A vCIO presents clients with a technology roadmap showing replacements every 3-5 years, securing buy-in without constant pitches. MSP owners use repeatable processes instead of reinventing projects each time, and gather satisfaction data to track progress.
Chapters
So first, let's define what a VCIO is. You get a silent buy-in every time they look at that roadmap. You really can't afford not to have a VCIO. Then you're updating your technology roadmap from a meeting you had with a different client. Like I said before, you have your lifecycle replacements that are just going to happen every 3 to 5 years, as you would expect. What do I get out of it as a business owner, as an MSP owner? Why do I need a VCIO? Why can't I be the one to do these things? You don't want to reinvent the wheel every time you need to do something. So your standards will be a lifesaver for you. Gather information about how happy the client is. The folks who will benefit from this session are people who are first-time VCIOs or are getting ready to step into a VCIO role. You should have whoever has the role of the IT manager, that being the day-to-day items.
