Great lesson 👆 on practicing what you preach.

And so I was working with the Iowa football program after graduation. Awesome experience. It was very cool. But it was a grind, you know, 14, 15 hours a day. Getting in there bright and early. I had to do book talks, so all their freshmen that they had coming into the program had to read like, eat that frog. Or energy. Even the football players, atomic habits. All the coaches, new coaches. And then I had to do the workout. So he's like, you're not going to teach my players if you can't do the workouts yourself and also be able to teach the workouts. And so the coaches would teach me the progression of certain movements, whether that's, you know, hang cleans or squats, things like that. And then I had to reteach that back to them. Had a rude awakening early on because I kind of put my own twist on it. And he goes, no, it literally needs to be word for word. Because their philosophy was, if a coach comes up and you're correcting someone on their squad, weight on your heels, or, you know, things like that, someone comes up and says something different, well, while they're doing a movement, maybe that's not clicking in their mind or things like that.
