Samantha Daly argues you don't manifest by wanting harder, but by becoming someone who could actually handle what you're asking for. Most people fail because their current standards and habits don't match the life they're chasing. She walks through raising your standards by eliminating what you accept, doing shadow work, and saying no to anything that doesn't serve your future self.

What's up guys, welcome back to the podcast. Today we're going to talk about how to know if you are energetically available for your dream life and how to stop chasing it and have it start chasing you. But before we dive in, I want to quickly remind you that this week is a very big week. This is the Super Bowl of manifestation. So if you are a spiritual girly, if you believe in all of the energetics of Law of Attraction, this is our Super Bowl. Yes, this week we have the Lion's Gate portal happening on August 8th. It's always 8/8 during Leo season, and this is an incredible cosmic alignment that creates so much light energy on planet Earth. The availability for us to be able to manifest, attract, heal, evolve with ease and speed is un— paralleled during this portal. So if you want to make the most of this and you're not sure what you need to do or should do to make sure that your manifestations come through on this very special day, the best day, the luckiest day of the entire year to manifest absolutely anything that you want— if you want to make sure yours come true, I'll help you out. You don't know what to do? Just come to our workshop. I'm hosting a free abundance activation workshop. This is something that we do annually. This will be the 4th year that I've run this workshop. A lot of people in my community and clients, they come to this workshop year after because it is so good and the results are so potent. I get messages every year about women saying, oh my gosh, I can't believe this is happening again. I remember last year I manifested this, or I wrote this down, I asked for this, I set the intention for this, and now it's real in my life. Things like business upgrades, dream homes, cars, uh, quitting jobs, working full-time for themselves. So many things. Relationships, falling in love, getting pregnant. So many things have happened for the women in this community from activating the magnetism that happens on the Lionsgate portal through this workshop. So I'm going to guide you through everything on the workshop. You don't have to worry about anything or knowing what to do. I'm going to do all the practices for you and with you. We will step into the portal together. And the fun thing about this workshop is that the more people that come, the more energy that we can create and the more magnetism we can manufacture. So it's kind of like one of those prayer events. If you've ever seen a really large gathering of people that come together to pray or, or sit on a specific intention together. The more people that there are pouring their energy into that collective intention or the energy that they're trying to create, the more of a ripple effect that creates and the stronger and more powerful the energy becomes. So our collective energy is a very important thing on this masterclass. So do your best to come live to this and invite a friend, invite your mom, invite your sister, invite anyone in your life who you know wants to manifest some incredible things this year. And we're going to make it such a vibe, so much fun. It's always a good time. Come join us. We will leave the link in the show notes below this episode for you, or you can always find it at the link in my bio at _samanthadaly on Instagram. I hope to see you guys there. If you're listening to this in real time, it is tomorrow. However, the workshop will be available for a while after the Lion's Gate, and the portal is actually open for several days after as well. It doesn't close until August 12th, so you can still Take advantage of it and watch the recording if you are not able to be there with us live, or if you catch on to the idea of this workshop a little late. Okay, without further ado, uh, let's get into this episode and make sure you guys check out the link in the show notes and join us for the abundance activation on the Lion's Gate. Welcome to the Makeshift Happen podcast. I'm your host, Samantha Daly, entrepreneur, life coach, and your no BS bestie, here to bring you all things mindset, manifestation, and personal development. This podcast is designed to help you expand your mind and uplevel your life. So turn the volume up and roll the windows down if you're coming along for the ride. Let's go make shift happen. I think a lot of times we think about our dream life as something that is kind of far off in the distance, right? It's in the future. It's way out there. It's something that we need to go after. But in this conversation today, we are going to turn all of that on its head and write a completely new narrative. So most of us listening to this podcast have big dreams and goals of some kind, no matter what they are. It's going to look different for everybody. Maybe you want to quit your job. Start a business. Maybe you're someone who really wants to travel. Maybe you are looking towards like cultivating really deep, meaningful, hot, sexy, steamy, safe relationships. Maybe you want to become a successful entrepreneur. Maybe you want to get healthy and fit as fuck. Or maybe you just want to be able to feel wildly confident or have a group of female friends who really celebrate you and get it. Maybe you want to be able to buy yourself all the nice things and not be stressed about money or have the freedom to do whatever you want in your life. All of these aspirations can feel distant or even unattainable and like they're far off into the future, right? Or maybe, maybe even like they're a fantasy of some sort. But what if, what if they were all a lot closer than you thought? And what if there was something that you could actually do to manipulate the timeline, so to speak, and shrink the amount of time that it would take for you to get there? The good news about this conversation is we're going to talk about exactly that and how you can do that. Victoria Ward. So if you are looking to collapse time and draw your dream life towards you even faster than what you thought was possible, the question that I want you to ask yourself is, am I even available for this dream? Instead of wondering if the dream is attainable or if the dream is realistic, I want you to first consider if you are even open enough or energetically prepared enough to receive it. So some examples of this. Let's say $1,000,000 lands in your bank account tomorrow. That would be amazing, right? Most of us would love the idea of that. But based on your current relationship with money, your financial literacy, your spending and saving habits, what you know about investing or managing money, are you prepared to manage this sum of money? Are you prepared to hold and manage $1 million, or would your current self, as you are today, be a total wreck with that level of responsibility? Just think about if $1 million landed in your bank account right now, would you kind of start to freak out and be like, I don't know if I can handle this. I don't know if I know what to do with this. Because that's how— if we're being really, really honest with ourselves, that's how a lot of us feel about these really big dreams that we have for our lives. But we might not realize it because we never spend the time to really think about what would happen if you got it. Because we have— we've cast these visions so far out into the future and believing that it's this future version of our life. It's some, you know, long-lost tomorrow that we may or may not ever get to. And so we don't actually think about what happens when I do get it. What happens when it actually happens? What do I do when it manifests? What do I do when it's real? And that's a really valuable thing to think about, especially if you're trying to attract, manifest, or create some sort of result in your life. It's like, well, what are you going to do when it happens? Are you still stuck in the mindset of like, well, if that happens, or if I can create that, or if I got lucky enough, or if that happens someday? No, no, no, no, no. Let's take a second now to just be like, when that happens, how will I react? What will I do? And am I prepared for that now? Let's say your forever person— if you're someone who's looking for love, let's say that your forever person falls in your lap tomorrow. Based on who you are being today, are you ready for what that would mean? That sort of long-term relationship that's going to require a lot from you. Based on who you're being today, are you ready to make the compromises in order to meet this other person's needs? Are you ready to potentially change where you live? I don't know what the circumstances will be. Are you ready to settle down? Are you ready to always consider someone else before making your decisions? Now, are you ready to maybe merge your finances, to trust someone else, to take the lead, to not be in charge, to maybe cut off communication or stop talking to your exes? Are you ready to allocate a large portion of your time and your schedule towards nurturing this relationship? It. Let's say that your dream house becomes available tomorrow. It's on the market, is exactly what you want. It's kind of sort of maybe within your price range. Maybe you have to stretch a little bit. I don't know, we're just playing, we're playing games here. But let's say the dream house becomes available tomorrow. Are you ready to pack up and move? Are you ready to go through the inconveniences of boxing everything, moving, relocating your entire life? Are you ready to do the work of decluttering and shedding things that you don't need anymore? Are you ready to put in the work to physically move your entire life, quite literally, to spend the time that it takes away from other more enjoyable things that you could be doing to get that kind of like hard part of the moving process done? Are you ready to dedicate the time and the energy and the resources to furnishing this new home? Are you ready to jump through the hoops that you might have to jump through when it comes to paperwork, mortgages, home insurance, bank approvals, realtors, lawyers, whatever else is going to come with that? Let's say the opportunity to go on a dream retreat comes up. It's like a one of your ideal top travel destinations, and it's this amazing retreat that is going to be in that destination. This opportunity pops up, it shows up for you tomorrow. You always say how much you want to travel. So are you ready to spend the money? Are you ready to book the flight? Are you ready to make it happen? Are you prepared for all of the little things that you'll need to sort out, like getting time off of work, or maybe organizing childcare or a pet sitter? Maybe you need to get a visa depending on where you're going, or a new suitcase, or maybe you need to do some shopping and get some different types of clothes or special attire that you don't typically wear that you might need depending on this location and what you'll be doing on retreat, are you willing to put in the effort to get the thing that you always say that you want? Because really, in all of these examples, like, that's just the core truth of it, is most people say that they want a lot of things. We talk a lot, we dream a lot, and we say that we want a lot of things. But when it comes down to it, even if it slapped you across the face or magically fell in your lap tomorrow, most people would find a way to make an excuse so that they don't have to put in the effort or tolerate any level of risk, or they would get scared and run, or they would just completely fuck it up and ruin it somehow. Because most people are not operating as the person who would have the thing. They are not operating as the person who would be living that kind of life or making those kinds of decisions or being that spontaneous or willing to spend the money or lose the money or be available for stewarding that level of wealth and responsibility. And that is why the manifestation is not materializing, because your identity doesn't match. You're not being the person that would have it. So rather than chasing your dream life harder, right, and trying to push and force an effort even harder or making another vision board or writing about it more in your journal, I think it's more important, probably, if this is resonating with you, to think about who would I need to be? Who would I need to practice being out in the real world, actually in my life today, right now, in order to become the match and draw this dream towards me effortlessly, to actually be the person that would have this thing, that would be able to hold this thing, that has the integrity, the responsibility, the energy, the discipline, the mindset to actually live this life. So you can ask yourself, you know, am I even available for this dream that I keep dreaming? Am I a true match for it? Are my thoughts and actions representative of the person who would have it? And if it came to me tomorrow, would I be able to hold it or would I panic? And one way to really do this is to start to examine your standards. And if you're wondering like, well, what are my standards? I don't really know. How do I tell? This is how you tell what your standards are. You take a look at your life and you identify all of the things that are not what you want, but you are currently accepting. So for instance, if you are in an uninspiring, draining job and you've been saying that you want out for several months or years, this is a reflection of your current standards. Because you might be saying that you want a more fulfilling job, but your standards are defined by what you are choosing to continuously accept right now. Because with this job example, like, I've been through this myself for sure, and I was saying that I, that I, that I wanted out of this job, or that I couldn't do this job, or I didn't know how long, how much longer I could do this job, for months and months and months. But here's what happens once you truly decide, I'm done, it's like your body physically starts rejecting the job until you actually cannot take it anymore and you find a way out. Even if for months and months you couldn't see one, you thought there wasn't a way out, you thought there was no other option. Maybe you're like, there's no other jobs. I don't know what I would do without it. I'm too scared to not have a backup plan. You have all these excuses until you've truly decided, I'm done. And then it's like the excuses disappear and suddenly a way is formed and you find the way, you make a way. It appears because you decided. So when you're trying to figure out what your standards are for your life, you've gotta look around and notice what you're allowing and accepting. Are there repetitive problems or annoyances in your life that you're well aware of, but you haven't eliminated them yet? Why? Why are you doing nothing about it? Or why are you doing not enough about it? Why are you doing just the same amount about it that you always have been that also has never really truly solved the problem completely? Are there people who consistently treat you in a way that doesn't sit right with you, but you haven't set the boundaries or removed yourself from their orbit yet? People will treat you the way that you allow them to, right? And if you don't like it, stop allowing it, which oftentimes means severing ties or removing yourself or really significantly changing the dynamic of the relationship. And I think it goes without saying that when I am— what I'm speaking about right now is obviously not, uh, talking about physical abuse or domestic violence. The victim is never to blame in those cases. But in lots of other scenarios in our lives, we know when it's time to really take the responsibility of our own lives and our own experience experiences and say no or break away or stop allowing things that we are accepting or allowing. Because if you desire change, you've got to really raise your standards and start choosing differently. Because if you aren't changing something, it means that you're choosing it, right? We've all heard that quote before. If you're not changing it, you're choosing it. And this principle applies to all areas of our life, our relationships, our career, our personal growth, business, money, friendships. Fitness, health, all of it. If you are not changing it, it means you're choosing it. So if you don't like it, then assess what the issue is and start choosing something different. So for example, let's go back to this kind of, you know, for someone who's wanting to attract a partner or is desiring love or a relationship. If you want a loving, committed relationship, but you continue to entertain these, you know, here and there, when it's convenient, I'm not sure what I like you for now, or let's go on some dates, or it doesn't have to mean anything, or we're just figuring it out, kind of uncertain, flaky, wishy-washy fuckboy energy, you are signaling to the universe that this is your standard. Okay, so I have something I think you're really gonna love, and your business is gonna love it even more. Let's make your next story your most profitable one yet. Click the link in the show notes below and I'll see you inside. This is the level that you are playing at. And this is what you're willing to accept and allow. And in one way or another, this is what you want because you're not actually doing anything to choose something else. To change your life, you have to start actively rejecting what doesn't align with your desired future. So in that case, you would have to actually stop seeing people like that. You would have to stop going on those dates. You would have to stop entertaining those flings. You would have to be willing to reject the things that don't align with that larger goal and bigger picture for who you want to become and what you desire for your life. And yes, this might involve saying no to some people, having uncomfortable conversations, um, even setting boundaries with people that you love. That might be really challenging. You know, I think sometimes family and those close relationships, people assume that we should just have this sort of blind loyalty and put up with everyone's bullshit just because we're related. And that couldn't be further from the truth. So you might have to set some boundaries, whether it's at work or with friends or with family, and also be willing to really stand up for yourself. You got to stop being a doormat and hoping that everyone else is going to change around you and that one day they're just going to come to their senses and start acting how they should be acting. Like, no, you are the first domino in line. You are the main character of your life. So once you make a move, the entire plot will start to shift around you, meaning that your entire reality is going to start to change and adjust based on the moves that you just made, and then the rest of the dominoes will fall into place. But nothing is going to change until you do. And I think some people feel like, well, I shouldn't have to change if I haven't done anything wrong, and it's everyone else who's the problem, and everyone else should just be, you know, more decent human beings, or be more kind, or be more committed, or be more loyal, or start treating me the way that I deserve. And this That is exactly the kind of thing that someone would say who's not ready to evolve or take any personal responsibility for their life experiences and results. I think the real shadow work begins when we realize and are willing to accept that we are always at the center of everything that we are experiencing, and we are the common denominator in all of our stories. Even the bad ones. So if you think that you don't need to change or you shouldn't have to, I would ask you to think about what you have to gain by staying the same and what you would be putting at risk by choosing to change. Because those two questions, if you can answer those really honestly, that will likely illuminate a lot of why you're feeling resistant or stubborn, or you feel like it's everyone else who needs to fix themselves. And not you. And then there's other people that might be like, well, I just can't change, you know, like I've tried so many times and I just know myself and this is how I am and I am what— who I am, you know, I've tried to change and I can't because this is part of my personality or these are my patterns or whatever. This is just how I operate. You got to remember that that is also an excuse because our personalities aren't permanent and changing your ways is always possible, right? There's a great book called Personality Isn't Permanent by Dr. Benjamin Hardy, and it's this all about this idea of like personality is flexible and malleable because your personality is essentially made up of, you know, how you think, act, behave, and feel most often. So if you want to upgrade your identity and become the person who would be able to achieve and hold your dream life or your dream relationships or more money or more success or whatever it is that you're desiring, then you'll have to start to change some of these patterns that are keeping you stuck at the current level or in the current existence that you have right now. And so we begin with our thoughts because our thoughts are these things that are recycled daily. Most of us know this at this point, that 95% of our thoughts are the same as they were the day before. And so changing your thoughts will start to change your feelings, which will change your actions and your behaviors and how you show up most often. And that ultimately is going to change your personality, right? So remember, our thoughts are really rooted in our survival instincts. So we are always scanning for danger and we're seeking the lowest risk option. That is what our reptilian brain wants. That's what our survival brain wants, is we want the lowest risk possible. And that's why there are so many people that say that they want a lot of things, but they don't find themselves ever getting that much closer. And that's because their brain is still convincing them to reach for the lowest risk possible. But you don't get what you want by not taking big fat risks. Growth requires stepping out of your comfort zone and taking those risks, going out on a limb, uh, being willing to lose something. Right? You've gotta risk something. And it's challenging to navigate this alone because of that internal conflict that we have between the desire for growth, but also our innate kind of instinct to stay safe. So the ego is always gonna push for that lowest risk option, right? The ego is gonna come up with all these stories to convince you like, that's not a good option. Not now, maybe later. Uh, once you make more money, once you have this, that, or the other thing, you need to do all these other things first. You need to learn more. You need to study more. You need to— right? The ego is always going to jump in with a lot of logical reasoning to help make sure that you are always choosing the lowest risk option. But what happens when we live our life like that, when we always choose the lowest risk option? Oh my God, boring. I'm fucking bored just thinking about that. I literally sometimes think about what my life would look like if I always chose the lowest risk option, and I have to tell you that you and I would not know each we would not have a parasocial relationship happening right now. You wouldn't be listening to me. I wouldn't have this podcast. I wouldn't live where I live. I wouldn't have the partner that I have. Like, my whole fucking life would be 180 degrees different because every good thing that I've ever attained has come from taking big risks, right? And so when we're always searching for that lowest hanging fruit, that safest option, the lowest risk, risk. What happens is, is those choices are the ones that often create the least amount of growth and the lowest reward. Okay, so when we are talking about getting your dream life to chase you, those are the first couple of things that we need to address, right? Number one being, are you even available for it? Can you hold it? Are you practicing to be the person who would naturally just have this thing? Number 2, are you open to changing how you think and show up? Are you available to take bigger risks? Are you willing to lose something in order to get there? And then number 3, which we're going to talk about right now, is like, are you in alignment? Basically. Although I feel like that statement is way too generic and cringy because it almost feels super simplified. So let's let's kind of talk more about what I mean by the alignment piece. Alignment is not— for me, it's not as much about like doing everything right as it is about trimming the fat and really releasing all the dead weight in your life of things that you don't want to be doing. Okay, so alignment is really about saying no to things that don't represent where you are going. So rather than thinking like, oh, I have to do all these things, or you know, add all this stuff in order to be in alignment. The first step I feel is like, what do I need to get rid of? What needs to be gone or be removed from my life as it is right now so that I can be more in alignment? So rather than thinking about adding, we first think about subtracting. It's about saying no to the things that are not representative of where you're going or who you're becoming. And so again, to go back to that idea about rejecting things, it requires rejecting sometimes the immediate validation or comfort or connection or praise or whatever it is in favor of a longer-term satisfaction and fulfillment. So no, unfortunately, it is not going to feel good in the moment. Alignment is not going to feel amazing right now. It's going to feel like shit, probably. But when you don't stand in the truth of what you want, you inevitably end up getting what you don't want. So what is more frustrating? Having to do something hard now and then getting everything that you've ever wanted, or continuing to avoid the hard things that you can be kind of somewhat comfortable but still annoyed now and then also end up without any of the shit that you wanted? Like, what? No. And I think this is why in some ways, like, the personal development space and New Age spirituality culture has kind of done us dirty because there's such a narrative about, you know, if everything is meant for you or if it's right for you, that it's going to feel good and that it's going to— it's going to feel amazing in your body. But I tell my business clients this all the time. Things can be hard and still be the right thing. Just because something sucks in the moment doesn't mean that it's bad for you or it's out of alignment or it's wrong. We really, really have to stop being so soft and expecting everything to feel good in our bodies all the time. And here's why. Just argue me this. Change is inherently unfamiliar. That is like the definition of change, right? If we're trying to change something, anything, whether it's a routine, a pattern, the way that we dress, how we show up, how we talk, the boundaries that we set, um, how we interact in relationship, our coping mechanisms, if we're trying to change anything, it is inherently going to be unfamiliar because it's not what we've always done. And anything unfamiliar is going to be a perceived threat to our safety, right? That is what our brain is designed to do. It's designed to scan and say, oop, that's out of order. That is new. That is different. That is unknown. I don't recognize this. I've not been this person. I don't know who that is. I don't behave this way. I don't know what's happening. So let's retract. Let's go back. Because familiarity in the reptilian brain equals safety. We would choose familiarity over happiness. We would choose familiarity over abundance. We would choose familiarity over fame, over joy, over anything. We would choose if we allowed our survival brain to do whatever the fuck it wanted and we, we didn't find that ability to override, we would always choose familiarity over everything, even your dream life. If you left it up to your reptilian brain and someone had your dream life in one hand and they had the familiar in the other, your brain would always choose what is familiar, even if what is familiar literally sucks. Even if it's a version of your reality where you're like, I hate this, I don't want this. This, there is a part of you that would still choose that over everything else because it is known. And if you are not dying, even if you feel like you are inside, if you are not dying, your brain says the devil I know is better than the devil that I don't know. So change is always going to feel unfamiliar. That's the definition of it. It's something that we haven't done before, and anything unfamiliar is going to be a perceived threat to our safety, which is going to then trigger the ego to tell you lots of stories about why you shouldn't go ahead with this thing. But does that mean that we should never change? Does that mean that change is always bad? Obviously not, right? If I want a stronger body and I want to change my body composition, I'm going to have to do something to create that result, right? And it's probably going to be outside of the norm of what I've been doing, or else I would already have that body. So if I want a stronger body, should I just expect all of my workouts to feel easy and for everything to feel good in my body and for there to never be any resistance and for me to not want to some days wake up and be like, I do not want to go to the gym. That's the last thing that I want to do. Fuck no. Like, you're going to feel like that, but you also know that that's part of the process of this change that you are intentionally making. If I want a deeper relationship, should I expect that every time I share more vulnerably than I ever have, or every time that I apologize first or admit that I was wrong about something, should I expect that that's going to feel good in my body? Or do I kind of know that I'm, I'm going to want to like grit my teeth and hide and protect myself and not say that I was wrong or not say that I'm sorry or not open up and share really vulnerably about how I feel about this person? If I want that deeper relationship, then I can't expect that what's going to be required is always going to feel good in my body. Body. If I want a bigger business or more visibility online so that I can impact more people or make more money or whatever the goal is, should I expect that everyone's opinion of me is always going to be nice and kind as my audience continues to grow and I continue to be put in front of more and more strangers or people that aren't exposed to me or my brand, or they know nothing about me? Should I just assume that it's going to be so easy and it's never going to be hard to grow a bigger audience or have more visibility or create more impact or have more eyes on my work so that my business can get bigger? No, right? We all know the answers to these questions. So something that I've really learned through the journey of my own life is that if you want this kind of big-ass, juicy, joyful, abundant life, then you have to stop trying to skirt around the pain. Because the truth is that you are going to lose people. You are going to lose money. You are going to lose sleep. And it's going to suck sometimes and you are going to fucking love it. Who you become in the process is going to be this person that is no longer chasing after her manifestations, but instead is the manifestation herself. You become the manifestation. And what I mean by that is that you become someone that your hopes and dreams are actively trying to move towards. They are seeking you out. What if all of the opportunities, the love, the money, it was all manifesting you because it saw you as the idea vehicle to be born through, to be put into the world, to be held, to be stewarded. You are the vehicle. And if you're not right now, you have a chance to become it. Right? What if everything that you've ever been desiring could start manifesting you as the vehicle because you became the right person that they needed in order to bring themselves to life as these ideas, creations? When you stop moving through life with this narrative of why hasn't it happened for me yet, or I hope that it happens soon, and instead you really take on this radical self-concept of I get everything that I want because I'm willing to do whatever it takes. Then, then the miracles will start seeking you because you have proven yourself to be the worthy vehicle, to be the place where ideas and opportunities and success and money and love want to pour into. All of it, the opportunities, the visibility, the reciprocal relationships, the hot, steamy romance, the successful business, the house, the car, the dream destinations, the money. All of it is like, damn, I choose her. I pick her. I want her to be my vehicle into the material world. And you start being manifested. That is how you make all of your dreams chase you. You just keep moving no matter what. You stop fearing the growth. You stop fearing what you're going to lose. And you go after it anyways. You raise the bar even when you don't have to, right? You set higher standards not because anything is wrong, but because you are pursuing excellence, not comfortability. You go first even when no one else can relate. Even when it feels like you're at the top of the mountain, you, you create that next thing. You go for that next step because that is what people at the top have always done. Innovate, evolve, change, improve, excel, reiterate, repeat. Innovate, evolve, change, improve, excel, reiterate. That is the process for becoming the person that will be manifested by all of the things that you have always desired. And it's not about never resting or being in this kind of hustle energy. This is more so a mindset. This is a way of life. It is a self-concept. It's a way of living. Living. And I think this is something that, you know, luckily when I was younger almost sort of came naturally to me. I've always had this intense kind of tenacity or ambition. I've never really felt too dissuaded from the things that I wanted just because other people said that it would be hard or that it was unrealistic or that it was gonna cost a lot of money or that it would be challenging. Like, none of that ever really stopped me. And this is that kind of entrepreneurial mindset. And you don't have to be an entrepreneur to have that mindset, but I think that's what a lot of us possess is this insatiable hunger to just create and do and experience more. And that's gonna look different in all the different phases of our life, right? Sometimes more means more money. Sometimes more means more time. Time. Sometimes more means more health, more fitness, more, uh, longevity, more liveliness. Sometimes more means more rest, more restoration, more relaxation, more downtime. But when you have this mindset of always wanting to evolve and create more, nothing will get in your way because it won't matter what season you're in. It won't matter if you are in a season of stepping on the gas or slowing down, you will continue to pursue your version of more no matter how hard it feels. Because contrary to, I think, popular belief, a lot of people feel like slowing down or resting or taking a step back, whatever that might mean. Or maybe you're in a season of going into motherhood or postpartum and you have these intentions or these ways that you, that you want to live and you want to soak up this time. A lot of people feel like doing less is never going to be hard. But for a lot of people, doing less is extremely hard. Doing less is maybe even harder than just continuing to push and plow through and do more, more, more. And so it's not about, you know, always working or making the most amount of money. What we're talking about here is pursuing more for yourself, whatever that looks like in whatever season of life that you are in. And we have to have these things in order, right? We have to be actually available for receiving what it is that we're saying that we desire? Uh, do we have the openness for it? Do we have the time for it? Are we willing to spend the money on it? Are we willing to risk something for it? What are we willing to lose? Are we gonna make it happen no matter what, or are we gonna lean into the excuses? And we have to be willing to change ourselves and take radical responsibility for the role that we play in all of our experiences as the main character of our life, as the center point of everything. Are we willing to show up differently, to think differently, to take bigger risks? And are we in alignment? Are we willing to have the hard conversations, to set the boundaries, to say no, to reject things, to sacrifice that immediate sort of satisfaction or validation or whatever it is for the longer-term satisfaction and fulfillment? These are all of the pieces to the puzzle for actually becoming available for your dream life and to start operating as the person who would have your dreams chasing you rather than the other way around.
