So here we are, two days from Thanksgiving, and the gratitude posts are going to pour out over social media for the next few days. But this morning, I've got a confession to make. In recent years, I've actually been guilty of being a taker. You see, I've been guilty of reaching out to people to pick their brains to take information from them. I've been guilty of giving advice to individuals and businesses only to be upset because I didn't get paid. Heck, I've even been guilty of being unwilling to give out ideas and strategies because someone might steal them or take advantage of them. That's just being a taker. My perception was changed when I read the book the Go Giver and read this. Your true net worth will be determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment. So this morning, I want to give thanks to all those men and women who get up every day to bring value to their industry, to their peers, and to their clients. Even more value than they take in payment. So this morning, look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself, are you a giver or are you just taking? Because the universe is always listening. And the more you give, the more you will always get in return. Till next time, Happy Thanksgiving. And you know what to do. Bear down, focus on the target and strike out the status quo.
