So as I put together the interview portion of the Bullpen Session podcast, I'm getting the chance to interview some extremely highly successful people. And I'm proud to say these people are friends, coaches, mentors. And in my conversations, three common threads are becoming very apparent. Number one, these people have massive self control, self awareness. They know exactly who they are and they know that no matter what goes on in the outside world, outside environment, they can always control their attitude, the way they react and their emotions. Number two, they understand that to make more, to do more, to be more successful starts with you. You have to bring more value. And number three, they're constantly reinvesting in their own education. They understand that even if the stock market crashes, investing in yourself is still the best investment you can make. It always pays dividends. So if you're out there right now and you're struggling, you're not happy with where you're at, you're jobless. This is your chance to rewrite your future. It is a clean slate. But to do it well, you got to ask yourself those three questions. Are you self, aware? Do you have self control? Or are you blaming the outside environment right now, the news, all this bad juju coming into our world. Number two, are you bringing value? One thing I have struggled with for so long is careers and jobs that pay you a promotion or pay you more based on your tenure. So you've been there 10 years, you should be pay more. Why are you bringing more value? What if you spent those 10 years repeating your first year 10 times? And number three, are you reinvesting in your own education? Are you just trying to pick people's brains on your way to success? Listen, I understand money might be tight right now, but I bet there's books on your shelf collecting dust that you can start reading. There's an entire library of content on YouTube to teach you how to do some amazing things. There are no excuses anymore. So if you want to create that new future for yourself, start with wondering or start figuring out how to become more self aware, how to have more self control. Number two, determine how much value you can bring. If you want to make more, do more, earn more, start bringing more value. And number three, always look to reinvest in yourself. It's the best investment you ever make. And you do that stuff well, this future we're all rewriting right now is going to be a hell of a lot brighter for you.
