If you’re going to scale your business, you have to buy back your time and delegate tasks to others.

Andy Neary presents a short coaching piece introducing the DRIP matrix to help business owners reallocate their time for growth. The DRIP matrix categorizes tasks as: D (Delegate/eliminate tasks that bring no joy and no revenue), R (Replace—tasks that generate revenue but you dislike, so hire/assign others), I (Invest—activities you love but that don't grow the business, which should be scheduled for happiness), and P (Produce/Focus—tasks you love that generate revenue and deserve ~80% of your time). The recommendation is to use this matrix to delegate or eliminate low-value tasks, replace yourself on disliked revenue tasks, schedule joyful non-business activities, and concentrate most time on high-value, revenue-generating work.
