Andy Neary delivers a short motivational monologue describing how growing up surrounded by older, more capable peers forced him to "play bigger" and think bigger. He connects that childhood experience to business: seek out masterminds and people who challenge and elevate you rather than merely validate your existing beliefs, and actively find tribes that will push your thinking, business, and life to a higher level.

So today's video is inspired by some news that I received over the weekend about a guy that I looked up, absolutely looked up to as a kid. He and his son were in a really bad car accident, and they have a long road ahead of them. So, Ross Kupfer, Jacob, thoughts and prayers are with you. Ross is and was one of the toughest sobs I've ever met. So, Ross, I know you guys are gonna make it through just fine.
But it got me thinking about my.
Childhood and growing up as a kid where I was one of the youngest kids in my neighborhood of about 20, 25 children. And when you're constantly surrounding yourself with older kids, here's what happens.
Number one, you do take a beating.
More mentally than physically, but it forces you to play bigger.
It forces you to think bigger. You can't sit complacent.
And I also think about all the.
Time I spent as a child serving as the bat boy for my dad's baseball team.
Again, constantly surrounding myself with the juniors.
And seniors made me think bigger, play bigger.
They challenged me.
They did not let me sit complacent. Now, in business, I know this is.
Why I constantly seek surrounding myself with people who are wiser and at a different level than I am.
That's why I love masterminds.
Every time I sign up for one.
I'm a little scared I'm probably going to be the dumbest one in the room. But that's actually a good thing.
I actually think about what my life would look like today if I was the oldest kid in my neighborhood when I was a child. And I urge you to do the same thing.
If you're a business, you run a business, you're in sales, it can be lonely. As much as we're connected right now in this world, business can be very lonely.
And I ask you to consider this. Are you trying to surround yourself with people who are going to force you to be better, force you to think differently, challenge you?
Or are you finding that you're surrounding.
Yourself with people right now that are just validating what you think you already know?
Because the more time you spent with.
Those or spend with those that are going to lift you up and challenge you, trust me, it's going to take.
Your business, your thinking, and your life.
To a whole different level.
So today, take the time to think about who you're surrounding yourself with and.
Start finding those groups, those masterminds, the tribes of people. They're going to take your mind, your business, and your life to a whole new level. You'll never regret it.
