A short YouTube conversation led by Andy Neary offering practical advice for frequent business travelers on managing alcohol consumption and healthier eating while on the road. Early tips include removing oils from meals, ordering club soda with lime to appear to be drinking, choosing low-calorie mixed drinks (example: gin and soda), and social tactics for declining drinks gracefully.
If I were to give any advice from a diet perspective, because, you know, the two things you probably see the most when you go out and you're on the road is poor eating habits and too much alcohol. Right. Try to see if you can get rid of the oils. Like, can you cook it without the oil?
Exactly. You can't mess that up.
I will grab a club soda with a lime so it looks like I have a drink because I would get sick of so many people being what are you not drinking tonight?
Because then they don't even ask. Can't tell the difference in that. And a gin and soda as an example. Right. Let's say I know drinking will be a part of a night.
I will bow out. You'll never know I left out and.
You don't know I left. But I also know in between. Let's say I want to limit it to two or three drinks. And really that's kind of. My maximum is three drinks over the course of hours. Then it has to include something in between to, you know. One, it's to, you know, has a facade of look like you're drinking so you don't have to answer those questions. Two, you're rehydrating yourself in between those drinks.
