Andy Neary walks through finding prospects on LinkedIn by searching location and job title, then engaging with their posts before reaching out. Spend 5 to 10 minutes daily liking and commenting on content from CFOs or other targets in your area to build familiarity and move conversations off platform.

Alright, welcome back to the Complete Game community. This week I'm going to show you an engagement strategy that is going to take your prospecting on LinkedIn to the next level.
Alright?
It's 2021. We have been in this pandemic based environment for almost a year now and connecting with your prospects has gotten a little harder, hasn't it? Especially when we're living in this virtual world. I talked to so many insurance advisors who are struggling right now to make the proper connections with their prospects. And if you're using LinkedIn right now to grow your business, there's an engagement strategy you're missing right now, you're not leveraging that can help you take your connections to the next level with your ideal prospects. You see, I hear from insurance advisors all the time, andy, I tried LinkedIn, it doesn't work. I'm not engaging with my prospects. No one's liking and commenting on my stuff. And it's simply because you're missing or not using a very strategic strategy to grow your business on LinkedIn. And one of those secret tools, one of those strategies that is going to help you take your engagement with your prospects to the next level is actually engaging with their content. You see so many people go on LinkedIn right now to take. I go there and I may post a piece of content or two, but I want, I want, I want a meeting, I want a discussion. And my question to you is what are you doing to go on the platform to give, yes, content's one thing, but you need to be engaging with the content of your ideal prospects. What I'm going to do in this.
Week'S coaching video is I am going to literally dive into my own LinkedIn profile to show you how it's done.
All right, Here I am on my LinkedIn profile.
What you're looking at is my homepage. And I'm going to show you how you can use a very simple engagement strategy to start engaging with your ideal prospects content and eventually bring value to them with yours. And with the ultimate goal, you're gonna pull them off the platform, the LinkedIn platform, to drive them to a phone call or a zoom chat. So where you see my cursor right now is up in the search box. Here's how easy engaging with your target prospects can be. Now let's imagine I have a book of business here in Fort Collins, Colorado, where I live. If I were to simply just type in Fort Collins, Colorado and I hit enter, what's going to pull up is a bunch of content tied to the city of Fort Collins, Colorado. Now you'll notice up here I've got posts, I've got people, I've got companies, I've got groups, I've got jobs. You can click on each and every one of those. And everything that I am going to see from here on out is going to be tied to Fort Collins, Colorado. So if you're an advisor who has clients in a certain geographic market, this is the easiest way to gauge. Now let's imagine I click on people. This is how I start connecting with the right target prospects. You see, if I click on people, these are all second, first, second, third connections of mine. In the city of Fort Collins, Colorado, if I go to filters, all I've got to do is filter by first, second or third connections. I can even filter by key words. If I typed in CFO inside the title Fort Collins, Colorado, what is going to pull up is all the CFOs in Fort Collins, Colorado right now that are first, second or third connections of mine. So number one, connecting with the right prospects is so easy when you use the search button and the filters effectively. Now let's go back and let's go look for how we can start engaging with content that is tied to Fort Collins, Colorado. Again, let's imagine my target audience is sitting in this city. This is where I do my business. When I type in Fort Collins, Colorado in the search button and I go and click post, this is going to give me all of the posts on social media on LinkedIn that are tied to Fort Collins, Colorado. Now you're going to notice most of these second connections. These are people I am not connected with. But here's how easy engaging with your target prospects content can be.
Number one, if they're a first connection.
They'Re going to pop up. Number two, these are potentially target prospects.
For me right now.
So I could go post by post by post and look for targets where I can engage in their content. So let's use Hob Wabina for a second who is a thriving financial professional strategist. If I clicked on his post here and he is making a post about do you have a place for smart money needs? Join us for a 30 minute educational. I can simply go in, I can like it and I can actually comment on his post and write Hub or Hob. This looks like.
A great workshop. Boom. Post. And now I just posted on Hobbs piece of content. He is a potential target of mine here in Fort Collins, Colorado. So my point in sharing with you.
This Strategy here on LinkedIn is I.
Hear it from you every, all the time.
Andy, I can engage with my prospects right now. It's harder than ever with the pandemic.
With the lockdown being in this virtual environment. But I'm here to tell you, prospecting on LinkedIn has never been easier. It is the world's largest free networking party. And if you take the time to use this search button, you can search by job titles, you can search by markets, geographical markets, and you start looking for the right people and the right posts that you can engage in, engage with, you will start making the right connections with your target prospects. And again, when you take the time to engage in their content, even before you ask them to engage in yours, you're bringing value. They're starting to get to know you. They may even start getting to like you. And, wow, is that a much more effective way to prospect than picking up the phone every single day and calling a bunch of people who have no idea who you are?
And there you have it.
So do me a favor.
This week, I want you to sit down, I want you to take five, take 10 minutes every single day. I want you to go on LinkedIn, I want you to type those hashtags.
Into the search button, and, and I.
Want you to start engaging with the content from your ideal prospects. Because if you apply some consistency and some patience to the strategy, I promise your prospects are going to start reaching out to you. They're going to start engaging with your content as long as you're posting it. And before you know it, here you are having a conversation with your prospects. You're pulling them offline to a phone call, a zoom chat. And that is such an effective way to connect with your prospects versus trying to pick up the phone and cold call people every single day. So give it a try. Let me know if you have any questions. But this, my friend, is how you are going to take your LinkedIn business growth and your LinkedIn prospecting to the next level.
