If you want to land good speaking opportunities, you have got to have the right marketing resources. And in this video, I'm going to share three assets that are going to help ensure you land on the biggest stage in front of your ideal prospects. Hi, my name is Andy Neary, CEO and founder of Complete Game Consulting, where we are on a mission to help 25,000 insurance professionals sell their first $250,000. And in this video, I'm going to share a couple tools that are going to help make sure you land speaking opportunities. Now, if you've been watching our recent videos, you've noticed I've been talking a lot about public speaking. There's a reason, because it is one of the best prospecting tools you'll have if you leverage it the right way. You see, there's nothing that builds more credibility than you standing on stage in front of your ideal prospects. And there is nothing that turns a cold suspect into a hot prospect as fast as public speaking. You could literally have somebody come in the room who doesn't know who you are and and 45 to 60 minutes later they want to talk to you with, talk with you. Nothing else does that. And in this video, we're going to share some tools that are going to help make sure you stand out when plan event planners and conference planners are looking for their next speaker. Because here's where you get stuck. You're bought in and you want to use speaking to grow your business. Especially if you've been watching my recent videos, but you're not, they're not happening. You know who you want to talk to. You want to talk to HR professionals, CEOs, CFOs, but you're not sure what you need to make sure they pick you so you can speak in front of their members. Today I'm going to help you solve that because you need three things to ensure you give yourself the best chance to get picked to speak at the next event or conference you would like to speak at. The first thing is you need a good talk. Yes, you need to have a good presentation that you are going to deliver to the audience you intend to talk to. So, so whether it is a group of HR professionals or C suite executives, you have got to have a talk that delivers value to that specific audience. And the asset you need is a talk summary. So if you're looking at my screen right now, what you see here is my keynote summary of the talk that I'm delivering the most these days. The Insurance Agent Sales Playbook three step process to go from unknown to unstoppable. What is the key or what are the keys to a good keynote talk? Good presentation summary number one, got to have a good title. Title has to be clear. Ditch clever for clear. The title's got to be very clear about who you're talking to and what information you are going to be giving to them. The next thing you want on a talk summary is a good description, what we call a program bio. Give me a description of what's going to be in the talk. What am I going to learn by coming and watching you speak? And then the third thing is our key takeaways. If you look at the left, left hand side here, I include four key takeaways that the audience will walk out of the room with if they come and attend my presentation. A talk summary gives a event planner, a conference planner, a good idea what kind of content you deliver that is going to help them determine if you're going to be a good fit for their members or their audience. The second thing you need is a professional bio. At a minimum, a bio is necessary because if you get picked to speak, they need something to introduce you with and your bio is the best way to do that. So you can't just create some cheap word document and call it a bio. No, no, no, no. Your professional bio has got to look good. If you look at my bio here, I've got a very good headshot on the top half of the bio and then the bottom half is dedicated to who I am, what I do, and a little bit about me outside of work. You see, the bio is built for credibility. When event and conference planners are determining who they're going to pick to speak, your bio will help them determine if you have the credibility, the expertise to deliver a talk on the subject they're looking to bring to their members. So the second thing you have to have, second marketing asset you have to have is a good professional bio. So a good talk summary and a good professional bio are going to go a long way to help you land on stages and in front of your target audiences. Now, the third asset could really help you set up, set yourself apart. And that is good demo reel. If you can get a recording of you speaking, this is going to help set you apart. Because having the ability to send an event or conference planner actual footage of you speaking gives them an opportunity to watch and get a feel if you've got the right vibe, the right energy, the right content to help their members. Now, if you're new to your speaking career and you don't have any footage of you speaking yet. That's okay. Why not go to an auditorium or somewhere where you could speak, even if it's to an empty audience, and have somebody record you so the event and conference planners you're reaching out to can watch you speak. And that's going to give them the comfort to know that you are the right person for their people. So these are three assets you want to leverage if you want to use speaking to grow your business. You need a good talk summary, which means you need to develop a good presentation. That talk summary should have a good title that is clear, a good program bio, a description on what the talk is about, and then highlight some key takeaways the audience will leave with if they attend your talk. You got to have a good professional bio because they got to introduce you on stage. And that bio should include what makes you credible, where you're an expert, and then a little bit about you outside of your profession. And you want to take it to the next level. Get some demo reels so you can send footage of you speaking. This is going to help you stand apart. So the next time you reach out to and connect with an event planner or a conference planner, you've got these three assets. You can send it to them and they're going to go, wow, this speaker is legit. This is what I use to help ensure I land the most speaking opportunities I can. And this is what I think is going to help you do the same. So leverage these, get to work on building a talk summary, a bio, and then work with somebody to help get some footage of you speaking. And you will use speaking to grow your business in ways you could have never imagined. It's about taking it seriously. And these three assets will help you stand apart from all the other speakers they're looking to bring on their stages.
