So last week we dove into risk management. Area number one, financing risk. How are you financing your health plan? This week we're diving into area number two, which is catastrophic risk. What are you doing to help those that need the most help inside your health plan? If you remember the Pareto principle, it holds true. In your health plan, 20% of your members are driving 80% of your claims. So what are you doing to drive the size and the frequency of those claims down? If you're being told right now those claims are what they are and you can't do anything about them, take a different course. Because with the right tools and the right strategies, you can help those folks find the right care at the right place, at the right time and at the right price, ultimately impacting the cost of your health plan. I hope you're finding these tips useful. Feel free to share with anybody you like. And until next time, bear down. Focus on the target and strike out the status quo.
