Checklists for automation serve two purposes: they let teams verify that automations completed all their tasks, and they build confidence to expand automation safely. A solid checklist prevents security gaps during off-boarding by catching leftover permissions and misconfigurations.
If we build the checklist and we know it's right and we know the process is there, number one, that's important to train so that people have the checklist so they can sanity check the automation and make sure it did everything it was supposed to do. But second, it's the kind of the gateway drug to being able to go out and build those automations and streamline your business and make sure that when we offboard a user, nobody gets left behind, like nothing gets stranded in a system that they still get access to something they shouldn't have or, you know, set up a misconfiguration that's a vulnerability that leads to a breach later.
