I had a person on a call with me the other day, and he was just like, okay, I understand I need to level my stress levels down, but how does breathing actually reduce your stress levels and allow me to take more action? But when we slow our breath and we start to focus on improving our breathing, mechanics, control and biochemistry naturally start to deactivate a part of our brain called the amygdala. Now, the amygdala is the emotional, irrational part of our brain that often causes fear and often causes worry. So we're deactivating and having less activation in that part of the brain. Therefore, we can start to be more rational, take more action, and be more productive in our clarity towards our goals.
