Just got done speaking here in Salt Lake City to their international DI society and the message was very clear. There are three mistakes I see most insurance companies, advisors and agencies make that are messing up their marketing. Number one, you don't actually believe you need marketing, which is not true. I guarantee no.
Matter who you are.
Not enough people know who you are right now.
And your number one.
Competition is not the people down the street. It's commoditization. That's your biggest problem. You've got to get more people to know you. Marketing is the way to get more people to know you. Now in a number.
Two is you.
Are marketing driven versus market driven.
All of your marketing is about you. You're concerned about your logos, your fonts, your colors.
Nobody cares. You need to be market driven. You need to tell the prospect story. And number three.
All you do is.
Direct marketing. And you spend zero time brand marketing.
What are you doing? You're buying huge lists of thousands of prospects filled with people who don't know who you are, and then you're punching them left and.
Right with direct marketing. You got to give them value through brand marketing. Let them get to know you, like you and trust you. That is how you leverage market marketing in 2022.
