Hi everyone, are you potentially looking for your next job? Let me share with you SHINE strategy that I coined to help you to land your dream job despite the fact that we are in very difficult times and there's so much competition for each role. Let's see what SHINE stands for. SHINE stands for strategy, hustle, iBrand, Network, and extra mile project. Let's go over each of these steps. Why should we strategize? Because in this market, shotgun approach will not work. If you just drop your resume for many roles, you may not hear back from the recruiters because there's so many people dropping their applications. So you need to strategize and approach your— each of the roles very strategically. You need to also hustle. Finding a job has always been difficult, but during these times you need to think creatively. You need to iterate and test different things and see what works, what doesn't, including how you write an email to someone, how you ask for introduction, and all of the processes involved in the interview process. You need to really pay attention and iterate on things if they don't work and continue the path if your strategy was working and if your methodology was working. You need to also build your iBrand. You need to build your digital presence because if you're active on LinkedIn, if you're interacting with people digitally, the recruiters and the hiring managers will come to you versus you going to them. So smartly think about how you build your digital presence. In addition to that, network. But networking is very important in a sense that you have to pay forward. You need to help other people. Maybe you can reach out to a friend that you have in a company that you really like to work for and say, How can I help you? How can I do a project in the area that you're good at and potentially help them to move something forward? Another thing to think about is in the companies that you want to work at, first of all, narrow them down and then approach the people in your network that work for that company and ask for introduction to hiring managers or things of that sort. During this time, if you again just drop your resume, it won't work. You really need to approach hiring managers. Through your network. And don't forget that always the power of network gets so much more important if you also help other people. So constantly help other people and pay it forward. And the last step is extra mile project. During this time, if you narrow down the companies you wanted to work for and you go ahead and do an extra mile project, do competitive research on them, do competitive, do product analysis on them and send an extra mile project or kind of a comprehensive project to the hiring manager, I bet you, you won't go You won't go unnoticed and you can potentially get your first round of interview with that company. So that's also another good way that gets recruiters and hiring managers' attention. So go ahead and put Shine strategy into practice. I hope all of you guys find the jobs that you want. And if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me.
