All right, how are we doing today, fellas? And one lovely Kali. And one lovely woman and a bunch of fellas. How are we doing? Doing good. Awesome. Awesome. All right, guys, here's what I'm going to talk about today. This is something that's come up a lot in conversations with some of my clients. So I thought I'd do a quick webinar about it to go over some hacks, I'll call them Hacks, on how to get your prospect's attention. So the reason I wanted to do this was when I look at what we do at Complete Game Consulting, I view our job as very simple, is to get people attention, whether it's a producer, agency, industry, partner, you name it. Our job is to help people get the right attention. And trust me, there's a way to get wrong attention. A lot of people in the industry have done that. And so what I really want to use this webinar is to go over three things that I use that have really helped me, again, stand out. And here's what I want you guys to think about. And again, guys, these aren't earth shaking, earth moving strategies. They're just little things you can do to stand out that a lot of people overlook. And some of you might be using them already if you are. Awesome. So I thought I'd go over them and here's my goal, and this is the goal I have for everybody. And I want you to have the same goal the second you encounter a prospect. So I want you to think of it this way. There's the encounter before they say yes to a meeting. Right? That's the marketing side, the prospecting side. But then there's the side of it called, let's call it sales, where they've said yes to a meeting. How can you continue to stand out? Because I think for a lot of us, I'm going to say every one of us on this call, unless you are the greatest salesman that has ever lived, has found yourself in a situation where you thought you had a prospect who was hot, everything was going well, and then they're gone. Anybody have that happen?
You walk out, thought you gave a killer presentation, and you're like, what the heck happened?
It's happened to everyone.
So there are three things I started doing. And again, these are small but very impactful things that have really helped me. It helped me as an advisor, and it's really helped me in this company right now. And so what I'm going to do is go over those three. I'll leave about five, seven minutes at the end. If you guys have any questions or just other, other questions about other ways to stand out. But the first one I want to go over is kind of in the marketing side of things. What can you do to stand out in the marketing side before a prospect has said yes to a meeting?
A hack that I've been using, and again, I know some of you have talked about, I've worked with some of you, so you probably heard me talk about this, but it still gets overlooked. I'm going to tell you, if you're not leveraging the voice Message feature on LinkedIn, you need to be doing it right now.
What blows me away about this feature is it's been around for two years and I'm still willing to bet 80% of the people don't know it's there.
And so a hack I've been using that works, and again, it's small, is when I send out a LinkedIn request, even if somebody sends me a request, whether I send a request or they send it in to me, I am going to follow up with a voice message every single time.
Now, it doesn't have to be immediately. In fact, that'd be kind of creepy if it was immediately. But just at some point post can connection, when they accept or you accepted theirs, just send a message. My messages are anywhere from 10 to 15 seconds and they are nothing more than, hey, Colton, Andy. Just wanted to thank you for the connection. If you need anything from me, feel free to reach out. Now that we're connected, I post a lot of content. I hope you enjoy it. Look forward to connecting soon. That's it.
That one small move.
Will get you to immediately stand out.
I can tell you I've sent messages probably to a couple of you on this call, and what I got returned was a message saying, holy cow, I didn't know you could do that. That's really cool.
The second you get a message like that, you stood out in the prospect's eyes.
You looked different.
So that's the first thing. Again, not a big, big, big hack or a big strategy. Earth changing strategy, guys. It's a simple move that's going to get you to stand out. I do this twice a week, every week I will go in and I will make some connections. But I also look at who's, you know, who's who sent me request, and honestly, I'll accept them. If I think they're a good fit, I'll accept them. But I don't send messages right away. But a couple times a week, like I'll go out and sit on my deck and just go through the.
Who are my new connections in the last week? Just go through them and one at a time, leave a message.
And I already know I'm starting that relationship off on a high note because I just stood out. And the cool part is, here's what's even better.
You might actually get them to start using that feature. Right? You just brought value to that individual without even knowing it because they now know it's there. They may start using it with other people. Awesome, awesome, awesome move.
