Andy Neary breaks down why proposals fail: salespeople wait until the final document to prove value instead of showing it throughout the sales cycle, skip tough discovery questions that qualify prospects, and never set clear expectations or build credibility. Prove value early, challenge prospects early, and communicate a transparent process.

So why do so many opportunities die at the finish line? You, you do everything right up until that proposal, and then right at the time you're gonna make the ask to win the business, the deal dies. Why does that happen over and over and over again? Well, number one, you're placing too much value on the proposal itself. You're waiting until the proposal to prove your value. It's too late. You've gotta prove your value early, often, and throughout the sales process. You failed to ask the tough questions early. We're going to talk about that in this module. In that discovery meeting, are you challenging the prospect early to make sure you are talking to a highly qualified prospect? You didn't set any clear expectations throughout the sales process. If the prospect doesn't know what to do next, they're going to get stuck. If you did not clearly communicate your process to them, You are not building credibility and you didn't spend any time building credibility throughout the sales process.
