Andy Neary explains why he writes these weekly emails: to share strategies employers can use to build better health insurance plans. He argues that typical broker advice—shopping carriers, raising deductibles, shifting costs to employees—doesn't work. He promises to cover newer approaches that have emerged in the last 5 to 10 years.

Hey there. Just want to take a second to thank you for taking the time to digest my weekly emails. The goal with my emails is to share strategies, ideas and tactical tips that you can deploy to help yourself build the best health insurance plan for your employees that you can. And I do that because right now you are struggling, like every employer, to battle the ever increasing cost of health insurance. And unfortunately, every year you get told the same information from your broker. You're told to shop the insurance companies, you're told to tweak your plan design, raise deductibles, or hey, let's go switch employee contributions yet again. There's a different way to do that. There's a better way to build your health plan today that wasn't available to you five or ten years ago. And that's my goal with my emails. I want to show you what is out there and what is available to you. So I hope the emails are helpful. I hope they're not annoying. Do me a favor, when you get a chance, shoot me a note at my email address and let me know what you think. Are these tips and strategies helping you do a better job of building a better health plan for your employees? I'd be grateful if you took the time. Thank you.
