Oh, shit, what did I do? And in that moment, I made another really good decision. Number one, I realized the first lesson that I want to share with everybody today is knowledge is not power. If you can't communicate your knowledge, none of it matters. Your ability to communicate the knowledge you have is where the power lies. But in that moment, I made two investments. Number one, I invested in becoming a better communicator. I joined the National Speakers association here in Colorado. They had a six month speakers academy. I jumped right in. When that academy was over, I hired my own speaking coach. Because I said, if I'm going to win in a market where nobody knows who I am, I got to be the best communicator around. I've got the knowledge. I've got to communicate.
