Quantum Leaps, Following Your Passion & Starting an Online Business
22 Sept 2021 · 81 min
In this episode of the Makeshift Happen podcast, host Samantha Daly introduces guest Samantha Smith (aka Sam) and her business partner Jaz Boree. Sam shares her unconventional journey from teaching English in Spain to launching a full‑time life‑and‑mindset coaching business that hit six figures in a year. The conversation weaves together themes of "quantum leaps" – taking massive, self‑trust‑driven actions before feeling fully ready – and the "opening the door" mindset, where a small initial step unlocks a flood of opportunities. Sam explains how the COVID‑19 lockdown became a catalyst for quitting her corporate job, how she cultivated self‑trust through incremental acts, and why embracing feminine energy and the art of receiving are essential for sustainable growth. Practical tactics are discussed, including Instagram Story selling frameworks (the "Sold Out Stories" system), content‑creation habits, overcoming creative blocks, and handling imposter syndrome. The episode also promotes a free masterclass on building a 6‑figure business, a limited‑time offer for live attendees, a listener‑of‑the‑month cash giveaway, and a community‑building call‑to‑action for audience engagement. Additionally, Sam delves into deeper mindset work, contrasting self‑trust with self‑abandonment, exploring intuition, love versus fear decision‑making, and the unique challenges women face when making bold entrepreneurial leaps.

What's up guys, welcome back to the podcast. Oh my God, do I have a juicy freaking episode for you today. I'm going to try to make this quick so that we can dive right in because you do not want to miss this episode. It is such a good conversation that I had with my good friend and business partner Jaz Boree. So I actually had the honor of jumping inside of one of her coaching programs and doing a guest kind of expander session with her women inside of that program. And we talked about so many good things. We got into kind of, you know, like my journey of how I got to where I am now and how the, the real story behind how I was actually able to quit my job. And then, you know, we talked a lot about like doing something that you're passionate about and getting started before you're actually an expert and quantum leaping and how to do that. And my theory behind what I call opening the door first. Further and kind of creating that, uh, that experience where the floodgates open and the abundance starts rushing in and the clients start rushing in and it really all starts kind of happening for you. We also talk about creative ruts and coming up with content and engagement and how to realistically tap into your feminine energy but in like a practical sense. So I answer some questions from the women in the audience in that group and I give some tips that I would give to my own clients around, you know, how to actually do this, how to practice the art of receiving. We also talk about cultivating a deeper level of self-trust and how to do that, and also the why behind we have so much self-doubt and mistrust in ourselves. And, you know, feeling the fear and doing it anyway and really going after your goals and your dreams and your big ambitions in life. So it's a really, really great conversation. I know you guys are going to love it, but quickly before we jump in, there's a free masterclass happening this Sunday.

Happen.
All right. So speaking of, this is Samantha Smith. Please introduce yourself, my love.
Thank you. I always get like nervous when I have to introduce myself. It's so bizarre. I feel like that's what happens when you're like multi-passionate and like do so many different things. You're like, how do I define myself in this small space of time. Um, but I guess in a nutshell, um, if you all are here with Jazz, you're probably into astrology in some way, shape, or form. So I'm a classic Sagittarius. You'll probably see that like come out in my story as like Jazz kind of, um, gets into, yeah, like how I got here and where I am. But I quit my corporate job, or I guess I didn't even accept the corporate job. I rejected my corporate job after graduating university to move to Spain. Because when I was studying in Spain, I met a guy, decided to just fuck everything else in my life and move back and be like, we'll just see what happens. So that's my, my Sagittarius heart, just like really running wild with the wind and chasing after my dreams and packing my life into a bag and moving to a foreign country. So I'm meeting you all today from Spain. I've been here for about 5 years, well, almost 6 years now at this point. Um, and I'm a life and mindset coach. I work with a lot of my clients on career, relationships, building businesses. A lot of, as Jess said, like we echo each other a lot and a lot of the concepts and things that we talk about and cover. Um, so that's kind of what I do for work. I've been full-time in my coaching business since 2020. So right around a couple months into the pandemic was when I left my job teaching English here in Spain and decided to go full-time in my business. So it's been, yeah, a little over a year now of just working for myself and it's been so incredible. And I feel like it's been— I don't know, I feel like this has been my whole life. Like, I don't know about you, Jazz, but I like can't even really remember, you know, what life was like before just doing this work that I'm so passionate about full-time. Um, so yeah, that's a little background on me and where I'm from. And well, I'm from the States, you can probably tell from my accent, you know.
No, I think that's really interesting what you said just then of like it's funny that you can't really remember like what your life was like beforehand. And I think that that's such a powerful piece to talk to because I do, I do totally resonate with that. I think that for me it was really about like stepping into like my, like into my purpose, into my fullest alignment. And when you start to live your life that way, it's like, I don't know, for me, like I didn't even really have any— it's not that I like regret my life before or felt like I wasted time or like anything like that, but it does really feel like a distant memory. And I guess I put that down to like when you start to live in alignment with your like true essence and you're really in this space of like contributing to society in a positive way, and everything you do is, you know, we're always learning and there's always new ways to get into alignment, things that need to be released and all those sorts of things. But you know, work is in our career and our paychecks are such a massive part of our lives whether you're working for yourself or somebody else, that when that shifts into something so aligned, it's like, it's just like you can't even remember what your life was like beforehand. And I think it's that pure alignment. Would you say like that's how it was for you, or do you feel differently?
Okay, so I have something I think you're really gonna love, and your business is gonna love it even more. Do you want to steal the strategy I've been using to seduce premium buyers and sell out my offers on Instagram stories? Chances I'm sure you're already posting, you're already making sales, but if your Instagram stories aren't working as hard as you are, you're leaving money on the table. Sold Out Stories is going to teach you exactly how to change that so that you can sell out any offer at any price point. And even high-caliber coaches miss this because selling on stories isn't about how much you post or how frequently you show up face to camera. It's about psychological sequencing and the way you're posting right now might be giving the premium buyers in your audience the ick. Documenting your day and hoping it builds trust, posting look-at-me content and calling it authority, sharing client wins as soon as they drop in instead of strategically weaving them into a story selling sequence designed to drive demand and convert sales. We both know that you're not here to learn how to show up more. You're here because you know your content could be converting faster and more effectively. Sold Out Stories is gonna give you 5 high-converting story selling frameworks built specifically for premium buyer psychology. Inside, you'll get over 6 hours of deep dive video trainings, real IG story breakdowns, and live walkthroughs that show you exactly how to elevate your slides from authority building all the way to offer flow in less than 10 slides. My clients have already been using these frameworks to pull 5-figure sales days while posting less. One client generated 14 premium leads from a single story sequence. Another sold out her event in under 6 hours with just 8 strategic story slides. No sales calls, no paid ads, just the right frameworks. You'll walk away knowing how to sequence for desire, transition into your offer seamlessly, and sell daily without ever feeling salesy. You already know your offer is incredible, so now it's just time for your stories to sell it like it is. Grab Sold Out Stories today and turn 10 slides or less into your highest converting content. Let's make your next story your most profitable one yet. Click the link in the show notes below and I'll see you inside.
I, I definitely feel that. Like, I sometimes— I like waking up in the morning, for example. Like, I have to remind myself, I have to bring forth the memory of how awful it was to wake up in the morning when I was not in this place, when I like was not in alignment, when I was not doing something that I loved and something that I was passionate about, when I was not in control of my day and my life and my income potential, right? So those are like moments where I'm able to like really see the contrast of like, wow, like life and just like my energy in general was so much different when I was living for somebody else. Like when I was having to get up at a certain time because I was on somebody else's schedule, I had to be at some place for somebody else and do some work that wasn't super inspiring or exciting to me necessarily and kind of live my whole day for all these other people and then come home and be exhausted and not even really have like the energy reserves to live for myself. Like that feels like another world because I've moved so far in the other direction now. And like that's such a massive blessing. But if you know, for anybody here that may still be in that space, where you're not fully in control of your work or your income potential or your day-to-day just yet, like knowing and trusting that that is available for you in the first place. And you know, like Jaz calls these expander sessions and she's obviously, if you're here in her program, she's obviously a massive expander for you already. But being able to witness other people who are doing that and allowing that to be a sense of proof for you that it's possible, right? Rather than, oh, I'm so jealous. Look at all these other people that have already figured it out, or they're farther ahead of me, or, you know, they've done this, that, or the other thing and they get to do whatever they want with their day, which of course also comes with its challenges for sure. But looking at those people around you and using that as like fuel to your fire of understanding that it's possible for you too. You know, there's nothing inherently different or better or special about those people than you and what you're doing and what the gifts that you have to bring to the world and what you're trying to create. You know, so that opportunity is there for you as well. So anyway, long answer, but I see the distinction the most when I actually am able to reflect and think about like how I felt before now and then. And I'm like, wow, so, so, so, so different. But I have to actively remind myself of that or else I can forget, you know? Yeah, I could wake up in this reality and find things to be irritated by or to be unhappy with or to feel not enough.
100%. I totally agree. And I think it does come down to that. Like, it's funny, I guess we, we can sit here in hindsight and I think, you know, when you do have the thing that you want, we can lose sight of like what, where we've come from. And I love that, you know, that idea of like, you know, you feel it really in the mornings where you're like, oh, like I actually don't have to. And I, I'm exactly the same. Like, I don't talk to clients until like earliest like 10 AM maybe. Like, I think I have one client that I see at 10 AM. So, um, yeah, I think finding those sacred spaces and that remembrance that in every single part of your journey—
this is what I'm kind of hearing—
is like in every single part of your journey, particularly with our career, we can always say, well, I want this, well, I want this, well, I want this. And what I'm also hearing is like, that doesn't necessarily change, like, even when you get the thing. And I will totally echo that, but I think it is really important to understand that like, where you were a year ago, you probably don't— you probably may still have some of the same stuff going on, but I wonder, is there any way that you've grown? And that same thing will happen as well in business. So talk to me about— I wanna I want to really go into, okay, so you're in Spain, you're teaching English, you then start this business. How did it go? Like, how did you go from girl going to, you know, pursue hot Spanish guy in Madrid to girl with hot Spanish boyfriend having her own business? Like what? Like why this work? How did that come? How did that come to be?
Yeah, I like my story for how I ended up in my business is, is, I mean, I don't think it's necessarily interesting, but that's the word that's coming to mind just because I think it was sort of like this roundabout thing that happened. You all are probably more intentional, at least at this phase of like wanting to create something and desiring to make your passion your paycheck and build a business of some sort. In the beginning, I didn't have that. I didn't have that lineup of like, I'm going to do this and then this and then this, and that's how I'm going to create this business and I'm going to become a coach and then I'm going to make money doing that. I didn't have the foresight to even really know that that was available to me. So the way that I started this business was just first of all, being on my own personal development journey. We teach the things that we most need to learn. We take our mess and we turn it into our message. You know, we take our struggles and we, we turn it into something that we can share to help other people along and to kind of speed up the process for them, right? Everybody is kind of like doing that in some way, shape, or form. You've been through something and from that you've learned a lesson or you've created some sort of discovery and you're like, other people need this, you know, like this could really be helpful to other people. So that's the same thing that happened with me when I moved to Spain. I was like right out of college and I wanted to like lose weight and I was really unhappy with my body image and I was forcing myself to work out a ton and I had weird like restrictive binge patterns with food. And so my personal development journey, the entry point for me was really through like body image and trying to learn how to love myself better instead of like hating myself into a version of myself that I thought was like good enough. And so that was the place from which I reconnected with yoga. I started listening to podcasts, I was reading books. And then I opened up this whole new world, as you do, whether it's with astrology or tarot or human design or personal development of some sort. It's like you open it and it's like the string that just keeps coming out of the magician's hat. You're like, "Oh my God, oh my God, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa." And it just keeps coming and you're like, "Holy fuck, this is so insane and so amazing." and then you— it changes your life in some way and you want to share that with other people. So that was very much so my story. So I started just working on myself. And then I have always loved to write. I like have been in some way, shape, or form like a writer, I guess you could say, since I was a child, always writing short stories, poems, songs, just always writing, writing, writing. So my natural instinct was, okay, I need to like write about this. I want to share about this. So I started like a blog and I was, you know, sharing things that I was learning about mindset and different like health healthy recipes. And then I started sharing a little bit more on Instagram and doing the long caption thing where I would share my heart in a caption or something. But I still didn't know that that was going to be a business. I didn't have the intention of like, okay, when's the money coming? And that was probably for my own best good because like when we start to worry about where's the money going to come from, we sabotage, we get in the way, right? As you probably notice, you know, when you're doing something with the hope of like, okay, where's the return? Then you're just waiting for the return on the energy that you've put in. So that was probably like for my highest good that I didn't have that foresight yet. But yeah, eventually, like I did my yoga teacher training, which really like developed my spiritual practice and my understanding of meditation and Then I discovered that I could become certified as a life coach online. And so I did a certification program. And then, you know, things started connecting and I started hearing about the coaching industry through the podcasts and things that I was listening to. And I was like, wow, you know, like maybe this could be a thing, you know, like I just discovered it and was like, okay, maybe I'll go, maybe I'll try that. Maybe I'll go in that direction. And so I had been writing this ebook book, uh, for a while. And my intention was originally that I was just going to, you know, sell the ebook for like a low price and just, you know, whoever wanted to buy it would buy it and hopefully they would learn something from it. And then I was like, I feel like this ebook could be so much more powerful if it was paired with coaching, with some one-on-one conversation to guide even further what they're learning inside of this kind of like manual, this mindset guide that I've created and pair that with some actual one-on-one conversation alongside of it. So that's how like my very first coaching offer, I guess you could say, was born, was I wrote this whole ebook and then I was like, this feels like a waste if I just like throw it up on Instagram and 5 people buy it and then everybody forgets about it forevermore. So I did that. I paired it with one-on-one coaching and I created my first kind of like offer. And then from there, you know, I kept learning and evolving and I hired a business coach and then, you know, I got more ideas of how I could create more programs and courses and market myself better. And that's kind of like where everything took off. So yeah, that's the story of how I got here. It was like unintentional, but I'm so grateful for the way that it unfolded.

I love your story because I think it really comes back to this real like home truth that I feel like, I mean, everyone in this course knows. How many times have I told you like, don't worry about the how, just concentrate on your why. The how comes, like the mindset coach, the, the coach part is serving a way deeper why of I want to help and serve people and I want to help them change their lives from the inside out, right? Like I don't know if that's your mission statement, but like whatever, right? You kind of get under this when you get under that, then you get to just be like, oh, this thing interests me, and that's intriguing to me, and all these things. Now, of course, like, we want to pick a modality, and I'm going to help you guys, like, monetize that. And, and so you don't have to kind of, like, fall your way through, because I was very, very similar. I thought I was going to be an interior designer, and then I thought I was going to be an astrologer only, and that was the only thing I was ever going to do. And then you know, I decided, okay, I'll become a coach. And now even looking at like becoming a hypnotherapist, it's like, I don't know, I'm just going off the things that inspire me and that excite me, right? And I really hear that in, in your story, Sam, is just like this idea of like, it's, it's just was so bred out of curiosity, out of passion, out of overcoming your own pain. Right? And this is probably something I haven't driven home enough with you guys, is like, when I say your pain is your power— I say this all the fucking time— I truly mean it. Like, if you can overcome something, like, what have you overcome? What have you overcome that you've been able to fix in your life that you enjoyed or was like really exciting and you just kind of got lost in that thing? Could you teach other people that? Could you share other people share with other people that story, that thing? What could you build just purely from passion, right? And then, like you said, I love how you said like the, the idea of like not worrying about the money. Like you said something really powerful, like we kind of can start sabotaging from there, right? And that's why I say like, don't worry about the house. Like I can tell you how to set up a website, I can tell you how to set up an email list. I can tell you how to pick branding colors. I can tell you that in literally 5 minutes, right? Like, that's like not a secret, and you probably Google it too, right? Like, that's not important information, really. Like, but it's this idea of like, how do you let that be in true authenticity? How do you let that organically happen, but, and, and honor yourself at the same time? Because I think that's how you get, get alignment, right, is when you just start to really speak from your own experience. And I just really hear that in your story because from there, I mean, talk to us about making that quantum leap, deciding, okay, I'm a life coach, okay, I have this ebook and this program. And I remember you talking to me about the program and like we were both kind of like talking about how we were gonna do things. I really remember, I think it was like just after, or maybe just whilst we were teaching Cosmic Cash, but I, I remember having these conversations with you, and I think it's really powerful, and I'd love for you to share, like, how was that kind of deciding, okay, I'm going to take this leap? Like, I'd love for you to be as candid as possible because I think a lot of people say, well, I don't have the money, I don't have the enough followers, I don't have enough this, that, the other. And I just would love, like, what were the stories that came up for you, and maybe how did you overcome them?
Yeah, for sure. One thing I just want to piggyback off of what you said, of like, what, what is, what is some pain that you're experiencing or that you have experienced that you've overcome, and how can you share that? Also, just like understanding that you don't have to like be the poster child for the recovery of some certain thing in order to be able to teach people, right? So you don't even have to be fully like out of the woods yet with whatever it is that you're learning or moving through in order to be in an appropriate place to start to guide others and teach others. Because you're only ever guiding the people that are a few steps behind you, right? So if you're just like starting out learning about, you know, let's say, let's just use like tarot as an example or astrology. Right? Like, I'm sure, Jazz, when you were starting, you're well aware that there are people that have a lot more experience and a lot more expertise and like a lot more knowledge around those modalities. But you can't wait until you're in that place to start, because there's people that don't know jack shit about tarot or astrology, and they actually don't need the person that is the highest level of like expertise in that area because it's too far of a reach for them. Like, if you don't even know your sun sign and you go to like the greatest astrologer on the planet and they start talking to you about like all these other things, nodes and transitory things and weird shit in the sky, that you're like, you're just lost. Like, that you don't even connect with that, that person, right? So understanding there's someone that needs you at the level that you're at because you're the entry point for them. You are the door for somebody to enter into that world, and they need your door to be open. Because although there may be a thousand other doors that are already open, those doors are too far out of reach, or they just don't feel aligned, right? The people that are gonna work with you are gonna work with you because of your energy and you as a person and your personality, right? Like, if I want to get an astrology reading, I could go go to a lot, I could search anybody on Instagram and go to anybody, but I would probably prefer to go to Jazz because I connect with her personality, I know her, I, or I feel like I know her, right? If I'm a follower online, I like her, yeah? So I'm gonna choose her not because she's the best of the best and knows absolutely everything and has the most level of certifications and expertises, but because I like her. Like, that's it.
Yeah, there's this thing in, um, sales which we're going to be talking about in a couple of weeks, of this idea of like literally like, know, and trust. Like, you— no one is gonna buy from you unless they feel like they like, know, and trust you. And to speak to this like on a real fucking level, I read Sam's chart and I didn't even know what Neptune, Uranus, or Pluto even fucking meant. But you best believe I didn't go there. I just didn't talk about it. Even when I first started doing readings and I was like apprenticing with my— I like almost kind of felt embarrassed to tell my teacher, who is like fucking old school, doesn't have Instagram, like, like prop— she used to like send me like booklets in the mail. I was like, baby, you can just email this shit to me. Like, like, she's so, so, so old school, right? And I was telling her like, oh, like I started reading, and I kind of like almost didn't want to tell her because I like— we had barely even moved through, like, we moved through all the signs and like Sun, Moon, and Rising and like a couple of personal planets. And I was reading for people, but I was charging like $88. I wasn't charging, you know, $125 like I was charging just before I retired my readings. You know, I was charging a really low price and I was only sharing what I knew. That's just what I was talking about. And I was doing master classes on Sun, Moon, and Rising, and I was you know, just doing these little things I was learning and I was so passionate about. And that's really just— I just want to give you like a real life example of like that. Like, I literally had no— I used to read— I mean, I still do sometimes, but like, I used to read tarot with my tarot book and be like— I also found that if I didn't read my tarot book, I would like go way over. But like, I just would start. You just have to start somewhere. So I just wanted to like give a real life example. But yes, talk to us about those, those stories that, that, that whole thing of you kind of stepping into your business and what you had to overcome.
Yeah. So I kind of made the decision in my mind that I wanted to go full-time in my business. And I was, so at the time I was teaching English in schools here, right? And so the school year ends here in June. And then we have summer break. So that year in 2020, I was like, I, my goal is to, at the end of the school year, to just like be done and not renew my contract with the school and just like go off on my own and see what happens. Knowing that if like shit hits the fan and it's like absolutely awful and I can't pay my bills and everything is horrible, I'll go find another teaching job. Like, I'll find another way to supplement my income. But I kind of had in my mind, like, this is my general plan for the year of 2020. And then, as we know, March rolled around. It was March 12th here. I think it was obviously later in Australia, but March 12th, 2020 rolled around here in Europe and everything just exploded and we were all sent home. And I remember really vividly, they were like, okay, you know, we're going to have 2 weeks off of school because of the coronavirus. And I was like skipping out of the school, like 2 full weeks to just work for myself and do my business. Like, this is going to be amazing. I could not wait to like set my schedule. And like wake up and do my morning routine and like be able to work for myself full-time as like a trial, right? I was like, wow, 2 weeks, like what a blessing. And then as you know, obviously 2 weeks turned into like 4 months of us being locked inside of our homes without being able to leave. So that like, just to be really real, like the pandemic fully was like a huge catalyst for me to be able to like in, when June came to, go full-time in my business, like without a shadow of a doubt in my mind. You know, had we not had so many months where I was stuck at home and, you know, basically just fully working for myself, kind of ramping up to that moment, um, it may have been different. It may have been more challenging. There may have been more fear or more doubt involved. Do I think that I would have still chose to walk away and to work for myself? Yes, because something that I have is just like so much faith in myself. And I think this is like, if you don't feel that way, like you have to start to cultivate a relationship of trusting yourself and just knowing that you've always got your back, right? And this may be something that's like innate within me. Like I read one of the, the Co-Star posts the other day, you know how they do like for each sign, like, whatever, like, this is how they get revenge, or this is their, like, toxic trait, or this is whatever. I read one of them that was like, basically it said like what they believe in, and next to Sagittarius was like themselves. And I was like, um, yeah, kind of. So this may be like more innate or natural for me than for other people, but I think it's a relationship of self-trust that we all can cultivate. And if you're wanting to create your own way in the world and pave your own path of how you make money and how you impact lives and doing something that you love, you're going to have to cultivate that relationship of self-trust. And it comes with practice. So the first thing that you do probably isn't going to be just quitting your job tomorrow and being like, "Well, let's see if I can trust myself." Right? It's like with any relationship in life, you trust on a small level, on an incremental level until it builds up. Right? To when you get in a relationship with someone, at first you just trust them to like not kill you on the first date, you know? And then you like trust them to show up when they say they're going to show up. And then you trust them that they're going to text you back. And you trust them that they're going to make the reservation. You trust them that they're not going to leave you or cheat on you. And then eventually you probably trust that person like with your life. You know, of like, I know that they've got me. So you just have to start to do the same thing with yourself, finding small ways to create trust in your relationship with yourself so that when the time comes, you can make that big massive leap, right? And I think this is an important thing to mention because as, as we're gonna talk about quantum leaps, I think quantum leaps happen when you take massive action and you jump into a whole new energetic level that you've never been in before. Before. But in order to make a leap like that, in order to take that jump, you have to like trust yourself, or else you'll always, you'll always find a reason to block that from happening, right? You'll always find an excuse, a fear, a doubt, or level of resistance to not jump into the new energetic level, right? And then you won't get to experience like what happens when you do that, right? So ways that I cultivated trust with myself just in my life over the past, you know, couple of years, over the past like decade, let's say, the first like big thing that I probably did was I went away to school. Like when I turned 18, I left my parents' house and I moved away to another state that was like 6 hours away. And I went off to university like all by myself to live by myself, to do school by myself. I didn't know anybody. Nobody from my high school was going to that university. So I was completely alone at a university of like over 60,000 students. It's like a massive university. And I just had to trust myself that I would be able to make friends and figure it out and find my way and organize my life, right? And then I trusted myself to study abroad and like take that jump and like go travel Europe and be in a foreign country again. I didn't know anybody that was going on that trip. I went all by myself. I lived with a host family, with a Spanish family that didn't speak any English. But I was like, I'm just gonna have to figure it out, right? But I'm gonna have my back and I'm gonna like trust myself to like figure it out. Like, I'll be okay. I'll be okay. And I was okay, right? So then for the bigger things like declining my corporate job offer and moving back to Spain and, you know, figuring out what might happen with this like very new relationship when everybody else would have been like, are you sure? That feels a little—
Feels like a lot.
It feels like a lot. You just finished your degree that costs like $160,000, but like, it's fine. Don't worry about it. Throw it in the trash can, move to a foreign country with your boyfriend that you met on Tinder.
Like, it's okay.
But because I had that relationship with myself, I knew that like, I will go there and I will figure it out. And if it's not right, and if it doesn't work out, and if I want to leave, I'll leave. And if I want to stay, I'll find a way to stay, right? So the same way that when I chose to leave my job and go full-time in my business, I knew in my head, like, I know that I can figure this out either way. If it works, I'll find a way to continue to keep making it work. And if it doesn't work, I will find a solution, right? Because I trust myself to know that I'll know what to do once I get myself in a pickle. I'll be like, okay, got to figure this out. Okay, apply for a job. Let's go do this. Let's supplement our income. Victoria Ward, right? Like, you, you, you can figure stuff out, but you sometimes just forget that you are so smart and so resourceful and that you have that option, right? We view these things when we're choosing to take a leap or not, we're like, one answer is right and one answer is wrong, and oh my god, like, I gotta pick the right one or else I'll I'll be totally screwed and everything will be ruined if I— and then we get so overwhelmed of like, should I quit? Should I not quit? Should I do this? Should I not do this? Is this the right niche? Is this the right niche? And you're just like looking at these two things like one is right and the other is wrong. And basically it's like a gun to my head and I don't know which, I don't know which option to choose. There's no gun to your head with any decision that you're making, any option that you have. Like You'll figure it out either way. Whatever you choose, you'll figure it out. That's like the thing that you need to know. That's the thing that you need to trust is you're smart enough, you're resourceful enough, you're supported enough in your life to figure it the fuck out no matter what happens. That's the thing that's going to allow you to take those, those types of leaps. Is that unwavering sense of self-trust. So in terms of, yeah, getting yourself to a place where you even can make a decision to put yourself in a position to quantum leap, that's like the first most main important ingredient.
I totally agree. And I, and I think as well, if you guys have questions, if you want to pop them in the chat, definitely do that. If you want to like come on and ask the question, just raise your hand and um, I'll go through everybody. Definitely start doing that whilst I'm talking now. Um, I totally agree, and I think— and I even just like, as you're speaking, I'm realizing like that we had that mindset in common. I've always believed— I don't know if I told this story here or where the fuck I said this, but it's like, I will remember like my, my parents have like a caravan on like a river, and my dad has a boat, and everyone like water skis, and I don't want to fucking do that. I'm not like— we don't— I'm not outdoorsy. Like, we're not doing that. Like, this is not me. But my dad was like, just go on the kneeboard. And I was like, I've never fucking kneeboarded before. I'm not interested in fucking kneeboarding. But he's like, just fucking just do it. Like, everyone's doing it. I'm like, okay, whatever. Never kneeboarded in my fucking life. In my head, I'm like, I'm not falling off. Like, I'm not falling off. Like, I'm just not falling off. Like, it's just not happening. Like, that's just not my story. That's— I'm not falling off. I never kneeboarded in my life, didn't fall off because I was like, I'm not falling off.
I don't—
I bet whilst I was on there, I was not taking risks. I was not having fun. I was like, we are not falling, right? But it's that mindset I had the same mindset when I entered into my business. I was like, it's gonna work out. And I even remember, like, my parents were not supportive of me starting my business in the middle of the pandemic to go and be an astrologer online. They're like, are you fucking insane? Like, is there literally something wrong with you? Like, are you okay?
And are you okay?
Like, literally, that— my mom especially. And she just was telling me all these things, all these things, and I just was like Honestly, like, you're trying to scare me right now. And I've actually had that fear before, you know, and I've had to overcome it. But I was like, I'm someone who always lands on my feet. I was like, I'll be fine. I was lucky that I was saving for a house with a boyfriend that I had. We didn't work out. Thank fucking God I didn't buy that house. So I had a beautiful lump sum sitting there. Not that I really used it anyway, but that made me feel safe enough to go, okay, my mom's fear is I won't have money. Hey, Mom, I've got this money. Don't worry about it. So even if I didn't make a sale for a year, I'd be fine. Turns out everything popped off like a month, not even a month after I, I went full time. And so it's that idea.
Let's talk about that for a second because that's like what happens when you make the quantum leap. This is kind of like what I call like opening the door further is like right now you have the door kind of like cracked open and you can like see the potential, you can see like the vision of like possibly where you're going. What happens when you like fucking open the door and you just like rip it off the hinges? It's like all that stuff comes flooding towards you, you like open the floodgates. And like that's fully what happened for Jazz, that's fully what happened for me, like I know that's what happened for so many people. And it goes, it happens continuously in different ways. Like I've been talking about this a lot recently in terms of investing in your yourself. This year I made like a huge, like the biggest investment I've ever made in like a business mastermind. It was a large amount of money. And as soon as I like put that money down, I was like, you know what, I'm going to pay in full. I'm going to be my own best client. I'm going to pay how I want my people to pay me. Like boom, here you go. Let's do this. I'm ready. Less than 30 days later, I hit my first $30,000 month, which was like a huge milestone in my business that I not even gotten close to touching before. But it's because I ripped that door off the hinges. I was like, fuck it, I'm ready. Like, let's go. I'm here. I'm doing it. And that's the same when you fully step into your business. Like, I'm sure you saw this, Jazz. Like, you had clients, you were doing readings, you were creating programs, you were doing things before you left your job. But then when you left your job, it was like the floodgates opened and like everything just came rushing because you're—
it was even when I made that decision. Like, like, so I had never done a course. I hadn't even finished my coaching certification. And Sam, I remember you sent me like 25 voice notes and you were like, I have this idea for this course, I think it'd be really cool. It's called— let's— like, it's about money and I think it'd be really cool. And then we jumped on a call and I was like, let's call it CosmiCash. And that was my first course that I did. I did that with Sam. And then that was in August. And then I quit my job. Well, I left my job August 11th. And the September I was messaging Abbey Chatfield thinking she would never see my DM. She's got like 300,000 followers. And I was like, what's your sun, moon, and rising? And so she told me and she was like, do you want to come on my million listener podcast. I was like, that would be lovely, that would be really nice. And I remember, like, I probably had been full-time in my business, I don't know, 6 weeks, something like that. Think, yeah, was I qualified to go and share all the— I, I was qualified, of course I was. But like, then that happened, and then I had a massive influx of clients reading 8, 9 hours a day, 5, 6 days a week, right? Like, my business actually wasn't set up to support that. And so I actually think that if you're going to worry about anything, worry about your success. This is why I talk to you guys about preparing for your good, right? When we talk about this, and we're going to talk about money management, things like that a little bit later on, particularly in your business, it's so important. And then Similar thing happened with me. I doubled my highest income month 2 months after I hired Addison. I didn't know if I could afford Addison. I was right on that cusp of being able to afford her, and I was like, but if I don't take this leap, like, I'm at that point, like, I gotta— like, it's not gonna grow unless I have someone on my team. And yeah, I think it was within 6 weeks, probably. I had her in the April, and I think the May was the year— was the end of May was the month that we did, I think we did $25,000 that month, and that was double the highest of last, the last highest month. So this is what I'm saying about quantum leaps is they seem really fucking scary and you'll know when you're at that edge. It's when you're at the edge, you'll, you start to go, fuck, I, I can't grow because of this. That's when you make the leap. So I love that. I just wanted to like, again, hone that in. Um, well, okay.
Just to be like, also to be, I'll take questions in a second, but just to echo you, Jazz, a super similar thing happened to me when I was on Georgie Stevenson's podcast. Like she obviously has like a ton of followers too. And that happened this exact month that we went into quarantine. And I started like digging into my business and being like, okay, like I got to make something of this because I only have a couple of weeks and I really want to like make this explode so that I can leave my job in June. And then like that episode went live and like the same thing happened. So yeah. Also just like on a real note, like promote yourself.
Like, yeah, and this is why I've created this community, because it's through— this is how I started. Someone like Maddie Bolch, Missy Mitchell, Sam and I, you know, like, we— like, Sam was one of the first guests that I had on my podcast. These people that you're surrounded with right now will be the people that you collaborate with. These are the people where you guys will start integrating your audiences. A lot of you guys, and maybe not a lot of you guys, but I know even some of you guys probably found me through Sam. Right? And vice versa, people are like, we— this is how you start to grow and get that sense of community. So this is why a course like this is so powerful. Okay, Ollie, unmute, my love. What is your beautiful question? I'm gonna pin you as well so everyone can see you.
Hello, Sam. I'm having a little bit of a fangirl moment because I have been consuming your content for such a long time, but I've never done, like, never been able to, like, interact with you face to face, so I'm loving this. Um, I actually, because I have consumed so much of your content, I was really struggling to like think of a question. Um, but I'm gonna ask something a little bit off topic just because I do feel like I know you.
Um, I—
your content game, girl, is like, like supremo. And I just, I am someone who has a following that I'm trying to re-engage, um, but I think I'm coming up against things like lack of creativity, you know, trying to be consistent, and a little bit of imposter syndrome as well. Um, can you speak to any of those things or just anything around sort of how you show up online?
Yeah, for sure. Well, just to be like completely honest, I think like I also struggle a lot with feeling creative blocks. And this happens the most for me when I, when I don't have space to actually just live. So like when I'm not living, let's say, like I'm not just doing things for the sake of doing them. And you know, like it's weird because before, like before you ever created something for the purpose of like making content, like, life was like a lot different for some reason when you think about it. Like, life was so much different, so much more different before I needed to share everything or publish everything or make a lesson out of everything or make every experience of my life something educational or something that could be shared. And so I find like my creative blocks come the most when I don't have that space anymore of like, I'm just doing things for the sake of doing them. I don't need to share it. I don't need to talk about it. I'm just like in it. It's just my life. Like I have space away from work and I'm just like by myself or with my people. You'll probably find that like that's when your creativity starts to flow more is when you are just in that space of like living. So being intentional, because I think sometimes we think, okay, well I need to get more focused, I need more structure, I need to time block, you know, space in my calendar for me to like write these captions or create these things. And then you arrive to that moment and you're like, what do I write? Like, I like— nothing comes. It's like, what do I write? And instead of going more masculine of like, I need to create more planning and more structure around this, you might actually just need to go more feminine and and like let go of it for a second and move into a space of like living your life, even just like going for a walk, like go for a walk, but like without your phone or without trying to learn something through a podcast or an audiobook at the same time, like just go for a walk. And this happened to me the other day, I went for a walk and like, like ideas came to me and I was like, oh, this is amazing. I need to write this down. And then it was like this beautiful moment of being able to transmit that message and share it with people via Instagram or whatever. But that's what I would say in terms of if you feel blocked around content and creativity is moving more into a space of feminine energy and flow and just letting yourself live. And then those things will naturally come more when you're not forcing them. With imposter syndrome, I think it's just recognizing that like we're all imposters, like we don't know everything. I don't know everything about relationships, but I still teach people about relationships. I don't know everything about career or manifestation or business even, but I still teach people about those things because I teach them what I know. So it's not about knowing everything, it's about knowing what you know and making use of that.
Okay, I love that. And I, I really want to just add something here. I think, you know, I mean, Sam's got a pretty decent following, you know, much like you do, Ollie. I mean, my following is much, much smaller, but I would say that they are very engaged. Um, and from a content perspective, I mean, I don't plan content. Really. I planned podcasts, that's about it, because I mean, they kind of have to be. But even then, I'm not like hard and fast on it, you know what I mean? I'm very, very organic because of that same reason. If you're here to share your heart, and even if that's like something educational, it's still coming from your heart, it's still coming from your experience. And I think that there's only so much planning that you can do around that And I think understanding it's just like there is no right or wrong way. It's figuring out what works for you and your process and maybe trying on a couple of things for sure. But what I would say is like whenever I feel like for me, when I'm struggling to create content, it's when I'm not actually learning anything. So it's like, how can I get inspired? How? It's because I haven't listened to a podcast in a couple of days. Or a week or two weeks sometimes, especially now that I work for myself. When I worked at my job, I was constantly listening to podcasts because I fucking hated everyone there, and I was like, I'm on the phone, you know. But like, I always had something in my ears, and now I don't really do that so much, and I've definitely felt that. So I always make a conscious effort now to like listen to podcasts when I'm in the shower, or, um, yeah, just like read books, shit like that. Like, I actually have to allocate the time for the inspiration so that you can get creative. That's how I kind of look at it. Like, if I'm not feeling creative, it means I need to be inspired. And if I'm not feeling inspired, I need to get creative. That's kind of like how I do it. And I don't think that's mine. I think I learned that from Gala Darling, I think. So that's the other thing that I would say too.
Yeah. Also, just like, on, on, in terms of like engagement, babe, like, I think Jazz has found this as well in her content, like educational things and stuff like that is super useful. And it helps create a, um, sense of like authority in terms of like online and people viewing you as like someone who knows something about a specific topic that can be helpful for them. But I think the most, if you want to like reengage this community that you have, as you're saying, the most engagement is when you're just like fucking human.
When you're vulnerable.
Yeah.
Like, so educate and be vulnerable.
Yeah.
The most engagement is not when I'm like, here's how to do this, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. The most engagement is like, I fucking cried my eyes out today because I feel lost on this, that, or the other thing and whatever. It's just always like the vulnerability, the humanness. That's That's what people ultimately connect with, right? Because they see themselves in you, they feel connected to you, they're like, wow, I've felt that, like, that's cool because I'm not alone in that. So that's what I'll say about aging. I love that.
Thank you so much.
Beautiful question, babe. Mary Shell, do you want to, um, come on through, my love? You said you have a question.
Um, yeah, I do. So I just Tips on embodying feminine energy when you don't know the root cause just yet? Because I know sometimes root cause doesn't just come just like that. You gotta go through like a process for it to come to your consciousness. So I guess tips on embodying feminine energy, like being open to receive without being so jaded and like, like, you know what I mean? So yeah, that's my question.
Hmm, okay, talk to me about like this root cause. What do you mean by that?
So like, um, for me personally, like, I know there's a reason why I'm not— I don't feel safe in my feminine energy. And like, I know some probably pain and suffering, and like, I just— this moment, I'm not sure what it is specifically. So like, it's not something I can go like heal or tend to because I don't— I haven't made that connection what on why, why, on my why, pretty much. So yeah.
Well, first I would think about like, what is your definition? What is your, what is your view? What is your perception of feminine energy so far? Like, what is, what is feminine energy to you? What does that look or feel like? Um, well, to me, about feminine energy, yeah.
To me, it's just like, um, inspiration, creativity, that flow, you know, when you just do things because you feel like it and you just go with the day kind of like thing. That's what my feminine energy is like from my understanding. And also like, uh, maybe like sensuality, womb, intuition, and all that stuff.
So when you kind of like lean in that direction, why does it feel unsafe for you? What about it feels unsafe? Because there's uncertainty there? Because there's no like guaranteed safety of getting a result?
A little bit, because like I sense this like I want control because it makes me feel safe. So like, and with feminine energy, it's like, dude, you're gonna surrender. Like, surrender. Like, sorry.
Yeah, yeah, totally, totally. So I think the— like, any, any time we can recognize that there's something that feels unsafe to us. This happens a lot with money as well, of like feeling unsafe with lots of money or large amounts of money. Like maybe we wouldn't even know how to like manage that or where to send it or what to do with it. And so we kind of like play this hot potato game where like money comes in and then it just— we just, we throw it out like consciously or unconsciously because there's no safety there for being able to hold on to it. The same with like control. And so what you want to do is start to create more sense of safety in the unknown of the flow of your feminine energy in really small ways of like affirming to yourself, I can let go of control of this one thing and my world won't come crashing down, things won't end, like it will be okay. So in terms of receiving, a lot of times things that I have my clients do is just like, if you live with someone, if you have a partner, or if you live with family members or roommates or whatever, it's like allowing those people to do things for you, to take things off of your plate, and you being in the receivership of that. And even though you're not in control of doing it exactly how you want it to be done, right, you get to sort of prove to yourself that it's okay and that it's still safe, right? So I get to practice allowing my partner to fold the laundry even though he sucks at folding the laundry, and it doesn't— I don't have the control of doing that task the way I want it to be done. The more that I practice letting somebody else do it and allowing me to receive that gift of not having to do it and recognizing that I'm still safe, my life doesn't end, it's really fine, like my clothes are gonna be fine, right? I start to create safety within my body around this idea of being able to let go. So I would say like letting go in small ways before you try to like go balls to the walls and like fully surrender your whole life to like the vision of this mission that you have, right? How can you like let go and surrender in really small incremental ways and continue to reaffirm to yourself, like, it's okay that I'm letting go of this small piece of control. I don't need to control the music in the car, or maybe I don't need to drive, or maybe I don't need to load the dishwasher in a certain way or fold the laundry in a specific way, or I don't need to be in charge of prepping the meals or making the bed or whatever all these other things are that we, that we like to have control over. Experimenting with just letting go a little bit and reminding yourself, ah, Wow, that feels good to not have that responsibility and to not have that on my plate. Wow, that's nice to receive that.
I think as well, I would love to add, like, Mary Shell, like, I feel you, like, I feel you. Like, I used work as like a coping mechanism, and I will say, like, this is actually really important. It's really, really important in the realm of business. I literally said— I told you guys, like, I had a fucking mental breakdown at the end of last year. Because I just felt like I had to take care of everything. And that's what made me think, okay, I need an assistant, right? But I had to work on the fact that people weren't disappointed in me if I didn't show up exactly how I said I was going to. I needed to understand and do it little bit by little bit. But I want you to understand that this is actually so important that if you let your housemate fold the laundry, it actually does have a ripple effect if you continue to build on it, of course, intentionally, to you being able to have a successful business and receive massive amounts of money. Because if you can't receive having someone do the laundry for you, yeah, how the fuck are you going to receive $10,000 from a client?
Yeah, exactly.
You're just going to be like, like, oh, you'll, you'll receive it like I did when I was earning $15,000, $20,000 as a salary in my old job, hardcore, every single month, no worries. And it— at the end of the month I had no money. I lived at home. I didn't even pay for a car. They gave me a company car. Didn't pay for petrol, didn't pay for tolls, didn't pay for anything. I didn't pay for anything but for my phone bill, and I had no money. Where's my money going? I didn't drink, so I wasn't going out on the weekends. I literally don't know where that fucking money went. I could not tell you because I didn't know how to receive. I was saying all the time in that job, I'm just waiting for someone to realize I'm not, I'm not supposed to be here, right? And so this is what I'm saying is these tiny little things, like, they, they really do.
And I'm sure this is why you asked the question, right?
But I just want to reiterate this to you, that our ability to receive as women has been oppressed. Firstly, because women were the caretakers, right? We, we We have been told that we're basically going to grow up and sign a contract that says we are going to hold everything in a household and everybody else will come before us and we don't receive shit. We give to our kids and our, and our husband, right? And you can be the most feminist, forward-thinking person in the world, society still tells it, tells us that that's our job. And your husband will go off and play golf and he'll have fun whilst you will sit at home and make sure that dinner's ready and that there's meat that isn't off in the fridge, right? We take that on. And so this idea of receiving, I think it's important to speak to the societal thing because this idea of receiving is something we're still dealing with. Receiving money, we haven't even been in the workforce for 100 years. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? Like, this is so new to our nervous systems. Like, some of our mothers, you know, didn't even have the option to work or were rebels because they decided to work, right? Like, this is very new to the feminine nervous system, and I just wanted to point that out, right? Like, you're not fucking crazy. You know what I mean? You know, we're still trailblazing here. This is still really fucking new. So doing that inner work is really important, and those tiny little things, they do make a massive ripple effect. So I just wanted to— you know me, guys, I'm just going on my feminist bandwagon. I can't help myself. No, good.
Okay, thank you so much.
Pleasure, babes. Um, okay. I think we have Brontë. We'll pop you on for one more question, and then, um, Michelle as well has said, um, legit time to block my calendar off and live. Okay, amazing. I love it, I love it. Okay, so let me unpin Marichelle and let me pin the beautiful Brontë. What is your beautiful question, my love?
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. I loved what you said at the very beginning, Sam, when you're like, my Sag heart, because I was like, oh, I feel that I don't have a Sag heart. I've got a Taurian heart and it's like beautiful and glowing. I adore it. But my North Node's in Sag and I've been doing so much research on it. So as soon as you said that, I was like, I'm gonna be re-watching this. I like this.
My North Node is in Sag as well.
Yeah, a lot of you guys will have your North Nodes in Sag. Anyone who's like '92, '93, '94 for around those sort of areas, you'll have to know those and such.
So it's such beautiful energy. And you said something that I really, um, wanted to sort of chat to you a little bit about, and I feel like we've sort of touched on a little bit more, but it was about the relationship of self-trust and cultivating it through small incremental acts. Um, that's definitely something that I'm learning more about, self-love I am like all over.
Yeah, you're a Taurus.
I adore myself.
I literally sat down at the garden, I had my tea, and I was like lighting my candles and shit, and I was like, this is delightful. Like, I— self-love is a vibe. Self-trust though, I'm recognizing, is such a major block for me. And as you were talking about, um, having the feminine acts and practice receiving and recognizing the safety. I just sort of like was writing that down and then changing the words to like practice small acts of self-trust and recognize the safety in the self. But I was just wondering if you had anything in particular that you'd want to share with that or any further guidance, because I'm all open to receiving it.
Yeah, beautiful. I mean, I think when we— what— it's really common to struggle with self-trust, right? Because we are actually taught that we cannot be trusted. From a really, really young age, we are indoctrinated to believe that somebody else always knows better than we know in a lot of ways, right? With your parent, is your authority, so they always know what's best for you, which of course their responsibility is to keep you alive, so it's a beautiful and important thing that we have them as, as guideposts, um, but you know, like your parent knows better than you know, even when you arrive to an age where that may not always be the case, right? We're still kind of taught that, shown that, expected to believe that. And then you go to school and it's always, you know, raise your hand to ask for permission to urinate, as if you don't know when your body needs to urinate. You know, it's like we have to ask for permission to do so much in our lives. Like, where did you get that information from? Is it a trustworthy source? How do you know that? Did you cite the source? Well, you know, don't use information that comes from your brain because the information from your brain isn't as good as the information that's from a book or from a source that we can cite and whatever, right? Well, don't make this decision before you ask somebody else what they think. You know, consult your parents of what they think. Consult your teacher. What does your guidance counselor think that you should do for a career or for college for whatever. Like, there's so many little ways throughout our life experience that we are taught to feel and believe that somebody else has the answer, or that somebody else knows more than we do, or knows better than we do. And this is like really where intuition comes into play, right? We, we're blocked from trusting our own intuition because of that that feeling of like, but I can't trust that. It's not a fact. It doesn't come from a textbook. It doesn't have a citation, right? It doesn't have a PhD. So, you know, it's just a feeling that I have. So what is that, right? What is the value in that? We're completely blocked from understanding and really believing that that feeling, that intuition, intuitive guide actually does have a lot of weight and does have a lot of divine knowledge, sometimes even greater than what you're going to be able to find on Google or from consulting somebody else, right? So first of all, like, just to say again, kind of like as Jazz was saying, you're not crazy. And this is a very real experience for a lot of us. We're taught to not be able to trust ourselves, right? And this is the same with what— making a financial decision, making a decision for your business, Choosing to work for yourself. Like, I'm sure you've all at one point or another thought, well, I should ask X person, you know, if they think this is a good idea, if they think this is a safe idea, if they think this will work, if they think this will be successful. We always think that somebody else knows better or knows more than we do. And so this practice of self-trust is really coming back home to yourself into your intuition and choosing to believe that you know what's best for you and that you always have and that you always will, right? Nobody else knows what's best for you more than you do. It's impossible for them to because they don't have your intuitive guide. You have your intuitive guide. They can't tap into your intuition to guide you, right? That's your North Star. That's your own personal compass, and you are the only one that has access to it, right? Everybody else has their own, but they can't look at yours, right? They can't read your intuitive compass and be like, yes, it is pointing north, continue, my dear, right? Only you have that access. So asking yourself, like, you know, Where, where have I ever not had my back? Are there times in my life where I've let myself down? Are there times in my life where I've gotten into a situation and I wasn't there for myself or I abandoned myself? And sometimes there are, sometimes there are. And so we can go back to those anecdotal moments and think about why was that? Why did I abandon myself? Why did I ignore my intuition? Why did I not choose what I on some level knew was best for me? And it's probably because somebody made you think otherwise, right? Somebody infiltrated that compass and made you believe that it was pointing in a different direction than it actually was. But you'll also find lots of anecdotal moments where you're like, I kind of, I kind of like have had my back a lot, you know, like I've kind of like always sort of been there for myself, you know, when things got bad, I took care of myself, when things were good, I rode the wave, right? And just remembering that like you always have that ability to be there for yourself, to trust in your own intuitive knowing and take the next appropriate steps. That's like self-trust, right? Is we're never going to know the outcome. There's always going to be uncertainty. There's always going to be what-ifs. There's always going to be doubt of like, ah, I mean, I don't know. It could work. It could not work. I don't know that answer. But what I do know is that I will figure it out. Because what's the alternative to figuring it out? We just roll over and die in a corner. Like realistically, you won't die, you know? Yeah, yeah. Like if your partner like breaks your heart and leaves you alone, or your business fails, or you lose all your money or whatever, like you have two options. One is to be there for yourself and do the one next right thing, or to like roll over and just give up and die, which No one chooses. Like, you're going to be there for yourself. You're going to figure it out. And that's just like the knowing that you have to integrate of like, I know that I will be able to figure it out. Whatever happens.
Intuition is a massive part of what I was going to add to that. But I think what I— you like, Sam spoke to that so beautifully. But the one thing I will like leave you with is this idea of like Okay, what is self-trust? Sometimes the easiest way to understand what that is to you is to think about what the opposite of that looks like. And I know for me it's self-abandonment. So when I realize that I'm abandoning myself, because sometimes the bad shit is way easier to, to see, it's a lot easier to be hard on ourselves than it is to, to tell ourselves, like, to recognize ourselves, right? So let's just use that to our advantage. Where have you been abandoning yourself and how often are you abandoning yourself versus, okay, now I know what that is, how often am I trusting myself? And when you start to weigh that up, maybe you actually trust yourself more than what you give yourself credit for. You just not have— you just don't have that awareness. And then you get to be beautiful Brontë and love the shit out of that. Or you realize, fuck, I'm abandoning myself so much, no wonder I don't fucking trust myself. Because my intuition's fucked up, I don't trust it, and I'm abandoning myself every fucking day. And when I— because that's what I did. And I tell you guys all the time, every decision you make is out of love or fear. Love is going to be self-trust, fear is going to be abandonment. That's pretty like easy. So if I'm living in fear, if I'm abandoning myself and I'm not investing in the course or the coach or the therapist or my savings account or whatever it is because I don't trust myself, I'm abandoning myself. You can start to actually weigh it up and go, okay, is this actually a problem, yes or no? And is it just that I need to place some more love and some more awareness on the fact and give myself a little bit more props? And like I said, love yourself a little bit more. Or is it, oh fuck, I actually abandoned myself heaps? And then you kind of know where to go in that healing journey. Does that make sense?
Yeah. Okay, that it does. Yeah, thank you both of you so, so much.
Pleasure.
I just tried to like absorb instead.
No, I love it, I love it. Um, and thank you so much for that amazing question. And again, you know what I do want to say to everyone before we kind of like round today off, and that's such a beautiful place to kind of like leave tonight's expanded session is the sense of abandonment. I mean, I know— I knew that if I didn't say yes to myself in my career, in my business— I mean, I went through a really, really crazy time. And you can go and actually listen to the podcast I did on Sam's podcast where I really talked about this idea of like, I stopped— I didn't actually know I was talking about this at the time, but I realized now I was basically sharing, like, I didn't— I stopped abandoning myself. I got out of the shitty relationship, I got out of the job that, you know, yeah, sure, made me heaps of money, the secure relationship, you know, the penthouse apartment, you know, the really nice car. And I traded all that in to seemingly just go and start this little business. But what called in was so much more than that. I called in the love of my life. I called in way more money, way more money now than what I was getting before. Maybe not way more money, close. Now we're like on— now we're fucking going next level to way more money. Like this time next year, that'll be just like a— that'll be like pennies, you know what I mean? But it's like we're so on that track now It took me literally, what, it's been a year and a month since I've been full-time. Like, it's not as hard as what you think, but you do have to trust yourself and you have to stop abandoning yourself. That's what a quantum leap is, the decision to stop abandoning yourself. And I think as women we struggle with this. It's normal, you're not fucking crazy. It's scary because guess what, we don't have a lot of women out there doing that. Because even the ones that are doing it, it's new for them, right? Like, we don't have hundreds of fucking years like our male counterparts. We don't have that. We don't have that. We don't have that evidence in the same way. It's not integrated in the same way, let alone— let's even take the workforce out of it. Like, whole other— like, it's, it's so— it bleeds out so much. And that's why it's so important. And that's why you guys are literal fucking warriors for deciding to do a course like this. Like, this is what I'm saying. Like, you guys, I want you to understand, like, you're literally rebels. Like, this is new. This is not— and like, you guys are like, I want to make money online and do stuff with my passion and my purpose according to my natal chart. Like, do you understand what you're doing? Like, you're literally changing the fucking world. Like, I get emotional thinking about it. It's a big fucking deal. So if you're scared, of course you're fucking scared.
Yeah, welcome to the club. Like, welcome to the fucking club. Like, but like almost shatting your pants on a monthly basis and then being like, fuck it, I'm just gonna do it.
Yeah, because— and, and then it gets— and you know the cool thing is, is then you get addicted and you decide, even though you're an astrologer you're gonna do a course about conscious business and it actually outsells every other course you've ever done. I think we had maybe— what, how many people did we have in Cosmic Cash? Like 16 people? Yeah, it wasn't a lot.
The first time we ever did it was like 14 or 15, I think.
Yeah, so there was 18 people that signed up for this one year later on my own, right? So I had like 400 fucking followers, I think, when I did Cosmic Cash. Like, I was like really just starting, you know what I mean? Like, to have 20 people in a course like this that is of a much higher value as well, like, that might seem little, but it's actually not. It's fucking huge, right? As something that's like seemingly not my niche. I share this with you guys because it's available to you, that crazy thing like it could happen in 3 months from now. Like, it seriously can, right? If you continue to trust yourself, if you continue to show up as you, if you continue to get creative, continue to do your inner work, and to stay in alignment with your why. That's it, right? That's, that's all you have to do.
Yeah.
Okay, that was my little rant.
Open the door all the way. Open the door all the way. Like, find ways to rip the door off the hinges. Those are the moments where you really get to, like, step into your power and see what's available for you.
And finding ways can be, you know, getting that coach or getting that mentor or finding that friend or finding the community. Like, that is one of those fucking ways. I can tell you right now, Sam and I have had many conversations. I remember talking to you not even that long ago, and you were like, yeah, I think I think I'm gonna charge— like, I remember, like, you were telling me what you were charging for one-on-ones. I was like, fucking triple that shit. I was like, no bitch, like, we're fucking— like, let's fucking go. And you're like, okay. Like, those moments— and I've had those conversations with Sam too, right? You will find those people in this room and many other rooms that you will enter into, right? Telling you right now, it's so important because you're not alone. Like, we're all in this together in some way. You're all unique, but we're all moving through this in a really similar way. And that's why I love this work. And I'll always be here for you. I know Sam is always around in the DMs, I'm sure. And, um, thank you so much, my love, for coming and sharing your truth and sharing your story. I mean, I just love listening to you talk. I could listen to you forever. Um, and I love you.
Yeah, thank you for having me. It was so lovely to connect with you all and see your faces. And I just love being in spaces of other women that are like in that place in life where they're really ready to choose themselves and make those big leaps. Like, you all are like my people, you know? Like, these are the types of people that I want in my circle in my life and my energy in my programs, like as friends, as, you know, the type of women that will support one another always, you know. So I love being able to have the opportunity to get in rooms like this one. And I'm so excited for all of you because I know that if you're here and if you've made this investment in yourself and if you're in, you know, Jaz's container and in her energy, that you're going to do amazing. Beautiful, incredible things. So I'm excited to see what you all create.
