Short YouTube video by Andy Neary advising LinkedIn content creators to produce more thought leadership content because the platform's algorithm is currently amplifying such posts. He reports a sharp increase in impressions over the past ~90 days and recommends teaching prospects thoroughly (so they see value but still need to hire you), combining thought leadership with personal stories, and targeting content around who you want to be known for.

Hey, quick tip for all my people creating content on LinkedIn. I do not know what has happened to the algorithm. Maybe LinkedIn can answer this video, but they are promoting the heck out of thought leadership content. Again, I have not changed how I've done my videos, but 90 days ago I would have been happy to get a couple thousand impressions on a video. I'm now getting over a hundred thousand impressions on some of them. It's unbelievable. So my advice, start creating more thought leadership content. What can you do to build thought leadership with your prospects? What can you do to teach them everything they need to know about what you do to the point where they could almost do it themselves, but they need to hire you? This is the kind of content I want you focusing on. Yes, personal stories are great. It lets people get to know you, but you can't rely on those. You got to build thought leadership and LinkedIn has given you the space to absolutely explode that content right now. So take advantage of it. Think about who you're targeting, what you do best, what you want to become known for, and that is how you're going to build that thought leadership.
