Do you even know WHY you do what you do?!?

Andy Neary reflects on a chaotic week of travel and client work, arguing that knowing your personal why is what makes grinding through rejection and exhaustion bearable. He challenges you to use the upcoming two-week break to clarify your purpose for 2020.

Okay, so it's late Thursday evening. It's been a long, long week. I had an insurance advisor out to see me in Fort Collins to work on his message and marketing. Chris did a phenomenal job. He's excited. He's ready to go back and put his plan of action into work for 2020 in his market. I can't wait to see the results he's going to get. But then I had to jump on a plane, head to Nebraska to assist a client, jump on another plane, come here tonight to Madison, Wisconsin to help another client tomorrow. It's been a long week and it's in these weeks that you could easily let things crumble. It's in these weeks that you could sit here and go, why am I even doing this? But it's in that moment you have to look in the mirror and totally have a clear picture of what your why is. You need to understand the why behind everything you do in business and life. Because when you do, it makes these long weeks more palatable. It makes those days when you get 10 to 12 no's more digestible because you know exactly why you're doing what you're doing and it allows you to keep pushing forward. So here's my challenge to you. We're about to go into the two week holiday break. If you're struggling right now, if you don't like what you're doing, you're not happy with your life, you're not happy with the money you make, I want you to look in the mirror over these two weeks and I want you to figure out what your why is. I want you to go into 2020 having a clear, crystal clear picture of exactly what why you do what you do. Because I promise you, if you do, every day you wake up, you know you're going to be making an impact. Every day you wake up with a game plan and every day you're going to wake up knowing exactly why you are doing what you do. And it's going to make your days, your weeks, and it's going to make your 2020 a hell of a lot better. Happy holidays and let's make this happen.
