Happy Friday and welcome back to highly caffeinated conversations with Amy and Andy. Episode 16. Today we're talking about mind your own beeswax. I don't know if your mom ever told you that, but my mom sure as heck did. And with everything that's just kind of going on in our world and just everyday life. Mind your own business. I think there's a lot as things have shifted right now of people worried about, like, who's spending how much time and how they're schooling their kids and so. And so only did it for an hour and she gave the kids a day off. Like, who cares? We have a holiday coming up. And some people are wondering, like, well, they're not going to celebrate. Well, they're not doing the church online. And they should be going, who's dressing up, who's not, who's coloring eggs? Mind your own business. I had a friend this sparked from a friend who sent me this Marco Polo app. I don't know, I'm getting all these apps these days. And it started out with her recording her Marco Polo app while she's driving. And she goes, please don't judge me for doing this while I'm driving. I promise I won't kill myself. And I thought I wasn't going to. Like, I don't care. I mind my own business. You do you girlfriend, Andy. How can this pertain to business? So in coaching my clients, I'm getting a lot asking me right now, like, how can I be more productive at home? And I see them trying to literally work as if nothing has changed. Here's my advice. It's changed. Don't judge yourself. If you're not productive one day because you have the distraction of your kids, or in our case, our dog wants a lot of attention, don't judge yourself. You're gonna have bad days right now. You're gonna have unproductive days. It's okay. And more importantly, don't compare yourself to what others are doing. Others are overworking right now. They're not being productive whatsoever. They're just continuously working from 8 to 6 at night doing really nothing. And so my advice to you on the business side is figure out how you can get more done in less time so that you can spend time with your kids, your pets, your spouse, whoever it is. And most importantly, don't care what others are doing. Just focus on yourself. And I promise you, you will get more crap done in less time and you will be happy with what you're doing. Because you know what? When you're worried about what everybody else is doing. You're wasting your own time when you could be working and being more productive, or you could be doing something fun, but instead you're wasting all your time worrying about what everybody else is doing. So don't judge yourself, don't judge others. Don't compare. Just stay in your lane, focus on your own crap, and mind your own beeswax. Till tomorrow. Enjoy tomorrow.
