Andy Neary and a guest talk about doing 75 Hard together and how it changed their approach to food and time. The guest now plans each day the night before and weighs every meal to hit their macros, learning that even healthy foods hurt you in the wrong amounts.
And so actually we did 75 Hard together and it's like, that's good for you.
Is that how you came upon 1st Phorm?
Yeah. Yep. Yep. But I did have my routines before that, but 75 Hard was really about, you know, the details and diving in and time management was the hardest piece of it. And so now I just prepare every single day, really the day before. So going into the next day, I'm already ready. So from a nutrition standpoint, that was the one thing that I learned the most was, you know, that Standard American Diet or SAD diet. It's true. I was an athlete and I ate whatever I wanted when I wanted. I knew the importance of protein and protein shakes and blah, blah, blah. But when you actually take the time to weigh things out and visualize it on your plate, and that's what I did during 75 Hard, was I did a macro-based diet. And so I weighed everything out to make sure portions were correct and I was getting enough protein. I'm like, I feel like I'm eating protein all day long. But it was flip-flopped. I was very high in carbs, high in fats, and neither of those are bad. But they are bad and not in the right proportions.
