A short motivational YouTube talk by Andy Neary that uses the New England Patriots' 2017 Super Bowl comeback as a halftime metaphor for mid-2020. Neary contrasts the option to "cash in" after a difficult first half of the year with choosing to treat the remaining six months as an opportunity for a comeback, urging viewers to act and make 2020 a transformational year.

Do you remember the 2017 Super Bowl? Sorry, Falcons fans. This one's gonna sting a little. If you remember, for one half, the Atlanta Falcons were kicking the crap out of the New England Patriots at halftime. The score was 21 3. The game wasn't even that close, and everybody was talking about how the magical Patriots dynasty had come to an end. It was a great run, but it had to end sometime, right? Everybody was thinking that way except the New England Patriots. You see, at halftime, they had two choices. They could have said, you know what, guys? It's been a great run. Let's tip our cap to the Falcons. They're better team today. Let's cash it in. Super bowl run is over. But they didn't. They said, you know what? It's halftime. It's just 30 minutes. We have another 30 minutes to go. We have another 30 minutes to Go out and kick their butt and prove we are the greatest team that has ever played in the NFL. And that's exactly what they did. In fact, in the third quarter, the Falcons came out and scored another touchdown to make it 28 3. But then the Patriots went on that magical run, chipped away, chipped away, chipped away, sent the game into overtime and ended up winning the Super Bowl. I share that with you because guess what today is June 22nd. We're just a couple weeks away from the 4th of July. We're at halftime of 2020. And you know what? For most of us, it has kicked our ass.
But we're at halftime. So you have two choices. You can cash the rest of the year in, tip your calf to 2020, and say, hey, you are the better team. Or you can pause and say, you know what? I still got six months to make this the best year I have ever had. So which way are you gonna go? Are you gonna cash it in, hoping nothing else goes wrong this year? Or are you gonna dig deep, bear down, and say, you know what? I've got six more months to make this the best year I've ever had. Hope you choose wisely, because at the end of the year, we'll all look back at on this as one of the strangest years we ever had. But we can also look back on this year as the greatest transformation we ever had. So go out, make it happen, make it a great week, and know that you have one half left to go out and do some great things.
