In this video Alden Morris explains how LiquorChat enables liquor store owners to process distributor invoices and other documents without having to upgrade their point‑of‑sale (POS) systems. The platform accepts photos, PDFs, and Word files, runs OCR to extract plain‑text data, and can handle multi‑page documents. Using a column‑matching feature, the extracted data can be directly synced to a store’s POS via available APIs or emailed, depending on the POS’s capabilities. Morris highlights that the solution works with scanners for longer documents, is being beta‑tested with merchant stores, and is part of a broader vision to integrate POS, website, and other business tools into a single chat‑based interface, positioning LiquorChat as a one‑stop shop for liquor retailers.

Liquor stores can now intake their invoices from distributors and any other documents that they have without needing to upgrade their POS system. As long as you can send information one way or another way, we can actually do it right within LiquorChat. We saw that the only reason that people were upgrading to POS were either the analytics or for, for handling invoices and especially dealing with distributors. So we're trying to tackle both of those things. So what do I mean by that? We accept images. You can take a photo, you can upload a photo, PDFs, Word documents. So for instance, let's just grab that. So we just have a, a, a test invoice here. You can see it's going through, it's just doing a basic OCR and formatting it. So it's taking everything off the page and it's giving it right here to you in plain text. So this was a 3-page PDF that we had overall, and I can open that up so you can see what that looks like. So it was just an example, just, just 3-pager that we were doing. And so it took everything from that, and in this POS we have it hooked up to where we can column match, uh, which is, which is really cool. So we are able to directly just sync this right into the POS. And so you can send it to your POS or you can email it. Again, this is 100% dependent on what your POS provides, the APIs, the connections that we can do. But this is a way that you can do it right through LiquorChat. Again, our goal, you can run your whole business right through this chat. And especially when we can start integrating your POS, your website, everything into here, it's a one-stop shop. So really excited about this. We're testing this out with our beta stores, merchants, and we are excited to be rolling out the ability to not just invoices, but anything, be able to just intake it. And again, if you have longer documents, and in a lot of cases the distributors are just— it might be 10 pages long— that you can just get a scanner, scan it right through, that's going to give you an image, and you can still run this same OCR analysis on that as well.
