How High Is Your Business ERA? [Friday Bullpen Sessions Episode 4]

Andy Neary (Friday Bullpen Sessions, Episode 4) reframes "ERA" as Engagement, Relationships, and Authority and argues business growth requires raising that ERA by increasing visibility. He urges consistent storytelling across five awareness pillars—centers of influence, email, social media, webinars, and public speaking—and closes with a call-to-action to share content and engage prospects more frequently.

Hey. Hey. Welcome back to Friday Bullpen Sessions. This is episode four. Today, I want to talk to you about your era. Now, if you're a baseball fan out there, you think, andy, why in the world are you going to talk to me about earned run average? No, no, no, no. Today, I'm going to talk about a different kind of era that is engagement, relationships, and authority. What am I talking about? Well, yesterday I had the fortunate opportunity to speak to a room full of insurance advisors down in Jackson, Mississippi. And one thing advisors struggle with, and I think if you're out there growing a business, today you're in sales. You probably struggle with this, too. Whatever industry you're in right now, you have a ton of noise. You're probably a commodity to your prospects, even though you think you're different, and no one knows who you are, if you're not constantly letting your target audience know who you are. So you need to work on elevating your era. Now, in baseball, as a pitcher, my era, my earned run average was the metric by which I was judged 20 years ago. The higher it was, the better chance I might get demoted or I could even get released and cut. In your case, when we're talking about engagement, relationships, and authority, you want that thing to be as high as you can. So you need to be out there sharing your message and telling your message as often as you can. You need to be using the five pillars of awareness I talked about on a previous Bullpen session. Centers of influence, Email, social media, webinars, public speaking. Because when you create that awareness of who you are and more people know you, more people like you, that's going to elevate your engagement with your prospects. That's going to elevate the relationships you create with those prospects. And it's going to absolutely elevate your authority within your own market. So do me a favor, make this the year you start telling your story. Make this the year you start sharing your message more often. Make this the year you get people to know who you are. Because when you do, you know what happens. Your ERA goes up, your opportunities go up, and your business grows. So do me a favor, let me know if you got any questions. Let me know what you think about these episodes, because I want to make sure I'm bringing content that's beneficial for you. And do me a favor, and if these are making an impact on you, please share these with people you know that you think could benefit from the message. So that's it for this week. Go out there, take the mound, grab those sales and make your era as high as it possibly can be.
