In this solo presentation Aaron Young warns against the common mistake of expecting rapid, miracle results from Google Ads and quitting too early. He emphasizes treating Google Ads as a month‑to‑month investment rather than a week‑to‑week experiment. Young illustrates his point with a case study: a client earning roughly $47,000 per month grew to over $87,000 per month within 12 months, an 83 % revenue increase. The client achieved this using only two simple search campaigns—one ad group per campaign focused on two core services—while following a disciplined “Google Ads optimization cycle.” The cycle consists of four steps: (1) set up the account, (2) wait for data to accumulate, (3) review the data and make optimizations, and (4) repeat. By patiently iterating this loop month after month, conversions rose steadily after an initial lag, and spend remained modest. Young concludes that success in Google Ads requires patience, data‑driven adjustments, and a willingness to stay the course beyond the first weeks or months.

One of the biggest mistakes I see when it comes to business owners starting out in Google Ads is that they just stop too early. They expect that Google Ads is going to be this miracle that will completely transform their business in 2 to 3 weeks. When it comes to Google Ads, I want you to more think about Google Ads month on month and not week on week. And this is so important. And I'm going to show you an example right now of a business that saw their revenue grow by 83% in just 12 months. So when they came to us and joined our program, they were just earning under $48,000 $48,000, about $47,000 a month. And now they've just done 3 months in a row of over $87,000 a month. And it was nothing flashy. They just stuck to search campaigns and just stuck to this process of this optimization loop that I want to talk to you about now. But let me firstly show you the results. You can see here when they came in July, they weren't spending much at all. So they were spending, you know, $387 and there's 2 conversions. And then it's just month on month. They just followed the process, went through, and you can see here it was after— so July, August, September, October, November, December. December, and then it really started to kick in for them. So they started to get those, you know, conversions really firing in their account, and they've just never turned back. And this is the sad thing that's stopping many business owners, is that they just stop too early when it comes to Google Ads. That we did nothing fancy here. They've still only got 2 Google Ads campaigns running, 2 search campaigns, and they're really, really simple. One ad group per campaign, focusing on their 2 different core services. And they've just gone through this constant loop, which I call the Google Ads optimization cycle. And that is where you set your account account. You then wait for some data, and then when you review the data, that's when you go in and make your optimizations. You then go through and wait for more data, make some more optimizations, and then that optimization loop continues and flows through. So what I want you to remember is that when it comes to Google Ads, don't just make the decision after 1 week or 1 month. What you need to do is you need to see your data, make the optimize— make the optimizations, and then wait for more data. Success with Google Ads is being patient and being able to wait so that you can see the data Then make some more optimizations.
