Here's Why Social Media is a WASTE OF YOUR TIME!

Andy Neary tells insurance brokers they're wasting social media by just reposting industry articles. Instead, share personal content consistently to build trust and get warmer prospects. It takes patience, but it works.

This message is for insurance brokers, so listen in. Please start sharing your personal side on social media. Some of you are doing a really good job of it. Most of you are not. I've had far too many conversations with brokers lately who are telling me social media is a waste of time and watching how you use it, I would have to agree. Why? Because everything you post is about the industry. You share an article about the healthcare industry, about the health insurance companies, business insurance. You share articles with no comments. You're giving people no chance to get to know who you are. I have said this over and over again. I've beaten it to death. This is a game of attention. It's about who knows you, likes you and trusts you. And when you start sharing your personal side, you start sharing you on social media. You're gonna give chance to people, GP people the chance to know you and you're gonna give them a chance to like you. Wouldn't you love to schedule a prospecting meeting with someone who already feels like they know you? How warm would that be versus Hey, I scheduled a cold call, I got a meeting. But this person has no idea who I really am. Trust me, it works. It takes consistency and patience. It's not overnight, but if you start sharing your personal side on social media, you're going to create better relationships and better engagement and better conversations with your prospects. Which is going to lead to a hell of a lot more wins. So give it a try. Let me know how it goes. Please start sharing you.
