It's not about in any way being good at the sport. It sounds odd like I don't, it's where my kids, I want them to be good. I don't care if they're good though. I don't have to live vicariously through my children. I've done my sports thing. My wife does her thing. If my son does well, great. I want him to do well for him. I want him to be proud of himself because it's all going to end someday. The sports is all going to stop and come to a screeching halt. And at that point we have to have the skill sets to continue to do what it took to get great at sports, which was have communication with people, take feedback, do hard things. All these things you learn in sports, if you can't then turn them and face them outward, you will fall on your face. Even if you're good at the sport.
