun. That was like a little celebration, and I really just kind of did it like to mark the moment for myself, like I said, because I, I find sometimes it's easy to bypass certain accomplishments or wins and things and really wanting to make an intentional effort to be like, no, let's pause for a second and let's honor and recognize and celebrate and just like be so proud of ourselves for that. So that was that. Um, another update, Abundant and Ambitious 6.0 has just ended. That also happened the other day. So another round of A&A in the books. It's pretty crazy that we've done 6 rounds of that mastermind already. That's my business mastermind for early and aspiring entrepreneurs, like beginner business owners. And it feels like it simultaneously feels like just the other day that I started that mastermind, but also so long ago because the version of me who built that and when I started it was just life and business and everything was in such a different place. I was still living in Spain. Like, it's crazy like how time just freaking flies. But this past group in A&A was so special. The, the women were amazing. We had such a fun time. Like, our calls were always so deep. Like, they asked the best questions. We would sit on our hot seat calls every Tuesday for like over 2 hours. Just, they had so many good questions, and we would just go deep into all these topics. And yeah, it was just a really beautiful round. So, um, it was bittersweet seeing that close, but But we're of course going to open it up again. So doors are going to open again at the end of summer, so in September. So if you're interested, if you've been thinking about it, if you want to get support in that way, if you are an early or aspiring business owner, this is anyone who's made $0 up to around $4,000 to $5,000 a month in your business and you just want some gas on the fire, then that's a great place to get started. You can get on the waitlist. We can link it in the show notes for you guys. You can also probably find it at the link in my bio on Instagram. Instagram. And you can always, of course, find it on my website, www.samanthadaly.com. I think we also have a fun little automation set up on Instagram. If you DM me A&A, like A and then the and symbol and then A, um, it'll send you some information and take you directly to the page where you can read all about it. So if you are interested, that's what's happening. It'll open again in September. Speaking of A&A, another, I guess, business update that happened in July, we reopened the Alumni Circle, which is um, something that I used to do and then we stopped doing it for a while and now it's reopened. So if you've ever been a part of Abundant and Ambitious already, then this is an opportunity for you to plug into small group business mentorship with me until the end of this year. So we've just reopened it. It's going to close at the end of July, so just a small window if you want to get in now. But you'll have monthly hot seat coaching with me in a really small group. And then we're also doing live hypno breathwork with Susie, who's, you of course probably know her. She's my friend, trusted facilitator. She does the hypno breathwork on all of my retreats. And yeah, they'll just be like group support, bonus workshops, and yeah, our group chat and small group, like more intimate coaching. So it's not a program per se. So there's not going to be all kinds of like new content and trainings and homework and shit you need to like consume.. It's not to overwhelm you. It's really more so just like this small tight-knit community of women who have all been through Abundant and Ambitious at some point, and they really just wanna put their heads down, get to work, focus on implementing and integrating what they've learned and, and what they already know. And then of course kind of get that like strategy and mindset support from me for the lowest cost ever available, um, and have the structure to continue succeeding and upleveling for the rest of 2024. So if you're a past ANA girly and you missed the memo, just come jump in. There's still time. If you're listening to this in real time, you can DM me alumni and I'll help you get added to the group before we close it at the end of this month. All right, you guys, I think that's it. I didn't really have a lot of business updates this month. Like, things have just kind of been like cruising and, you know, we're on the path. And I don't know, I, I feel really good. I'm still loving my soft CEO era. I did some posts on my Instagram recently, kind of like explaining this era of my business. We obviously did a podcast episode about it too, but it's just kind of a more updated perspective of how I'm feeling about being in this soft CEO era and kind of what it really means. So if you miss those posts, um, go check that, scroll just a little bit on my Instagram, they're recent, um, and check them out because I kind of share some of my biggest insights of what it really means to be in this era, what it's helped me with, the biggest shifts that have happened, um, and how it's impacted my income and all kinds of other stuff. So go check those out on my page. I love you guys so much. Thanks for tuning into the podcast. We will talk to you all very soon. I love you and we'll see you next week.
