Deep learning is a subset of machine learning that uses multi-layer neural networks to mimic how the human brain learns. Trained on massive datasets, these systems make decisions dynamically in ways broader machine learning approaches can't match.

How is deep learning different? It was one of these things where I said, deep learning, how is this different? Like, you know, I felt like, could it go yet to a different level? Well, it did. Deep learning is a subset of machine learning that uses multiple layers of something called neural network, but it uses an interesting algorithm or programming methodology inside the software to simulate the human brain to learn from very large amounts of data. That's what deep learning is. It's this machine learning, so it can dynamically make decisions. It's, uh, using very, very specific programming to learn from very large amounts of data so that it can have that very specific outcome.
